    hi Peter did you remember to put the spring on the timed butterfly breather as i did'nt see it? but what a lovely clean work shop i can see you take pride in your work not many of you left, kind regards Adrian.

      Yes! Spring is there. This bike had been badly built previously and one "ear" on the timed breather was broken. So the cam went together with new bits and very carefully!

    Shouldn't a gasket or sealant be used between the casings before assembly?

      Absolutely. Blink and you miss it. 12.43 ish. I use Hylomar Gold here. You can just see the colour on the jointing faces and the box the tube came in.
