So far we know that they are capable of these two OP traits: COC and awakening of their df ability. I gotta feelin it's gonna be the enemy of my enemy is my friend situation where the Luffy and BB will team up and all.. I know it's such a cliche, but how the heck can they beat them!? Like, that boar guy has tougher skin than that of Kaido! Power inflation is crazy atm.

As those space suit scum are often take slaves and had offsprings from them, some of those born child might have formidable strength and capacities that when they got indoctrinated (just as how Aramaki Green Bull had such absolute take of the world), they made vow to serve them and be useful to upheld the hegemony. When Spandam got to have an audience with the Five Elders regarding Pluton's blueprint, there was a fair distance that these elders had from the guy with bodies of water separating them. In contrast, Shanks actually allowed to enter the very same room with them. Yeah, Five Elders could be the elected best among the best of God's Knights who are also descendants of World Nobles.
I mean it's not as weighted as you phrased the suggestion. Think, how many times have we seen political higher - ups in not only anime but other cartoons as well. Obviously our first instinct is to assume they were inaugurated.
It is also noted that neither Sengoku nor Tsuru is unfaced during the whole scene, even when Lafette entered or when the convo got heated. Because they know they can even take the whole gang if need be😮😮😮, Or atleast hold them off long enough.
