    Sasha Barkov
    NHL All-Star Game 2018,2023
    Lady Byng Memorial Trophy 2019
    Frank J. Selke Trophy 2021,2024
    Stanley Cup champion 2024
    Smells like hockey hall of fame. And he's 28.

    I'm surprised ESPN didn't talk about him more, especially since he was second in Conn Smythe voting. He was sensational for Florida.

      ESPN only cares about McDavid. Plus South Florida hockey is something the media will always love to underrate. Not saying that's fair, he and Bobrovsky belong in the Hall of Fame.

    • @HMul-po3yb
      @HMul-po3yb 12 дней назад +5

      I'm not surprised. All we heard was McDavid, McDavid, McDavid. No Pro team from Florida ever gets any respect or recognition. It's because all the attention goes to the franchises that have been around for 100 years. Any team from Florida is young by comparison, so therefore they can't be any good. Well the Panthers showed them.

    • @FelixWheatfield
      @FelixWheatfield 12 дней назад

      @@HMul-po3yb Except you don't hear this kind of willful indifference with Vegas or Seattle or Columbus for that matter, and they haven't even been around 30 years so much as won a cup. Florida as a state in general is the butt of many jokes, sports related or otherwise and many of them well deserved. But the NHL has no one to blame but themselves for sending some of its greatest players right now down there. And you know what's even worse? *Tampa* doesn't even get that much flack. People just forget that the Panthers have had amazing moments all throughout their history just because they spent the majority of it severely underperforming.

    I think if there was clear stats available for his ability to hinder opponents scoring leaders. That Hart trophy might be closer. But as it is pretty much scoring leader trophy, I doubt Barkov will ever be rewarded with that.

      The reason he is underrated is clear
      One of the playoff games against rangers one of the commentators says something along this: matthew tkachuk is the reason panthers are playing so well and spine of this defence first playstyle while the truth is panthers would crumble to DUST without barkov 2 way play
      And its quite clearly also when you look at different broadcastings and interviews = who is the person that reporters stop first? Matthew cuz he is more media sexy

    С.Барков, мне напоминает П.Дацюка, возможно он не так эффектен как Паша, но в чём то он похож. Мягкая манера игры, хорошее чутьё , выверенные пасы. Временами действительно Саша похож на Дацюка, но в наше современное время. Короче, Саша Барков, это Дацюк на минималках ( Саша ещё молод, так что у него ещё есть время для прогресса )
