Spelunky 2 - Pacifist Abzu% in

Pacifist Abzu% is a pacifist run (no kills) where you must beat Sunken City after going to Abzu while also obtaining the Hedjet/Crown, Ankh, Excalibur, Tablet of Destiny, and Qilin.
I've been wanting to do this run for a while now, but I'm not too great with the telepack, and often you end up telefragging random enemies (which is not pacifist). The ideal run has paste bombs for a quick pacifist Kingu kill and the Ankh for a quick pacifist Hundun kill. I was able to get paste bombs in this run but sadly I lost the Ankh early in Abzu so I had to opt for a slower (and much scarier) pacifist Hundun strategy. This run could've possibly been sub-8 if I had been able to keep the Ankh and use it on Hundun (and maybe if I played some other parts of the run a little faster).
Continue reading if you want more information on pacifist and pacifist strategies: On a basic level, pacifist is a "no kills" run. Kills are tracked by the game. I have a pink pacifist tracker in the bottom right that reads the game's memory to see if I'm still a pacifist. The journal will also tell you if you are a pacifist at the end of each run. The pacifist Kingu strategy used in this run manipulates what is known as "ownership." In a pacifist strategy context, it is usually meant as the concept that enemies and players can end up being responsible for each other's kills. In this strategy, the player takes damage to a Jiangshi, giving the Jiangshi ownership of the player's body. When the player commits a kill on Kingu, the kill will not be attributed to the player if the player is stunned and in the air, because the Jiagnshi has ownership over the player's body. This is why the player takes purposeful fall damage right before having the bomb explode Kingu. Unfortunately, this fall damage can also end up leaving the player vulnerable (as you see in the video when the player dies). The ideal pacifist Hundun strat uses the Ankh to kill Hundun. Essentially, dying in the same frame as killing Hundun tricks the game into not giving you a kill because you are not alive in that frame. Sadly, the Ankh was lost before Hundun, so an alternative strategy was applied that used poison damage from a poison arrow to finish off Hundun.

Wicked fast Kingu and Hundun strats! Shame about the Ankh, would've been cool to see the Hundun strat with it
