Who takes photos with their tablet? Don’t you have a phone or a camera for that? Front facing camera for Skype or something I get. Regular photos? Nah it’s just dumb. I’ll take photos of documents or something for reference when I’m drawing, but I don’t need quality for that.

I'm stupid but, there will be a difference. It’s just depends how clean you need the documents. There are scanning apps that adjust images to make them more legible, I think 8 mega pixels is enough. And how many documents do you need to scan? I think I scanned 3-4 documents in the past 3 years, and I used my phone... I have used the iPad camera before. I design toys and when I’m at the factory looking at samples (which is not often, mostly they send me photos) I’ll take a photo with it and do a draw over ;) instanced for a tablet camera are rare or niche.
I had to pick this up for school since iOS 13 is almost here making the iPad more of a computer.😁

I am still using a first gen iPad Air. It still works fine (with the latest iOS) , but start to come to its limits. I very like the new iPad Pros - but they are expensive. The new iPad Air looks now very interesting to me. I only would like to have 4 speakers...
I Just got an iPad Air 3 and I’m loving it. I just gave away my old iPad mimi 4 it had richer color I like the way it looks better than the air 3... However!..... Everything else on the air 3 is better its amazing for audio production, colors are more natural (just not as rich) faster etc. I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

2017 iPad pro refurbished from Apple.com so you can have promotion 4 speakers and stuff. Go in store (if you haven't already) and check them out, but trust me, the 11 inch is very tempting, it looks so good so try to make a reasonable decision lol
Hello Cony Because one is PRO and other is AIR, one has a A10X chip (powerful as A12, made for iPads) one has A12 Bionic (made for iPhones, won’t give the same performance on iPad).
I want to like this iPad but after owning a 12” iPad Pro previous gen this thing feels so small and kid like. I have no choice but to buy the new iPad Pro 12”.
What do you want to know? The chips are pretty similar, the a12 having a slightly better cpu and the a10x has a Much better gpu (for graphics like games or editing 4k video if you like that stuff). But the a12 does have a neural engine or npu which makes any ai learning stuff much faster but no reviewer seems to care about that. However aside from the chips, the pro has true motion, 4 gb ram (although the air now has 3 instead of 2 so it CAN run 3 apps at once unlike the previous iPad 2018) 4 speakers, which does sound good. The 120hz difference barely matters if you haven't seen it unless you are using the apple pencil alot, then you notice it more. The iPad pro 2017 also has a 600 bit brightness compared to the air's 500. The iPad pro however has a risk of getting a bright spot, although I've seen on reddit that you can fix it using a suction cup. We don't know that the air won't have any bright spots yet though, as they usually after a few months.
So can you surf the web while listening to a video/music on youtube like you can with on a PC? Thats one thing I didnt like about the old ios. wanting to listen to a youtube video's audio while reading another webpage. Im thinking of getting this as my 4th gen is hitting the wall as far as not being upgradable to use newer apps like being able to watch Amazon prime videos.
Besides the processor, everything is better on the Pro. Depending on where and how you buy it, the pro could be as much as $150 dollars more. If you see them at the same price, the pro is a slightly better buy.
Ilya Chap I considered it, even for the same price I could get the Pro + keyboard + Apple Pencil. but it was a difficult decision, the ipad Pro doesnt stop being a device of 2017 with several advantages but I saw that it has factory errors on the screen that I dont want to deal with the time .. 1st I dont use the camera on the iPad because I use my iPhone Xs Max, 2nd I do not use the apple pencil either because I dont draw or take notes, 3rd the 4 speakers dont need because I only use it at home and if I take it out of the house I carry my Beats Pill Plus. I'm interested in Chip A12. 🤔

The NY Times WireCutter said the Logitech Slim Folio keyboard/cover is the best iPad Air 3 keyboard. I have to agree. It’s tactile, not mushy. Got great key spacing and a handy row of shortcuts across the top. I will stick with the Apple Pencil. I opted for the new Logitech Pebble i345 mouse, and so far, an excellent mouse for ~$30. I’m sure the Apple Magic Mouse is good, too, but I liked saving $50 to put towards the $69 AppleCare+. The iPad Air 3 with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse; I’m rockin’, baby! Love this tablet!! I hope some of my favorite Mac OS X apps get ported to iPadOS when Apple moves from Intel to Apple Silicon. Wouldn’t that be awesome?!! I got the iPad Air 3 w/256 Gb, just in case. 😉
Anything with Apple pencil it makes a noticable difference. Games don't run in 120hz on iPad, but on the web browser or home screen or anything with scrolling it takes effect. Other than that I don't really know

Apple smart connector keyboard. I was going to buy one because all reviewers said it was the best. Then I looked at users comments on the Apple store. The VAST number said the keyboard fails around one year! For the most expensive keyboard available this is outrageous. I've bought a Logitech slim folio keyboard (which uses the smart connector) and I'm very happy and have change left in my pocket. DON'T TOUCH APPLE'S KEYBOARD!

The iPad air gets updates till 2024 but the pro only has until 2022, but other than that the iPad pro is fine. 120hz, 4 speakers, 4gb ram for futureproofing, a slightly weaker cpu but a much stronger gpu. The only thing I would worry about is Apple slowing it down on purpose

The camera is only 8 megapixels, the same as the iPhone 5s.
The iPad Pro 10.5 had a 12 megapixel camera which was much better.

For me, any model would be an upgrade from my mini 2. Deciding between this and the 11” Pro.
This is much cheaper and has a normal display size. The 11 in is a weird aspect ratio which makes me want to stay as far away from it as possible.

I pad 10.5 2018 has refresh rate of 120hz whereas I pad Air has 60hz. How it will it make a difference n on which applications??
