The more I learn about Sith history, the more I realize it's essentially a thought plague. If even one person who follows the ideology survives, even as a specter, or even simply their teachings survive in texts and legends, that can spark a new outbreak of Sith.
Yeah, and it doesn't help the Jedi _keep giving people (especially their own members) reasons to hate them._
Just take Freedon Nadd for an example. Guy was basically a topical Jedi, even better than Exar Kun because he's described as being a nice joyful person, and they played fucking mind games with him and managed to drive him to murder and the Dark Side!

Your argument has one single problem: Nearly EVERY SINGLE DEFECTOR OF THE JEDI ORDER usually had a VERY GOOD REASON for doing so.
-Xandor, Arden Lyn and the Legions of Lettow started fighting the Jeedai Order when the Light Side faction decided they got to monopolize the whole thing and tell people what to do.
-Ajunta Pall and his friends wanted to study Force Alchemy so they could grant everyone immortality. The Jedi decided they got to speak for the Force and decide what counts as natural. Basically, the Jedi Order are every anti-stern cell research ever.
-Two Words: *SITH. HOLOCAUST.*
-Freedon Nadd literally got tricked out of a rightful promotion and recognition because the Jedi decided to do a secret test of character on a perfectly competent and likeable fellow.
-Ulic Qel-Droma wouldn't ever have turned in the first place if the Jedi hadn't fucked up with Freedon Nadd centuries ago!
-Do I really need to go over Revan, Malak and Meetra Surik?
-I'll just reference every single video of Papito Quinn and let Kreia lecture you on why the Jedi Order has always sucked and continued to suck. Short version: Every single thing bad that ever happened because of the Jedi Order is just never THEIR fault, as far as the Jedi are concerned.
-The amount of bullshit Revan and Bastila, never mind their descendants, had to deal with after they singlehandedly saved the Jedi's arses.
-I could go on forever about all of the Jedi's fuck-ups from the Great Galactic Wars. Hard to tell who fucked the galaxy up more, the Jedi or Vitiate... Oh yeah: VITIATE WOULDN'T EVEN EXIST IF NOT FOR THE JEDI SCHISMS.
-Geetsly himself lectured me on how the Jedi Order literally caused the Brotherhood of Darkness. Being that dumb and incompetent should be instantly lethal.
-Do I really need to bring up all of Count Dooku's reasons? Or should I just namedrop Galidraan and call it a night?
-Look up Cienu Isengardu and his in-depth analysis of how Obi-Wan and the Jedi Order _psychologically fucked Anakin Skywalker up and did all of Darth Sidious' work for them._
Need I go on? The Jedi's defectors are people whom they failed or fucked up, but don't ever want to admit it because that would mean questioning stuff and admitting they aren't fucking perfect or infallible.

The Jedi were better than the Sith because Sithness really is a self-destructive thought plague, but the Jedi really didn't have to make it so easy for people to fall.

I am an avarage Sith Empire enjoyer and your videos about the Sith history make my evening as I swish the wine glass in my hand musing about conquering the galaxy.
Is it possible that if left alone long enough, the Sith Empire based on Onderon could become a major power that rivaled the Galactic Republic?
Unlikely, they were left alone for generations with the Jedi and Republic ignorant that the planet was still ruled by a Sith-worshipping, Dark Side caste, and they were losing to a group of primitives living out in the wilderness so bad that they had to swallow their pride, go out of their way, and ask the Jedi for help.
Not in respect of Onderon, however if the Kraft cult had seized control of the empress teta system of seven planets and all its industrial might and military, that would have been a far more serious problem for the republic and jedi to face down and defeat.
not a chance in my opinion nowhere near enough manpower to even conquer they're home sector let alone the next populated system.

Chancellor pultimo ordering the sith genocide only made things worse and pushed many of the sith people into the arms of darth vitiate.
@tidbitz I'm guessing pultimo didn't have negotiations for a sith surrender on the table or never even crossed his mind.
I'm gonna reference this part from Darth Vader: Hero of Naboo, Chapter 9, which explains just how bad the Jedi and Pultimo fucked up:

_If Obi-Wan could see through the lenses, he would see Vader blinking slowly, making sure he heard that right. "You want to know why the Sith in general hate Jedi?" Vader counter questioned._

Anger turns to hatred as they discover no way to truly cope with the loss and pain, leading them on the quest for vengeance," he continued._
_"And hatred leads to suffering," Obi-Wan finished, only to get another head shake._

_"Ye-Oh...Ohhhhhh. It's a lot worse than just being a part of the Force corrupted and malformed by hatred and greed, isn't it?" Obi-Wan realized with a wince._
_"The Dark Side has existed for eons, long before either of our Orders were founded, but the Sith hatred for the Jedi is uniquely strong. Why? He didn't order a Sith genocide, though. The Sith leadership did, ordering the Massassi to fight to the death and the rest to commit mass suicide.

If our world might have become a better one had the likes of Hitler been either aborted, drowned to death while a child, or killed on the WW1 trenches, then the Star Wars Legends universe would have become better had the Daragons not been saved by Jedi Knights Odan-Urr and Memit Nadill.
You can't properly say that it isn't a genocide that the carried out. As you have multiple videos where uyou have stated it was exactly that. And genocide isn't defined by success, not strictly speaking. The Jedi and Republic participated in genocide, and willingly did so.

Just look at his description of Freedon Nadd. He's purposefully hiding the fact that Freedon Nadd was basically a nice guy with top marks and the Jedi decided to play one of those stupid secret tests of character on for no goddamn reason. His own Master goaded him into a duel and let herself be killed, which drove him over the edge.
