Career Break at 40 to Travel. (why it couldn't wait)

Call it what you want -- a midlife career break, adult gap year, or sabbatical leave -- but quitting a job mid-career to travel or for any other reason is not a decision you take lightly. I never thought I would get to this point, but it's amazing how life has a way of shifting your priorities and changing your perspective over the years. In this video I recount some of the factors that led me to this decision and why dreams sometimes conquer practicality.

Thank you so much for making this video! I'm 35 and also experiencing horrible anxiety and feeling stuck living a poorly balanced life. I would also like to take a work break but have financial fears of if my savings is enough to cover a break and however long it takes me to find my next job. Can you share how you prepared for your break financially?
