What use have a dress without pocket!?!? How to insert pockets easily...

Hello friends! In today's video, I wanted to show you how I add pockets into a dress! I added pockets into a previous dress for this customer and she loved it so she brought me two more dresses to do the same to, and this was one of them! I also did a hem on a dress for this job and I was able to incorporate the leftover fabric into the pocket for an undetectable finish!

I think all garments should have usable pockets! I have had to enlarge pockets for my mom and daughter because they were so shallow nothing could fit. This video helps a lot so that I feel more comfortable buying something without pockets and being able to add pockets! Thank you

This was super helpful! Thank you! I might be the only woman who doesn't care about pockets. I think they are great if a summer dress has them, but they don't bother me at all if they don't have them. But, I know this video will be very useful to me for others. I have a friend who had her tailor stitch shut all her pants pockets because she didn't want any width added to her hip area when walking. Do you find others ask you for this job too? It's fascinating to me what women find bothersome and others don't.

Buying a dress without pockets it nuts! I don’t know why they even manufacture them without pockets, other than cost saving. Years ago they put it out that pockets spoilt the ‘lines of the dress’. How you spoil lines with a gathered skirt, i’ve never been able to work out!
Adding pockets is hit and miss for me. I like them to match, or at least a bit of facing like you did. I can’t always find fabric that suits.
