@@MWH12085 What? They are the remnants of the lost Fire Hawk chapter, filled with warp energies and sometimes possessed by heroic marines who died in the Horus Heresy. A horde of burning marines is not as cool as possessed teleporting ghostly marines who scream heresy era battlecries and whose boltgun magazines last unrealisticly long.
@@scuffedwizard I think the idea of them originating as one of The Lost Legions (With their Primarch still leading them) then bolstering their ranks with loyal marines from the traitor Legions and any marine with the will to continue to serve on after death. I think The Legion of The Damned deserves something more than a chapter getting infected with Warp AIDS.
@@MWH12085 I don't think having both limitless numbers and stronger than other marines is a good idea. I like them for what they are now, very strong and burning Ultramarine successors who have become loyalist daemonhosts for ghosts of heroes.
How do you know there is only 200 of them ? Maybe they never had to come out with more than 200 of them to deal with a situation ... remember manifesting daemons is no easy task ... even for the Emperor.
I think the Sanguinor is the living manifestation of the Blood Angel's belief and loyalty to him along with the echoes of Sanguinius' raw emotion that resides within every marine, added with some power thrown in by the Emperor's mental might. A primarch's vengeance made manifest
Corvus Corax's loyalist apotheosis kends credence to the idea of Daemons being i valve i. The Primarch project. Perhaps their inherent flaws and by extension, the geneseed flaws are actually a manifestation of the respective true natures of the Warp entities used to create the Primarchs.

They would have a massive hemorrhage trying to comprehend what they just heard then likely commit murder--suicide for entertaining the thought of good daemons.
Well, once again, the Greek word "daemon" literally just meant "spirit" or "soul", a divine entity. Doom Slayer slays vaguely-Christian-Hell-via-way-of-Lovecraft type of demons.
I personally like the theory that the primarchs are essentially Daemonhosts that the emperor crammed imperial brand warp entities made from parts of his soul into.
if the idea of Imperial Daemon Princes becomes a thing as they're described here? These could serve as an excellent method of bringing back Loyalist Primarchs that died during and after the Horus Heresy back into the setting if they wanted to. Maybe not for Sanguinius given the nature of his soul. But this would be a brilliant method to allow Ferrus Manus or even Rogal Dorn - if it's confirmed that he actually died during the 1st Black Crusade - to come back in forms that would give them the power to fight their Traitor Demon Primarch rivals like Fulgrim and Perturabo on an equal footing. I can imagine it now. The Demon Prince Fulgrim is back on Terra once again, but this time he's playing for keeps instead of shits and giggles. The Emperor's Children and other War Bands that followed him here are running riot across the outskirts of the Imperial Palace once again like they were during the final days of the Horus Heresy 10,000 years prior. And when all seemed lost to the defenders the Legion of the Damned appear. But this time they're something different. These enigmas have become so much more powerful then they were once before the Great Rift tore the Galaxy in two, all of them following the lead of the form of a once thought long dead brother. His form towering over the daemonic marines, his body forever transformed into an avatar with a burning silver aura radiating from his body, cladded in ugly black and silver-trimmed power armor with flesh metal arms wielding a massive hammer, and his head replaced with looked like an amalgamation of a Space Marine helmet and a silver human skull with burning silver eyes which glowed with all its fury and hated towards the traitor. A fury which if Fulgrim still held any blood in his veins would've made him freeze in fear. Ferrus Manus, once known as the Primarch of the Iron Hands, now the Daemon Prince of The Emperor of Mankind, has returned.
It makes a lot of sense if the Primarchs are essentially reality-bound warp entities. It would explain a lot about the things they are capable of and why they act in certain ways. It would also explain why they are so easily mutated, Vulkan evolved to look like a native of Nocturne within a few weeks of landing there, Sanguinius grew wings, Magnus turned red, Leman became a furry, and Corax has literally become a Daemon of Shadows able to shapeshift and travel through darkness. All of the Primarchs are able to influence the warp too, even Dorn canonically is so uptight he smothers warp powers around himself.
Still putting money on it, the Legion of the Damned is one of the lost legions. The Emperor knows his shit, which is why each of the Primarch's embodied a certain quality or aspect. What if one of the Legions was designed to become exactly this, killed off en mass and then slowly gestated in the warp by the Emperor. Other wee things to back this up, the fact they're referred to as the Legion of the Damned and that they appeared in at least one form during the Battle of the Webway, well before the Emperor woulda had the juice to create them. (Only thing against this was Ferrus being summoned in with them in the Webway)
Here's a fun thought. No chaos daemon can change sides. What about a tzeentch daemon that genuinely did convert, but his squid daddy decided "I can use this let's see where it goes" and let's it in some weird step in one of his insane plans.
*Imagine looking over at your village filled with chaos worshippers, and seeing a legion of burning space marines with skulls for helmets marching at you in “eerie silence”*
You missed on talking about Imperious, the Spirit of the Astronomicon, who might have been formed from Malcador's soul from when he was sitting on the Golden Throne. But he literally does one thing in the entire story so far, and that's ask Abaddon very nicely to not form the Black Legion. I hope he shows up again one day and actually does something useful or interesting.
One day, the GOD EMPEROR OF MANKIND wanted to create a powerfull being to beat the kicks of the galaxy while still being on a expensive chair, so he asked himself... who is more powerfull? A Primarch or an Imperium Deamon? But because he's the EMPEROR and not Timmy, he decide to use them both, thus, transforming Corvus Corax into a ultra edgy Deamon.
@@christiandauz3742 Considering that he have the ability to see in the future and being a primarch on his own, being given the Emperor Cool-Aid could mean thay Warp-Corax could beat a Demon Prince. Ahriman then slaughters them
@@christiandauz3742 The Emperor precognition is below Tzeentch or Slaneesh precognition (Tzeentch is literally directing pretty much everything that happen, Slaneesh have the ability to know everything that people say, so she/he know what will happen on a certain degree), but surerly more than Khorne or Nurgle (Khorne dont care about thinking, Nurgle simply dont care about what happen except if we are talking about a desease). @@TestaOnFire Ahriman defeated the three leaders of the Ynnari by teleporting them in to Tzeentch's realm BEFORE THEY CAN REACT! Mortarion can see past, present and future meaning that Nurgle and the other Chaos Gods have that feat for them and their Daemon Primarchs. I think Khan is killed by Mortarion on Terra Magnus would easily beat Warp-Corax as he only needs one hit from Lightning to win Doombreed would most certainly curbstomp Guilliman and Warp-Corax
I would include all the machine spirits in this. Since they are warp daemons ... you pray to them ... to get something from them ... in return they get stronger because belief and ritual is what feeds the daemons of the warp.
I personally like the Legion of the Damned/Fire Hawk’s theory where they turned into warp ghost fuckers but SINCE they are warp ghost fuckers they’re much more directly in tune with the immaterium and the emperors power. He keeps them from (literally) burning out and in turn since they’re half dead they get to manifest wherever he thinks they’re needed (except that craftworld wtf was that)
ngl ik the gold bitches would be pretty motivating but seeing a ghost rider looking space marine with a flaming assault cannon backing me up would also be pretty inspiring mate

His armor seemed like a scorched mockery of the Iron Hands armor, replete with the signature Necrodermis arms glowing a bright yellow with intense heat; a tarnished Aquila-encrusted warhammer in hand. Where the head should be was a jet of pure flame with what looked like the shattered faceplate of the marine shaped and warped in the visage of a skull._

200? That's not even a full chapter. That s kinda lame....almost as lame as simply saying they're The Fire Hawks.
There’s also the potentially Emperor made Warp Entity that embodies the Astronomicon, called the Imperious.
I think the Sanguinor is the living manifestation of the Blood Angel's belief and loyalty to him along with the echoes of Sanguinius' raw emotion that resides within every marine, added with some power thrown in by the Emperor's mental might. A primarch's vengeance made manifest
"Horny...., and I mean multiple ways here" you have a great sense of humor.
That's why we listen to this fuck head XD.
That is an interesting idea actually and could explain a few things

They should be called Angyls
Hope they make the Legion of the Damned being first formed by the loyalist marines who were betrayed on Istvaan 3 and 5, and were then joined by any Marine who died for the Emperor's beliefs, even if they were a traitor(Vistario).

,,Not all daemons are evil" , Doom Slayer would say otherwise.
That man would fucking eat a demon just to embarrass it by shiting it out
Well, once again, the Greek word "daemon" literally just meant "spirit" or "soul", a divine entity. Doom Slayer slays vaguely-Christian-Hell-via-way-of-Lovecraft type of demons.
I personally like the theory that the primarchs are essentially Daemonhosts that the emperor crammed imperial brand warp entities made from parts of his soul into.
Daemon (Dämon) is the german way to write Demon.
It's actually a bastardisation of the greek ''Δαιμον'' were ''αι'' is pronounced like an ''ae''.
Matt Dämon....
if the idea of Imperial Daemon Princes becomes a thing as they're described here?

Gotta love how major makes a lore video that’s normally rather boring into something very entertaining.
The legion of the damned and the saints are some of my favorite! The sanquinor as well!
The last time i was this early,

Honestly, your 'primarchs are warp-gods' theory does make a lot of sense. Until GW fucks it up, I will take it as my head canon
Warp-Corax would still lose to Angron or Fulgrim
Kharn defeated Azrael, Sigismund and Celestine
@@christiandauz3742 Considering that he have the ability to see in the future and being a primarch on his own, being given the Emperor Cool-Aid could mean thay Warp-Corax could beat a Demon Prince.

The Emperor's precognition is far below the Chaos Gods. Corax would be predictable by Magnus standards
Kharn would slaughter the Blood Angels, Imperial Fists, Legion of the Damned, Ultramarines, Dark Angels and Black Templars in just 8 hours
Ahriman can teleport Calgar, Logan, Dante, Mephistoron, Tiggarius and He'stan right into the Realm of Tzeentch before they even move. Ahriman then slaughters them
@@christiandauz3742
The Emperor precognition is below Tzeentch or Slaneesh precognition (Tzeentch is literally directing pretty much everything that happen, Slaneesh have the ability to know everything that people say, so she/he know what will happen on a certain degree), but surerly more than Khorne or Nurgle (Khorne dont care about thinking, Nurgle simply dont care about what happen except if we are talking about a desease).
Khan can pretty much wipe the floor with 99% of 40k in a "fair" fight, just because is a mindless beast powered by literally the god of close combat. So no, Warp-Corvus cant really beat him in a fist fight but he can at least sabotage... but yeah Khan>Warp-Corax
Ahriam is just a bitch in a fists fight but is powerfull as sorcerer... but i think Warp-Corax can beat him, considering that he got spanked by Yvraine and she's a Eldar powered by a God... just like Warp-Corax is, except he's a Primarch and he's powered up by probably the Emperor and/or by the Warp itself.

Ahriman defeated the three leaders of the Ynnari by teleporting them in to Tzeentch's realm BEFORE THEY CAN REACT!
Mortarion can see past, present and future meaning that Nurgle and the other Chaos Gods have that feat for them and their Daemon Primarchs.

Magnus would easily beat Warp-Corax as he only needs one hit from Lightning to win
Doombreed would most certainly curbstomp Guilliman and Warp-Corax

I personally like the Legion of the Damned/Fire Hawk’s theory where they turned into warp ghost fuckers but SINCE they are warp ghost fuckers they’re much more directly in tune with the immaterium and the emperors power. He keeps them from (literally) burning out and in turn since they’re half dead they get to manifest wherever he thinks they’re needed (except that craftworld wtf was that)

I can hear a description of the headless Ferrus ghost now.
_Leading the infernal procession of Daemonic undead marines into the battle stood a twelve-foot figure both familiar and alien in visage.
Oh damn, 1:48 could this be an explanation for one of the 2 missing primarchs. Perhaps Big E was attempting to make a demon primarch hybrid.
I'm firmly convinced that the Big E has become so powerful he could ascend to becoming a chaos God, but his devoted atheism keeps him mortal-ish.
