How much is the 1997 Lincoln pennies? I have 1
Sean, not to correct you, just informing you! Banks no longer wrap rolls of coins. The rolls of coins that are in boxes you get at the bank are wrapped at armored car companies, such as, Brinks, Garda, Shield, Loomis. These companies receive the coins loose in large bins from the mint that they are produced at and they are wrapped at their facility and distributed to banks that have contracted them to provide this service to them. The banks are charged a fee for each box of coins that are delivered to them. When a bank places an order lets say for 20 boxes of cents(pennies) the bank pays $26.00 for each box, so that means that the armored car service makes a $1.00 on each box. This is also the same for nickels, dimes, quarters, halves and dollars. Now, there are 3 tiers of coins that are wrapped at these facilities. The top tier is for new minted coins and the fee is higher for these boxes. Most banks choose the lower tier as they are cheaper to acquire. Bigger banks that deal in high volume choose the higher tier coins and they absorb the fee and don't pass it off to the customer. As for the lower tier coins these coins are the ones that are recycled from coin star and and other coin collecting machines that are placed in stores. So if you want to get new coins from your bank you must place an order with your bank and request these new coins specifically. If you are a customer in good standing they will accommodate you with out charging you a fee, they will absorb that themselves. This is also true for getting new paper money. Sorry so long winded, but had to pass this on. By the way, like your information that you pass along.
Yes they do. Certain banks do.
I have 1997 D(2)coin where can i sell it?
I have it
👍
I have one 1997 Lincoln cent with no mint mark(Zambia)
Seriously now, you aren't going to find a MS68 or better in your pocket change. Go to your local coin shops and ask to look at their mint sets. If the coins look perfect to your eye, that's a good start, then if it's just a couple hairlines under 7x magnification it's a prospect for at least MS67 or better and worth cherry picking the set for further review and deciding if it really should make MS68 or better and if so then send for grading and take a shot.
Now you could find the doubled ear or an off center, the error types in pocket change and make at least a couple bucks. Between grading fees and the shipping g costs to them and back to you you are easily in for at least $60 on grading costs. This is something everyone thinking about getting a coin graded should keep in mind. If the value isn't at least twice that cost graded at whatever it comes back at, it's probably not worth the cost and time to get it graded. You should be sure of what it should come back at unless you've got plenty of money and like to gamble but the idea is for you to make money off your coin collection, not the grading companies only.
