Love this blanket pattern. Alison’s teaching is fantastic. I have made several blankets in different colour ways and sizes. Those folk who receive them always tell me how much they love them too. Thank you Alison.

I've always been intimidated by this virus pattern....it's gorgeous! If anyone can break it down into manageable steps for my simple brain, it will be YOU! I will be trying this one for certain!

Wow Alison ! So delicate and precious looking stitch ! I love it ! You are INCREDIBLE ! And so very sweet for sharing and teaching people from all over the world....FOR FREE ! It means so much that I don't get referred to a website to purchase a pattern or stitch. I'm not rich, but I still want to knit and crochet. I did with my Gramma and great Gramma, when I was little, so for me, this is something very near and dear to my heart, where websites to purchase anything, doesn't exist for me. It's not something I could ever put a monetary figure on. It goes straight from here to my heart. I've got a super special place in my heart for you and your little buddy. I love you for doing this so much as it is definitely food for my heart and soul. I love everything you make ! And you are so sweet and kind and humble. I love when you get boxes and appreciate each thing so much. You are so gracious. I hope the people that are lucky enough to be able to spend time with you, know how very precious you and your time are. I sure would love to get to spend time with you over a coffee or anything. I don't have that anymore and all my kids are grown and gone and the hubs isn't going to sit and knit or crochet with me over a great cup of jo. I sure wish the world was full of Alisons !

I'm making this in a soft, strawberry-milk pink yarn for my niece-to-be and I must say, your voice is super relaxing to me! Being able to hear you explain how this blanket is made is not only helpful, but it gives me a calm sense when I'm working on it. You're also very encouraging, so I thank you for the thorough and kind explanation. Love your videos! Stay strong and always do what you do in LOVE!

Try as I might I couldn't get my blanket to lay flat. I did three attempts, quite a few rows each time, but no luck! Used a thick Aran yarn with a 6mm hook as it was more like chunky but turned out with ripples. Was so disappointed ☹️ I would love to master it as it's a beautiful blanket! xxx

Hi Alison. I just wanted to pop in to say how much I enjoy your tutorials. Your calmness and patience is just lovely and you make me feel that I can do anything! I sometimes just put one of your tutorials on when things get a bit crazy just to be in a calm space for a while. When you say “If you are in the USA” to indicate the difference between UK terms, just wanted you to know that Canada also uses the North American terminology. Had to put a plug in for Canada LOL. Thanks so much for all the wonderful tutorials. God Bless.

Well I'm very pleased to say that I am halfway through my virus blanket. I can't tell you how happy I am! 😊 Took Alison's good advice and used a smaller hook, there is still a slight ripple when holding it up but it goes away when the blanket is laid flat! 😮 Can't ask for more than that!!! For those of you who feel that they can't do this pattern I would say "" don't hesitate, just go for it! " Alison never gives us anything we can't handle, I know it looks complicated but it really isn't! Once you get used to the four row repeat it's so easy to follow. Hey, if an old lady of 70 ( me! ) can do it then anyone can! 😂😅 One thing I will say about this virus pattern is please check your stitch count often, it won't work out otherwise! Also, watch where Alison puts her hook when you need to miss spaces, that, too, is important! I love this blanket so much and can't wait to start another one! ❤ Thank you very much Alison for sharing this with us, I really do appreciate it! 😊 Lots of love to you and dear Muttley 🐕‍🦺♥️xxx
