I bought the Nazgul Eco XL5 Analog for EUR 150,- (in China) with Fatshark HDO+ RF and I am totally happy with this choice. Picture quality and range are good and the GoPro does the recording. I found the perfect solution and if something breaks, it' easy to repair or I just buy a new one. 🙂
I'm going to try this out again but with a different analog set up (my HDZ goggles) as in the dji goggles with the adapter it was pretty unflyable but there's no way it should be that bad out of the box so I'm willing to see how it goes.
The Nazgûl Eco factory rates are slow, and it has expo on the throttle, it makes it feel ‘tame’. I put the rates up to 900 and took off throttle expo, it flies way better 👌👍
I actually changed it over to my rates (which are still slower than my brother uses 750 vs 900). But you know what you’re right I didn’t check throttle expo! I’ll adjust and see how it feels, I mean it’s a higher kv motor but a little heavier so it should be fairly equal
“Because of the image quality, i dont feel so confident” Yup, analog in a nutshell. Sooner you convert that nazgul to digital, the better off youll be. I bought a walksnail avatar hd kit for $150, put it in the nazgul, and never looked back.
to be fair that analogue set up was janky... I've seen and flown with better analog image quality. But I'm already a little skeptical of the quad outside of the just the VTX but after I see what I can do with the analog signal I'll whack an O3 in there and see how it really performs
@@GarethDix not anymore... lol I want to review more so going to design one to put all the electronics on from review units. Still 3.5 is king! lol in your vid the blurry lens to the O3 OMG I can see! it's nice to see....
@@TorontoFPV Funny seeing you here, I've spent the last 2 hours trying to beat your time on Velocidrone in the weekly challenge, in the micro class. Im 2 seconds slower. Im not able to fly full throttle for some reason, when I fly full throttle my quad just gains altitude rather than speed. Ill keep trying, hopefully I figure it out.
@@joshawawow you need more angle go into my beginners playlist and maybe try my tune it's in there with my rates along with a 30-45 degree angle probably also I fine the crazybee flies better for me than the new air guys do...
My god you FPV youtubers trying to do comparison videos and not putting the new pilots rates in. Hell you can have it on a switch and/or change it with android/apple betaflight app or even quicker the LUA script. I'm gonna pester you all about it now. How can any pilot give honest impressions without at least having THEIR RATES.
Consider me pestered… and call me out on it again in the future! 🤣 Tbf I was supposed to do the Nazgûl video by myself and then I figured he could have a go whilst we were there 🤣
Funny, I feel so much more confident with analog. Especially going from HDzero to Walksnail. Takes a few minutes to adjust as you actually noticed the latency right off. Lens does look out of focus. I prefer the 3.5 and it's time I order the Great Discus frame as I finally broke the Crux35 frame. Great video keep them up.
I’m way more confident with my little quads on analog/HDZ than DJI normally. I’m pretty certain it’s just a visibility issue as through the goggles the video looked much worse than the recording. But I’ll test this properly to see if I can get it as good as it can be. You’ll love the discus though it feels just like the crux35 but much harder to break!
I was hoping to have him use analog first to see if he noticed the latency when going back to DJI (although in hindsight I think it would have been more noticeable if I used the HDZ goggles on analog) but I agree everytime I switch between HDZ and DJI I have to reset how I fly
@@GarethDix ye the goggles v2 are pretty bad for analog ^^ did you record the footage on those? cause the dvr looks pretty good actually oh ye the discus is really good upgrade for the crux 35 its the quad i have the most flight time on by now ^^
I noticed so bad when flying under trees close to the ground and close to the low branches. The instant i was to high or low even though is milliseconds it was already touching one or the other. With the HDZero I was able to correct on the fly. I use the analog with the HDZero goggles and you are correct it's great. Not all cameras though. There's still some bad ones out there. Crazy how it's noticed going from low to high but not the other way around.
Do you want me to do a proper review of the Nazgul Eco XL5 when I've spent more time with it? or nah?
Hell yeah!
The DJI 03 version is 10 times better
I’m still testing this out and I’ll stick an O3 in there at some point as well to see how it performs
