Just put a Cooper's Irish stout on, added 1kg spray malt, swooped yeast for mangrove jacks new age ale yeast can ferment a little cooler. And added a Harris pure brew additive to remove chlorines before pitching and feed yeast. So how this turns out once brewed
I love the Young's stout, it's from nice. I must try the Cooper's Irish stout. Did you change the yeast or use the std under the top of can......just curious
The young’s is very nice I agree I had a group of friends over and a keg of each they where all split on what was the favorite. I just used what came with the tin and 1kg of Spraymalt extra dark. Cheers mate happy brewing let me no which is your favorite when you brew it . Shamrock stout is also very good 🍻
I tried the std Cooper's which is really nice when I lived in Australia about 15 yrs ago which is bloody good. My Mrs bought me a kit about 5 years ago. The Young's....I didn't touch it (the kit) then decided to give it a go. I bought a yeast as obviously thinking a 5 yes old yeast won't cut the mustard, and omg it's sooo nice. Did a newkie brown by Wilko too (awesome)......but must do Cooper's Irish.... Are they your favourites Young's and Irish stout????
Thanks to we got stuck into them had a few pals over , the more we drank we kept changing our minds on which was best 😂 young’s was 4.2% and coopers was 4.7 % . They where strong enough for me
Of course mate . I use only hot water and a glass washer that the pint glass goes over it’s like a brush . I don’t use any detergent as it puts a film on the glass and bad stick . Every now and then I put all my glasses into the dishwasher with no tablets, just to do a deep clean max temperature. Probably only 3 times a year doe or after a big party . Cheers mate happy brewing 🍻
Hi Graham, how do you find the colour on the head ? I've used Cooper's Irish with a spray malt but the head ends up with a slight chocolate ting, would you find that or are they as white as Guinness for you ?
As always great video and honest review, thanks again
Cheers mate 🍻
