I truly appreciate each and every one of you. It wasn't easy to share, but I felt the need in case someone else was dealing with the samething. So they know they're not alone. 🤍 Jess x
A British man in London here, I’d just like to commend you for your bravery and for sharing something so humiliating and horrific, you didn’t need to but you did and that was VERY hard and will undoubtably help others and for that I absolutely adore you and respect you and am so proud of you, Unacceptable behaviour must always be called out. You will be fine and when you finally do go home I for one will be really sad to see you go. Bravo on a spectacular channel 🎉 ❤❤❤xx
Thank you so much. It was something I felt compelled to share. I spoke with Chris about it, and it was something that I just felt needed to be shared for all the others who are going through it now or have been dealing with this. And I know it's not just women that deal with this it is men as well. It was not something that was planned, but something moved me to share my experience. It was definitely uncomfortable and embarrassing, but I knew that I had to add it to this video. I want to be as true and as raw with you all as possible. I'm a human, and I love sharing the good and bad. 🤍 Jess x
That caught me out, Jess! My bedtime flick through, before lights out! You got me (74yr old male) 'blubbing' in minutes. Carry on being the beautiful person you are. Love Pete xx
Sorry to hear you've suffered abuse at the hands of a man in the past and the damage it has had on your well-being. You are brave to open-up to it. Be assured you have many followers on this channel who have your back and wish you well - ((((((((HUG)))))))) x
Thank you for your sweet support. It was very unfortunate, and I really needed to share for others who may be dealing with something similar. Want everyone they're not alone and are lived by me. I truly appreciate you all pouring your love into our family! 🤍 Jess x
I could see from the start of the video, Jess, that you were really churned up about something. I confess I was relieved to learn that it was something now in the past, if you are able now to see it that way, rather than something that impacts your future. If, hopefully, you are able now to not allow it to. Whatever it was was clearly beyond unacceptable, and I just hope Chris or the authorities (or both) took the appropriate steps. I suspect it maybe provides more context to what you shared in your previous video? Please don't worry at all. You have built a community of friends and supporters here, who think the world of you, because of your so genuine, honest and supportive impressions of our country. And because you are clearly such a lovely family, as your wonderful children are a testament to. But also, because - and please take this in the best possible way, as it is intended - you are concentrating not on the idealised, but on the ordinary. The normal. The real. I hope I speak for others when I say that is why we love your videos, and you, so much. Stay strong, and keep on sharing!
I definitely love the UK and will not let anything stop me from falling more in love with this country. I really wanted to share things that I love and also wanted to be raw and share something that happened to me. That was extremely unfortunate. I appreciate you all supporting and loving us. It truly means the world to us. The incident was documented, and Chris did discuss it with the individual. Unfortunately, I still have not been able to approach the person. Maybe one day, just not at this time. I definitely appreciate your kindness and understanding. A BIG THANK YOU, FRIEND from ME (Jess). I love to share and be true to you all! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn That's lovely!❤❤❤❤ I hope that Chris's "discussion" was pretty "robust"? He strikes me as someone who "speaks softly but carries a big stick" and who you would most definitely want to be at your side in the trenches. As well as driving you safely and considerately and just so well on our narrow roads! Many Brits do not necessarily have the highest of opinions of Americans - so often based on the actions of the few, and on what we see on the news. Thank you for showing us what has been my own experience of (really so enjoyable!) visits to the US. Most of us, either side of the Pond, are the same - caring, decent, honest, normal people. And your lovely family is the epitome of that. Do hope you make it up to West Yorkshire one day before your next posting. Thanks for replying, Jess xx
Yes, I am very thankful for Chris taking care of it. He definitely is a very laid-back person but doesn't tolerate nonsense. Regarding the opinions of Americans. I understand that opinions are formed based on some Americans who are rude and hateful. I know most Americans are definitely not like that, but understand that some bad apples can ruin the bunch. Chris and I just have to keep working to spread kindness and love to everyone even if they don't have the best opinion of us. Friends, we are definitely going to check out West Yorkshire, hopefully soon! We love and appreciate having this opportunity to call England home it's such a blessing! Thank you for your comment and support! 🤍 Jess & family x
Where is that knight in shining armour when you want one! Sir Chris steps forward and had a very robust "chat." I am so terribly sorry that this happened. There are some very unpleasant people around. We all send our love and support to you and Chris
My ❤ Goes out to you Jess. I hope this individual has been educated appropriately, this sort of behaviour has no place in any respectable society. I know you've mentioned it, but please don't let this one vile individual tarnish your view of us Brits🇬🇧you get good & bad folk everywhere unfortunately😔 you & your family make me smile soo much with your comments & opinions of our great nation🙂🙃😉keep visiting lot's of places for us all Jess, you never know I might actually visit them myself one day soon👍cheers
I hope the person has been charged with whatever happened and will never be a danger to you or anyone else. This was a shock hearing this from you and a departure from your usual content. It wasn’t unfortunate it was illegal as I’m sure do did not ask or seek that type of attention. My thoughts are with you and yours. Rab❤
Thank you for the support. It was a departure from the usual content in the fact that I wanted to show the good and the bad. As much as I love this country, there are still things that need to be addressed in every country. 🤍 Jess X
Dearest Jess. I think that many have had unwelcome attention in their lives. I was told, 'dont complain if you want to keep your job and professional advancement.' One develops coping measures and avoidance techniques but it's still shocking when it first happens. My nemesis was finally sent to prison. 50 years on, I'm good.
Thank you, I'm sure many have, and that is why I felt so compelled to speak about it. To let other know they're not alone. I just want to uplift others and spread love and kindness. I'm so glad yours has gone to prison! Thank you for your support and love! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Thank you for sharing. I was touched inappropriately as a teenage boy and it has scarred me for over 50 years adversely affecting how I interact with people and in relationships. Would my life have been better if I had been able to share this at the time I hope so. Fortunately I have a wonderful wife.
I am terribly sorry that happened to you. I am so thankful that you have a very supportive wife and that you are able to share now. Thank you so much for your love and support. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
You are a wonderful young lady I hope you can move on from whatever happened to you. I know it's hard but you are also a strong person and don't apologise for crying it's what makes you you 🎉🎉
Oh, thank you for your kindness. It was very difficult to share, but I wanted other to know they're not alone. I hope to let others know there is strength in talking about it even when it's hard. Thank you for your support. 🤍 Jess x
Hey Jess, you're very brave for sharing that experience, as others have said, don't let this man have power over you, you're worth a 1000 of him, and in Chris you have a fantastic husband/best friend, don't let this person take up ANY of your head space, he sounds like a real piece of sh*t and he'll get his just deserts. Remember, if you pay attention to negative people or negative comments then that can manifest itself in your life, don't give them that headspace or time in your life, you're a wonderful couple, with a amazing family and don't let this incident stain your memory or experience of the UK. Have a great weekend Jess. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thank you so very much. I had the bixby calling to share. I think sharing helped me get to a place where I felt more comfortable with myself. Chris is such a wonderful human and helped me process it and sat with me when I recorded the video. Thank you so much for your love and support. It really means the world to us. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
My wife passed away approaching 6 years ago. Her given names were "Sugar" and later "Babe". Your family tours have cheered me up on many a sad day. You have stirred up happy memories of our own days out in the East of England. Thank you so much! So sorry about your awful experience. I hope it will fade out of your memory quickly. Lots of people are sending you lots of love, to help this happen. x
Sir, we are so thankful to have you here and be able to cheer you up and bring back loving memories for you, friend! I felt the need to share for others. That may be going through the same thing. I really appreciate all of your love and support. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Your comment about female lorry drivers, my first job in 79 was at a lorry parts dealership and the oldest driver was a female past retirement age called Ann, she was absolutely lovely, a small person (statue wise) but with a huge heart, lovely and kind with everyone, a couple of people at first were unsure if she would be able to lift the loads carried, she showed everyone that she was as capable as any male driver working there, a beautiful lady to the core, it taught me a great lesson at a young age, I have 4 older sisters so I had a head start, but Ann was a special person to all who knew her, thank you for reminding me of that time and of Ann, I'm happy that you are finding the UK welcoming :)
That is an amazing story of some of the original trail blazers with females in the work force. It sounds like Ann was a lovely lady and I am glad I could bring up such a fond memory for you. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Hi Jess, my heart dropped when you mentioned what you had experienced from this person. 😞. I have been thinking about your experience all day in the hope I would be able to find the right words to comfort you. I know you are so strong and it brought tears to my eyes too. Thank you for sharing everything with us and please never ever forget we all love you and your special family ❤. Big hugs my friends. Have a great week ahead .xx ❤🇬🇧🇺🇲
Oh, I was definitely compelled to share this uncomfortable experience. I don't know why, but I really was. I know it made a lot of people uncomfortable. I love to share positive and uplifting things on this channel. Unfortunately, I'm saddened by what happened. I know that so many people deal with this, unfortunately. I truly appreciate your love and support! It really means so much to me! We love and appreciate you so much. Thank you, friend! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I am genuinely sick to my soul to see such a lovely and loved person in pain. Nobody should be made to feel such despair, and nobody should ever be so arrogant as to think they can make another human being feel so; just remember, you have your own power and nobody can take that away from you, and nobody can have more power over you than yourself. Keep strong Love, and keep winning 🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
Thank you so very much. I had to share just so I could help at least one person know that they're not alone. It definitely have had it documented, and Chris went and spoke to the individual about the incident. I truly love and appreciate your love and support. It truly means the world to us. 🤍Jess x
Your video appeared on my feed and I clicked it out of curiosity. I'm happy that I did, as it gives me the chance to add my support to that of your regular viewers. I'm so very sorry for your bad experience, and hope that it will fade in your memory soon. There's no excuse at all for this kind of behaviour, it's abuse plain and simple, and it is absolutely not the victim's fault. I just want to say how much I admire your strength and courage for sharing this so publicly. Take care!
Thank you so much for clicking on the video. Also, for showing your support. It really means the world to me! I really hope By me sharing that someone that is also experiencing harassment does not feel alone. That is ,my one wish is to be able to help one person to know they're not alone. Thank you so much for just showing your love! 🤍 Jess x
Hi Jess, Firstly, it's very brave of you to mention this incident publicly, so my respect for you (which was very high anyway) is now sky high. I hope this person knows they did wrong and has apologised, and you don't have to see this moron again. Shedding a few tears on camera is good actually, crying releases the emotions. It's the old saying, you feel better after a good cry! To me, YOU and your family, are a wonderful edition to our country, albeit only temporarily of course. You're a beautiful soul inside and out and respectfully I send you much love. Take care luv. Ian :-)
Thank you for the kind words of support and encouragement. It truly means a lot to me and my family. The situation was addressed and I am focusing on the future. We have loved the country and yes, it is temporary, but one we will forever remember with fond memories that outweigh the negative ones. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
You are an honest and lovely person. I am so annoyed that you had such an ignorant and nasty person behaved inappropriately towards you. There are laws in the UK to punish that type of person. Do not let one incident affect your life.
You know t hurt so bad, but to know that I was able to share and maybe help one person who is dealing with the same thing. This incident has been well documented, and the individual knows they done wrong. I truly appreciate your love support you have poured into me! 🤍 Jess x
You are an adorable person, and clearly also a strong and positive person in control of your life. It took a lot of courage for you to share. I would not presume to advise you but I know you will continue to draw strength from the support of the many people who love and respect you.
Friend, thank you so very much. I try my best to show my kids my strength. I felt the overwhelming urge to share. I truly appreciate your love and support! 🤍 Jess x
Sorry to hear of your traumatic experience. You'll get all the love and respect from all supportive groups. Don't let that scum get away with it. Take care and all the best 🇬🇧🇺🇲
Although sad that you had to go through such an incident in this country in this day and age, at least you did find a guy like Chris who clearly comes across as a man who treats women very well and of course you are also raising a wonderful and respectful son as well. The positivity you receive from your subscribers is a mere reflection of all the oceans of positivity you yourself put out there into the world.
Friend, it was sad to experience, but I felt I was called to share for others to know they're not alone. I agree, I'm so very blessed to have Chris. We're doing our best to raise a respectful young man and young lady. I appreciate your love and support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
So sorry to hear about your bad experience. As a Brit I can say it's a pleasure to have you and your family here. Your videos are a great watch and taught me a lot about the places I haven't been to yet. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so very much.I am so thankful that many of you find enjoyment out of our video that we are able to share. We absolutely love it here. We appreciate all your love and support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Jess, you are a beautiful strong lady and i commend you for sharing with us. We all love and support you along with your amazing husband Chris and your lovely children. Take care lots of love from Cheshire ❤ xx
Thank you so much. I just want to share for anyone who may be dealing with what it themselves. I talked it over with Chris before sharing, but I felt the need for myself and others. I love and appreciate your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Well done you for being open and honest. The things that happened to you are fortunately not common but that doesn't make it ok. Its absolutely horrible. I'm glad you don't hold it against us all. Going off piste a little bit. When you picked up your drink I had to look twice because the way the camera is angled, it looked all through the video that your flowers were in that glass. Anyway, continue to enjoy our country and make the most of it whilst you're here. I served in the military myself for many years in many different countries and every tour for my family and I was a new adventure, you have to grasp these times by the scruff of the neck and make the most of them. I'm deeply sorry what happened to you, it makes me furious but try not to let it define you or your time here. Looking forward to your next trip out, love!
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement. I would not be able to hold it against anyone else or the time that we have had or yet to come. We will continue to make the best of this time because we are very fortunate to be able to be in another country and see another culture. Look forward to hearing from you in the next video too. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
It used to be the case that each region of the UK would have a sort of name when in general conversation. It's just an expression and doesn't mean anything personal and is dying out a bit as some people seem to take offence. Just a few examples but in the Kettering/Leics area it's M'duck, In the northeast it's "Pet" sometimes it's "darling or Darlin". The word Love or Luv is pretty universal and you have Luvver or my lovely. In Scotland it can be "Hen" You still get it a lot on the markets by the stallholders. Shame about the "incident" and is the sort of thing that makes people draw back from friendly banter. It makes me sad but that is the world we now live in.
Friend, I really appreciate your love and support! It was not the easiest thing to share, but I know it needed to be. Thank you. So very much for all of your love!!! 🤍 Jess x
That took some doing, Jess. Well done in bringing that unpleasant episode out into the open and to Chris in supporting you through it. You as a family have embraced the British way of life and culture and have enjoyed every moment of your time here thus far. May you continue to do so until it's time to return to the USA.
Thanks for the support, it really does mean a lot. It was something that I felt I needed to address on the channel. Chris has been there supporting me when I need it. We will indeed continue when we do return to the USA. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I am incredibly sorry that you had something like that happen to you as a young boy, that is not ok. I am terribly sorry! Sending you lots of love. 🤍 Jess x
Thank you so much for being so brave and sharing the things in life that are hard , talking about them helps the person and those listening who may have gone through similar. ❤ l really enjoy your channel. So pleased that you are enjoying your time in the uk and are feeling the love of the British people. 👍
That was definitely why I was called to share, I think. It was just an overwhelming need to share. I definitely appreciate your love and support! 🤍 Jess x
HI Jess i'm so sorry you have been through such a traumatic experience, you are very brave to share this with us, the most important thing is never suffer alone, no one is above the law no matter how high ranking they are, if you feel the need to report them do so . i loved your comments Jess, remember the British way KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON .
Thank you so very much. I truly felt the overwhelming urge to share so others know that they are not alone. I do agree, my friend Stay Calm and Carry On! Sending you lots of love. 🤍 Jess x
Friend, thank you for your love and support! I truly appreciate it was not an easy thing to share, but I knew it had to be for others who may be dealing with something similar. I definitely do love this slice of heaven. The UK as a whole will have a special place in my heart. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
It will be a hard day, but I will definitely return! I'm sure of it. When your heart falls in love with a place, you always have it in your heart. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I'm so sorry that happened to you. It was heart breaking to watch but it is so important to share. I too have had an awful experience and I never spoke about it because part of me blames myself for putting myself in an unsafe situation. I know that is not the reality and I did nothing wrong but as you say, it is hard to come to terms with. Thank you for being so brave.
I am sorry that you had to deal with something as well. Do not be afraid to talk about it. Even now, just getting it out in the open can help you heal. Don't be afraid to confide in someone that you trust to talk about your situation. It may not make it go away but it will help. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Watching your videos, I have always thought what a lovely lady you are. Now I know you are 'brave' too.. It has taken courage to speak about your recent nasty experience. Just talking about it will, I hope, diminish its power a little. Almost every person I know, who has been touched inappropriately, questioned whether they had done 'something' to create the situation. Why do good, kind people do that? So please throw that thought out of the window as soon as you can - it isn't true. Turn your scorn, instead, on the pathetic person who really deserves your contempt. Easier said than done I know. It just takes a bit of time to get something like this 'straight' in our heads. By speaking out today, in the way that you did, who knows how many other people you have helped who are in the same boat. What a great lady you are!
Thank you so much. It was extremely hard to share, but I know other people are dealing with it, and so I just had this overwhelming need to share. I am definitely keeping my head up and wanting to move past, and just know that person does not have power over me. I really appreciate your love and support and kind words. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Thank you so much! I had the overwhelming urge to share for others who may be dealing with the same thing. I truly appreciate all of your support and love you pour into us. 🤍 Jess x
Thanks for sharing this Jess, it was obviously not easy but the right thing to do .I am pleased to read all the positive comments you have received here and hope it has helped you somewhat. I hope that you are able to put this all behind you and move on to a better place, regards Bill.
Thanks for the support. Yes, the amazing outreach and support of the channel has been overwhelming. It has helped tremendously. Also, being able to allow others to speak about things that have affected them truly means a lot. 🤍 Jess x
You have been very brave of what you have been through it's very hard about talking of what has happened to you just because you're a nice person doesn't give other people the right to take advantage of others. It's hard for you at this time but stay brave.
Thank you so much for your love and support. I greatly appreciate it so very much! It was not the easiest thing to share. I definitely felt that it was needed. I appreciate your love tremendously. 🤍 Jess x
Hey Jess I posted a couple of days ago, but in a moment of forgetfulness included a link, so the post got deleted in spam filters. I did not repost quickly, as I was concerned that perhaps it was a hint from fate that I had not hit the tone I would wish to, but essentially it was about the impact of negative events being grown through, and creating an even more beautiful, and more unique and strong, being. They call it wabi-sabi in Japan, and with your sharing this with others, one can certainly see that in you. Although I have not posted you have been in my thoughts. So sorry for what happened. So proud of you. David
Oh, I'm so sorry that it got deleted! Thank you so very much for reposting it. I will definitely look into that. I truly appreciate your love and support. I felt the need to share and maybe help at least one person know they're not alone and are so loved by me. I truly appreciate your thoughts and time sharing with me. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
You did not have to tell us but doing so probably is good. We nearly all have secrets and troubles. Sometimes it is easier to 'come out' to trusted strangers. I am glad you have a lovely family and have enjoyed your time in the UK so much. Time does eventually heal one of traumatic episodes, I do know, even if they are never, ever forgotten, they can be left way behind. I know you will always appreciate the little and great good times you have spent here.
I was so compelled to share. I'm normally a private person, but I thought I needed to share what happened to me, others who were going through it or have experienced it as well to feel alone. Thank you so very much for your love and support. It really means the world to our family! 🤍 Jess x
Hello, lovely lady. Thank you for sharing your tears. NEVER apologise for expressing your raw feelings, without any details,im just a nobody but want you to know im with you all the time, now in my sixties, some things never leave you, BUT,,they will never beat us. Stay safe, stay strong and please please, stay happy 😊. Take care, Tony here in the UK ❤
Thank you so very much , it really is something really hard to understand in the moment. I am surrounded by so much love! I truly appreciate and love everyone being so supportive. Thank you so very much! 🤍 Jess x
You are more than welcome, keep smiling 😃,,just watching you both walking around some gardens. And just commented about that darn,Stalking Squirrel 😅, take care, Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧❤
@anthonydarby3973 Well, definitely keep smiling. I definitely loved that comment. It could have been the same squirrel. Thank you for your time, friend! 🤍 Jess x
As you started this with the fact that you've seen more respectful attitudes here, and better maternity/paternity I thought that you'd been lucky to experience only positives, as so many of us have sadly experienced something rather less positive. You are very brave to share this horrible incident, and I hope if it happened in the UK, that the person faced the consequences of their actions. I hope that sharing helps to dispel the demons somewhat and I'm so sorry that you had to go through this shit. I cried with you, and am so angry that this crap still happens. On a lighter note, every time I watch your vids, I think, you're going to find a way to stay here, and you'd all be most welcome to do so. Stay strong, and keep enjoying the beautiful things.
The experience has been overall a great one. The one incident was not something that will define this experience for me. Thank you for your continued support and yes, sharing it helps the process but more so encourages others to talk about their situation as well. I will stay strong and we will keep enjoying all the beautiful things! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
You're such a lovely person, I hate to see you so upset after the incident you are referring to. I'm happy though that you are enjoying so many aspects of our country. I love your videos.
Thank you so much. I definitely felt the desire and need to share for others going through something similar. I truly appreciate your support! England definitely has a special place in my heart and always will! 🤍 Jess x
What a distressing experience. It took a lot of courage to come out with that situation to us. I admire your ability to use sharing what happened as an opportunity to gain a sense of empowerment. And also help others feel that they don't have to keep quiet about being abused. I wish you the best of luck in dealing with this person, and hopefully reaching a satisfactory resolution to what happened. Take care.
It was a very distressing experience. Thank you for the kind words. There was something that was calling for me to talk about it. To help the process for myself and more importantly like you mentioned, allow others to speak out if they had a similar situation happen. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
O Jess Bless you to find so much courage to talk about this very sad episode whilst her in the uk! We all love you for your smile along with character and charisma that you bring to the fold! The person who you explained of some power has less power than you and that I guess is whats lacking in their life! Jess the good Lord blessed you with the huge power too stand up for whats right and whats wrong and how dare the person take advantage of the beautiful person you are! Stay strong and remember we all love you for what you are! A great Friend! God bless and love to all the family
Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. It means more than you know. It did take a lot of courage to talk about it, but it was something that I needed to do if for no other reason than to let others know they are not alone and can talk about what happened to them as well. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
A very interesting take on the roles of women in the UK. I have two daughters and two granddaughters and have brought them up to believe that there should be no difference in the way men and women are treated, both generally and in the workplace. One of my daughters is a lawyer and the other works with children and adolescents with additional education needs. They are accomplished, kind, compassionate women, with a deep sense of justice, and it fills me with joy when I see just how they have turned out. There are, however, many men (of all ages) who find it very difficult to accept the fact that women and men should be treated equally and with respect. I am encouraged by noting the difference from when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s, however. I'd like to suggest your having a look at the England women's rugby team, the Red Roses, if you want an example of powerful women. They are brilliant role models, not only for girls and women, but for boys and men too. Great athletes, demonstrating the value of hard work and perseverance and a tough as anything. Fantastic to watch too! As for your dreadful experience, it was upsetting to hear. I'm glad that you have been able to realise that the person gas-lighting you was totally responsible and that you were the victim of somebody attempting to exercise power over you. Take care!
Thank you so much for the kind words. It is great to hear about people making a conscious decision to raise there daughters to know how things should work. I can only imagine how different it was back in the 50s and 60s. At least we have made progress from then. It means a lot hearing from you on this matter. 🤍 Jess x
The only thing you will always have is your breath, every thing else can and will change, we can not control the actions of others, but we can control how we react to them, the fact that you have a such a beautiful family, an obviously benevolent nature, in wanting to help others, and frankly the guts to be who you are in spite of what hurts you, is testament to your humanity, truly from the bottom of my heart you are an inspiration, other sufferers can see the pain, and see your battle, and I for one take great comfort from all that you have achieved, and all that you have given to Shane and Collette* the truly wonderful gift of exploration and education, I will be sad when you return to Michigan, you have all brightened my life, and I wish you all peace and fulfilment, freedom from pain and all that your hearts desire. X
Thank you so very much. I truly appreciate you, my friend. I am so thankful to have such wonderful, supportive, and loving people who surround me and show their love. It is what helps make this a beautiful world go round. I love spreading, kindness, supporting others, and finding the good in the world. You my friend are very loved! I. Will miss England when we return to Michigan, but we will show you our hotmess of our small holding and take you along and show you around our home. Thank you so much for your love and support! 🤍 Jess x
Look forward to your content in the future, think you have helped many military personnel who may have dreaded coming here, hope you have enlightened the wary, and dispelled many of the myths about these islands.
Oh Jess, this is the first time I have seen you cry emotionally like this since watching your videos for a long time. Women have been the subject of abuse from persons of power in all corners of the earth since time began. As a British person myself, it hurts my heart to know this happened to you on my patch. But, as I know the strong and caring individual you are, the love and support you and your beautiful family show for my country and your followers far outweigh this horrible experience you had to endure. Daydreamers Barn reminds me more of a UK travel guide show than just a RUclips channel as you guys are so professional at what you do and for sure in my top three favourite channels. Please do not let this sad experience hold you back, but embrace it in a way that will make you a stronger person as this will guide to move forward with the strength towards a better tomorrow. xxx
I hate that it happened, but you know I know that everything happens for a reason. I was so compelled to share so others that are experiencing it no that they're not alone. We will not allow this to stop our love for and share our experience in the UK! This is definitely our home away from home! We are so thankful that you enjoy our videos of us exploring. We appreciate your love and support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Jess, I understand your feelings all too well and appreciate you sharing. You continue to shine, and the positivity you radiate despite past experiences is inspiring. ❤
Thank you for that. It was something that was calling on me to share. There are too many people that experience horrible things and it is best to talk about it. 🤍 Jess x
SOOO sorry you had such an unfortunate and distressing experience . I hope that having the courage - and it obviously did require a LOT of courage - to share helps you come closer to dealing with the anguish and the torment.
Yes, I appreciate it. I felt compelled to share, and I don't know why. I think maybe because others are dealing with things that they are uncomfortable to say or express. I'm not certainly sure why I was so sure to share, but... All I know is that I want to be here for everyone with love and support. I only want to spread love and kindness to all. I truly appreciate your love! 🤍 Jess x
Speaking out is so very important on these things, and takes much bravery. I know from my own situations how hard it is an applaud your comment to others in the same boat. That sort of man deserves some sort of punishment, but likely will persist unless more speak out. No person should be harassed/abused or invaded in any way. May the karma they create haunt them, and only good things come to you, Chris and your family. What has happened has now moved on, and may your innate strength allow you to remove those memories and move on too. I am so pleased you have found so much good as a woman in the UK. It not a topic I see discussed. Hopefully wherever you next get posted you will find much more to cherish and enjoy. Have a wonderflul week, and look forward to your next video.
I think you so much. I truly just felt the need for others to feel like they were not alone. It has been documented, and the person has been spoken to by Chris. I will always notice the drive women have and not allow things to hold them back. I am so proud to be a woman! I truly appreciate your love and support and really hope this video reaches someone who needs to know they are not alone and are so loved by me! Thank you for your support, my friend! 🤍 Jess x
This has to be one of the bravest things I have seen on RUclips. There is always a bad apple on the tree. Thankfully, they are not all bad. To treat a woman so badly that it leaves her traumatised is absolutely disgusting. I am a man and I find it reprehensible. Deeply shameful.
Oh friend, it was definitely something that I felt the overall welming urge to share. I truly appreciate your love and support it really makes my heart so happy! Thank you for being so kind and caring to women. 🤍 Jess x
I’m so sorry to hear Jess about you’re traumatic experience, it was inappropriate and despicable that someone in power did this. Power to you for rising above you’re trauma so you can share you’re painful experience here and empower people. I hope that traumatic experience won’t dampen your love for the U.K.. But unfortunately, like any country in the world there are good and bad people but we must always believe in the good, so we keep manifesting good things in our lives. You’re a strong woman who wears her heart on her sleeve and it shows. Sending love to you and Chris and you’re family. God bless. 😊
Thank you so much! I am definitely rising above and not letting the person dim my light. It will take the love that I have for the UK away because of one bad apple. We truly appreciate all your love and support. It really means so much to us! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Hi, as a man I am disgusted how some people abuse their position with unwanted sexual harassment being the worst. I'm so sorry this happened to you and embarrassed it happened in England. It should never be tolerated.
You know, there are bad apples every wear and in every country. It's an unfortunate thing, but we are not going to let it ruin our time here. We love it here, and we appreciate all the love and support we get from each one of you. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Thank you so much for all the love and support you give! It was so unfortunate I looked at this person as family here. Especially when I needed family the most at my lowest point emotionally. I will not let this stop me from loving this beautiful country! Thank you 🤍 Jess x
Oh my god I literally stopped breathing when you shared your awful experience hun. I watch all your videos have done for the longest time. I always like them but have never commented until now. I’m so very sorry you have been treated this way. Sadly I honestly think most women have at least one experience in life where we are treated like that. I too have had such experiences hun & my heart broke when you shared this. I’m so glad you haven’t allowed it to smear your time here with us. That person is vile & disgusting! You on the other hand are a lovely happy wonderful person. I hope that scumbag has been dealt with. Sending soo much love & many best wishes to you & your lovely family. Take care lovely. From Lyn in Liverpool UK 🇬🇧
Dear friend, thank you for your time watching our videos. It was so hard to share it on the channel, but I knew others have experienced it or may not be comfortable talking about it, so I wanted them not to feel alone. I truly appreciate your support. It really means so very much to me. The individual has been spoken to, and the incident has been documented. It is so unfortunate that others have to go through such horrible things. 🤍 Jess x
Huge, enormous, INSANE respect for saying this to a public audience. So many people bottle it up and that’s what really fcuks you up - getting it out in the open is surely the first step towards your mental healing. Don’t try and understand why you’re feeling like you are about it… just ride it out and talk about it. This whole comments section will reassure you that it is NOT YOUR FAULT. Don’t look for blame in yourself by what you were wearing, what you were doing or anything like that. Big love from West London.
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. You hit the nail on the head. Something told me I needed to talk about it so others could know they are not alone and feel they could do the same. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I’m so socked and saddened that you have gone through. Maybe you’ve chosen to take action maybe not, but you are a valued and kind person. No woman or man should have to go through that.
Thank you so very much. I agree nobody ever deserves that. It was very hard to share, but I knew I needed to for others. It was very unfortunate, but I will not allow this to dim my light. We truly love sharing and just being here in the UK and calling this home away from home! Thank you for your love and support. It means the world to us. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Glad you put the blame where it needed to be and hasn’t stopped you from being yourself. Happened to my girlfriend at work, he was so brazen about it she even questioned if she was overreacting.
It is an unfortunate part of dealing with situations like this. I am sorry she had to deal with that, but glad that she was able to confide in you about it. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Sorry to hear that you've experienced such a disrespectful incident, Jess. Hopefully, as you address and overcome the shock of it you won't let someone's thoughtless and inappropriate actions define or affect you. Seeing how positive and giving you are, you will rise above it with the love and support of your family and friends. Sending my Best to you and your family.
Hi Jess , your incredible such a brave thing to do , if we don't talk about these things it just festers and builds up so your doing a good thing . Mental health matters a lot .sending a hug your way ❤😊
What a beautiful and strong person you are Jess, I am so sorry that this could happen to you here. I know there are scumbags everywhere and they should be made to suffer for the pain they cause. It is unfortunate that a lot get away with such abysmal behaviour, please don't let it blight your life & outlook, I have so enjoyed your videos that yours is one of only a few channels I have commented on - you and Chris and the kids are such a breath of fresh air. If you ever want to "send the lads round" I will be on the first train down 🤬😉. Keep being yourself Jess "me duck"(Derbyshire). Lots of hugs to you and Chris and I hope you can eventually get over this abuse -remember you did nothing wrong - he did, and should be brought to account.
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement. It was something that needed to be said in order to help my process and others with their process if they have gone through something similar. We are glad to be a breath of fresh air. This has had its effects, but it will not dim my light. 🤍 Jess x
Amazing video, Jess. It’s always good to talk about whatever’s bothering us, takes a lot of courage but it’s worth the mental relief. Btw, an happy wife means an happy life 😂.
Thank you so much. I am so glad you enjoyed it. I just wanted to be raw and true with you all and in case anybody else was dealing with what I've expected with. Thank you so much for all of your love and support!! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Has man who was brought up with strong women around me, i hate when i here of men who don,t show respect for women,it grinds my bones you are strong loving& caring, sending you love and friendship to you all ❤
Jess. Sorry about the incident mentioned at around 11 mins. Love to Chris, Shane and Colette. I live in Nottingham UK, ('angry car' VW Golf with a loud exhaust.) and I know you went there, and Belvoir Castle, near Grantham recently. If I knew you were there, I would have liked to say hello, and wished you well. Gentle fist bump on your shoulder. You are always welcome in the UK, even if the weather is not great sometimes.
God bless you Jess, for sharing your love with us,and your sadness. Although I haven't personally met you I can see from your videos that you have a special light about you and your kindness shines brightly. I'm sad to say there are jerks everywhere in the world and I'm sorry that you had to encounter one here in the UK,all the shame is on him though Jess, and I truly hope you can get the experience out of your thoughts and emotions, the creep just isn't worth your head space. I'm so glad you have found much to love in,and about England, and the people you've encountered are making you feel welcome, and if I ever encounter you and Chris I will be sure to say "Hi" and extend a warm welcome to you both love, keep making the great videos and bye for now. 🥰
Hopefully, one day we can meet that would be wonderful. If you ever see us out in about, please say hello. It was a horrible incident, but I will not let it dem my light! Thank you so much for your love and support. It really means so much! 🤍 Jess x
It was truly unfortunate, but I'm so glad I was able to share for others who may be going through something similar. I just want others to know that they're not alone. I truly appreciate your support. The person who did the unwelcomed action has been dealt with, and everything has been documented. 🤍 Jess x
Thank you, friend! I definitely agree with you on not keeping it in the dark. I also wanted others to know that they are not alone and that they are loved! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Inspirational as always Jess! I'm sorry that happened to you but appreciate you sharing. Victims should never feel shame over what happened to them but often do. Sometimes causing them to keep that secret for years to their own detriment. If those who are able to speak up do so, it helps those people who haven't reached that point yet. x
I think you very much! I definitely had the overwhelming need to share. I felt that if I had the ability to share that, I needed to so I could at least maybe help one person. I just want people to know. They are not alone and that they are loved tremendously! I truly appreciate and love you all so very much! 🤍 Jess x
Friend, I truly appreciate it.I was definitely called to share this unfortunate event. I felt that if I could share, then someone else would not feel alone. I absolutely love and appreciate your virtual hug! Thank you, friend Cheers 🤍 Jess x
We love your channel, Jess - you’re such a lovely positive person and it’s really despicable that you’ve been treated like that. How horrible, and you were very brave to talk about it. We love hearing your impressions of the UK, and having spent a lot of time in the US ourselves, including a year in Nashville which was fantastic and life changing, I’m always smiling and agreeing with what you say about the differences. I’m glad to see from other comments that the individual has been dealt with. Looking forward to more of your videos and look after yourselves - you’re a lovely family xx
Thank you for your kind words and continued support. I am glad you are able to agree with having a similar perspective as we have. Nashville is a great place to visit, we have been there quite a few times. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
@JessicaPratt-gb1fy 💯 always love reading and responding. It feels my heart with such joy! I hope you are well and know just how much you're appreciated. 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn ah, thank you! We enjoyed your cider video this evening too and I’m really glad you’ll keep on with the channel when you go back to the US! X
Hi Jess. I have enjoyed your videos. At point 3:50 you were talking about the role women are taking in the UK’s Trucking industry. I never worked in that industry, I started work as an apprentice in what today is British Telecom in 1967. The only females in our industry then were the lady operators who answered the old 0, and later 100 calls. Many became married to engineers. The other ladies were Clerical Assistants for the managers. In the late 1900’s employment equality laws were changed, women could apply for any job. We started getting female apprentices who became technicians covering the whole business. These days you will see ladies climbing poles, erecting wires etc. Obviously they don’t wear dresses on pole work and wear the same safety wear as the rest of the male staff.
It is great to see how things have progressed in a relatively short period of time. It is great that women have the ability to apply for the same jobs and be treated the same as the male counter parts. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Hey sorry for the knucklehead who did what they did, I’m glad your positive experiences have broken that I’m VERY GLAD that you see this country as a home, you have a unique advantage over everybody else in that you’ve actually lived here & even if you don’t win the lottery you’re still rich in life experience & by extension your husband & children too If you don’t get that ideal 2nd home at least you know where exactly you’ll want to vacation & what you’ll want to do with your money & time, it’s people like you & your family that help make our country a good place to be And even you’re “ not from here” you sorta ARE, you know, like physically & spiritually, nobody can ever take that away from you all Best wishes & success to you all, I’m not flush but put this towards a bag of chips Love 😊
Thank you so much, friend you are incredibly kind and supportive. We love at appreciate it. Even if we don't win the lottery, I do agree with you that we are rich each and every one of us! Thank you so much for pouring your love and kindness into us. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
(Some) men with power are responsible for so much harm in the world. But there are many more decent people and if we all stand together and against them we are so much stronger. That’s why talking helps.
Agreed 100%. It is not all men by any means. But there are some in power that can affect people more than they know. That is why I felt I needed to say something on the channel. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
l am so sorry that happened to you and l am so glad it was a one of. l have met some gems of people and unfortunately some not so nice but the gems like you and your family are what makes the world go round.
Oh, thank you. Definitely wanted to share so people understand the real and raw things we're experiencing. I always want to be true and share for other that may experience the same thing so they know I'm with them. I appreciate your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I've really been enjoying your channel and am so sorry to hear about your experience. I hope sharing it has helped you move on from it and the person is somehow held to account. In terms of living in the US and the UK, it might be worth reaching out to Dara and Ian whose great channel Magenta Otter showcases their times in Cheltenham where they have a flat and in Texas which is their main home.
Thank you so very much. We absolutely appreciate you here. I felt called to share! I feel that it definitely helped, and hopefully, it helped at least one person know that they are not alone. We love Dara and Ian. Hopefully, one day, we can meet up with them! Thank you so much for your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Awh Jess, I'm so sorry, but at least you haven't let that incident change you from being the bright, bubbly person you are. Shame that someone took advantage of your nature. On another note, flowers are on point again! Beautiful! Oh, may I ask - your necklace? I'm intrigued. I can't work out what it is? If its personal, just tell me to mind my own. Much love to you and the family, and a special virtual hug for you 🤗
Thank you for your love and support! I can't let anyone take or dim my shine. I was compelled to share, for others to know they are not alone. I love my weekly flowers. Something I purchased for myself. Thank you for noticing. 🤍 Jess x
Have a drink on us, for having the courage to share.
Thank you. I truly appreciate the love and support from you all! I will definitely have a nice drink. 🤍 Jess x

Hi Jess I'm so sorry this happened to you I hope you willfo
So sorry this happened and thank you for your courage to share. Take care. Love to you and your family. x
I truly appreciate each and every one of you. It wasn't easy to share, but I felt the need in case someone else was dealing with the samething. So they know they're not alone.
🤍 Jess x
As a man I loathe abuse of power. You are a beautiful soul, please dont let this person have any lingering impact on your life.
Thank you for the love and support! You all are such a blessing we're incredibly blessed, to say the least. 🤍 Jess x
A British man in London here,
I’d just like to commend you for your bravery and for sharing something so humiliating and horrific, you didn’t need to but you did and that was VERY hard and will undoubtably help others and for that I absolutely adore you and respect you and am so proud of you,
Unacceptable behaviour must always be called out.
You will be fine and when you finally do go home I for one will be really sad to see you go.
Bravo on a spectacular channel 🎉
❤❤❤xx
Thank you so much for your love, friend! 🤍 Jess x
Bless you it hurts to see you sad 😔
Oh, dear friend! You are my light. We love and appreciate you so much! 🤍 Jess x
🤍 Jess X
Thanks!
Friend, thank you for your love. You're incredibly kind, and I appreciate your support!
🤍 Jess x
Holy cow!

The wife of our vicar related a similar story to my wife and me. She made it very clear that she did not accept that it was, in any way, her 'fault'.
I am glad others relate the same feelings as I do. Thanks for the comment and support. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
your very kind to our country thankyou!
You are very welcome. 🤍 Jess x
Thank you for the support. I wanted to make sure I could get it out there to let others know they are not alone either. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
You’re a lovely person and i appreciate your channel
Thank you so much for the love and support! 🤍 Jess x
I admire your bravery. Maybe a drive through England's beautiful countryside, will make you smile and forget.
That is exactly what we did today! England/ UK have definitely stolen a BIG part of my heart!! Thank you so much for your love and support. 🤍 Jess x
There is an old English phase when your feeling pissed off "
Keep your chin up, and don't let um get you down" 👍
So sorry to hear about your bad experience.
In Scotland it can be "Hen"
You still get it a lot on the markets by the stallholders.
Shame about the "incident" and is the sort of thing that makes people draw back from friendly banter.
It makes me sad but that is the world we now live in.
With much from probably one of your oldest fans 89 is my young age I look forward to to your vlogs 💕
Cheers 🤍 Jess x
you made me cry talking about that....because i was there as a small boy...and could not talk for years about it
I am incredibly sorry that you had something like that happen to you as a young boy, that is not ok. I am terribly sorry! Sending you lots of love. 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn child abuse makes me beyond angry.....
🤍 Jess x
❤❤❤ So sorry Jess. I hope the culprit was dealt with. It's never you're fault. ❤
Thank you so much. The incident has been documented. Also, Chris spoke to the individual. We appreciate your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
🤍 Jess x
So sorry about you're bad experience Jess, you are such a nice genuine person, be strong, love the way you love our small country. You are charming.😊
Friend, thank you for your love and support! I truly appreciate it was not an easy thing to share, but I knew it had to be for others who may be dealing with something similar. I definitely do love this slice of heaven. The UK as a whole will have a special place in my heart. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
strong lady - never understood the mentality of someone that does that - you're lovely
Love, I truly appreciate your kindness! 🤍Jess x
You won't want to leave when the time comes 😔
You are welcome here anytime 🇬🇧 🇺🇲
It will be a hard day, but I will definitely return! I'm sure of it. When your heart falls in love with a place, you always have it in your heart. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Brave , ....Chris is a lucky guy
Oh, I'm the lucky one. I'm so blessed beyond believe his and everyons support! 🥰 🤍 Jess x
Thank you for your video. I wish you well and you recovery and that you get stronger❤
🤍 Jess x
Hey Jess
I posted a couple of days ago, but in a moment of forgetfulness included a link, so the post got deleted in spam filters.
-hugs- when you needed to catch your words talking about your difficult moment 😢. Glad you got your words.
Thank you for the support. It was difficult, but something that I felt I needed to talk about.
You bought a few tears to my eyes with that horrible experience you went through.
Oh friend, I'm so sorry. I was compelled to share. I'm so sorry for making you upset! I truly appreciate your love and support! 🤍 Jess x
🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn Just hope the many positives can go some way to countering the one hideous incident.
I am so sorry this has happened to you. It makes me sad and angry and hope you heal soon.
Thank you so much for all the love and support you give! It was so unfortunate I looked at this person as family here. Especially when I needed family the most at my lowest point emotionally. I will not let this stop me from loving this beautiful country! Thank you 🤍 Jess x
I am sorry about your bad experience. You are lovely people. Keep doing what you are doing.
Thank you, I definitely appreciate your kindness and support! This experience will not hold down. Thank you for your love. Cheers 🤍 Jess x

Thank you, Jess, I'm going to be kind to myself today, and after Sunday dinner I'm going to drink about 6 pints of cider 😂😂..
Enjoy, friend, cheers to you!! 🤍 Jess x

Thanks for the encouragement. We will keep up the work.

I would be very happy and delighted to have you and your family as neighbours and friends.
Oh dear friend, thank you. How fun would that be!? Cheers 🤍 Jess x
So sorry you had such a horrible experience. You’re brave to talk about it and I know that you will rise above this.
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I will rise above, but I needed to make sure people out there knew they are not alone.
So sorry to hear this and having the courage to speak out about it. Sending you light and love🙏
Thank you so very much for your love and support! It definitely took everything I had to share so others don't feel alone.
Thank you, friend, for the love and support! I truly appreciate your time. Cheers 🤍 Jess x

Hi Jess , your incredible such a brave thing to do , if we don't talk about these things it just festers and builds up so your doing a good thing . Mental health matters a lot .sending a hug your way ❤😊
Thank you. Yes, mental health matters so much. I am hoping this can help others as much as it helped me. Cheers 🤍 Jess x

If you do see us out and about, please feel free to say hello. Thank you for welcoming us here, regardless of the weather we will keep going. 🤍 Jess X
🤍 Jess x
Heartbreaking to hear this, very sorry to hear this has happened. Like others have said I hope the offender gets the book thrown at them.
It was truly unfortunate, but I'm so glad I was able to share for others who may be going through something similar. I just want others to know that they're not alone. I truly appreciate your support.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience , by talking about it you don't have to hold it in , which leads to anxiety , sending you positive vibes.
Thank you for your support. That is exactly why I felt I needed to address it on the channel. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
This stuff only perpetuates when it's left in the dark. Well done for opening up. I recommend rum on the drink front.
🤍 Jess x
Ahh Jess, what a shitty thing to happen, I’m so sorry. I wanted to give you a big hug, and tell you everything will be ok.
@@DaydreamersBarn thank you so much for your reply! X
Hey sorry for the knucklehead who did what they did, I’m glad your positive experiences have broken that
I’m VERY GLAD that you see this country as a home, you have a unique advantage over everybody else in that you’ve actually lived here & even if you don’t win the lottery you’re still rich in life experience & by extension your husband & children too
If you don’t get that ideal 2nd home at least you know where exactly you’ll want to vacation & what you’ll want to do with your money & time, it’s people like you & your family that help make our country a good place to be
And even you’re “ not from here” you sorta ARE, you know, like physically & spiritually, nobody can ever take that away from you all
Best wishes & success to you all, I’m not flush but put this towards a bag of chips Love 😊
Thank you so much, friend you are incredibly kind and supportive. We love at appreciate it. Even if we don't win the lottery, I do agree with you that we are rich each and every one of us! Thank you so much for pouring your love and kindness into us. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Great strength in opening up Jess and have a gin and tonic for your bravery, send love and best wishes too you and your family ❤️
Thank you so very much, and I definitely love/appreciate your love and kindness! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
God bless you Jess!
Oh, thank you for your love, my friend! 🤍 Jess x
l am so sorry that happened to you and l am so glad it was a one of. l have met some gems of people and unfortunately some not so nice but the gems like you and your family are what makes the world go round.
Oh, thank you. Definitely wanted to share so people understand the real and raw things we're experiencing. I always want to be true and share for other that may experience the same thing so they know I'm with them. I appreciate your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Im really sorry this happened to you. Well done for being brave and talking about it.
Thanks for the encouragement. I want to show others they can talk about what has happened to them as well. 🤍 Jess x
🤍 Jess x
