What I really enjoy about this one is the fact that, despite the effects/animatronics being really rudimentary, each room still offers a REALLY unique and exciting concept, with some really creative elements (like the "falling" section, or the hole in the wall).
Jeepers! This is incredible. I consider myself an expert on the ins and outs of this attraction. I've been on the California version and seen more videos of it than i could count. My love of this ride knows no bounds. But this video is the absolute best I've seen of Tokyo's version. There are angles and perspectives here that I've never seen while riding DL's. This also shows just how brightly lit and new the whole thing looks. Like with everything else, the OLC knows how to maintain their attractions. It also shows off a few effects that were either replaced (like the barrels of glowing DIP) or never realized in CA (the Escher room has a Roger that moves!). And then there's stuff even I'm unsure about! (I could swear I never saw shocked Roger's bowtie flip before!) Fantastic video. I'm going to watch 10 more times!!
Totally prefer this one, I really don't know why Disneyland changed it. They should've just done a refurb. Thanks for another awesome upload though :) Love your channel!!
This is like they took the original attraction and mixed in elements of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Also, Roger sounds like if Charles Fleischer himself were speaking Japanese.
@@LemonSkooter218 Well, the one in California isn't exactly like how it debuted anymore. They made Jessica Rabbit the main character versus Roger Rabbit. So no, not exactly like the one in Japan
Disney said that a monsters inc land will be coming to Hollywood studios. If monsters inc land gets a second attraction hopefully we will get a similar ride like this.
Wow Jessica Rabbit tied up and not covered head to toe in a trench coat. That's honestly a pretty good Roger Rabbit impression too. Japan is preserving American culture.
Part of that is due to the Japanese Disney parks being owned by the Oriental Land Company instead of Disney themselves. Disney still receive licensing fees and their Imagineers are involved in creative processes, but OLC are the ones making the major decisions.
I'm currently in Anaheim and we visited Disneyland a couple days ago. Something seemed off about this ride after I got off. Why was Jessica Rabbit wearing a yellow trench coat and not her dress? Then I googled and found my answer. Smh. At least I can see what it was supposed to look like in this version. 😂

Back when Imagineers had actual imagination.
このアトラクション、全体的にジャズがカッコよすぎるんよな…

One thing I love about this version of the attraction is that there are more animated setpieces than over at Disneyland.

I think some people are easily offended. I ,m guessing that's why they had to change it.
Some people are wusses.
@@romanumeralz I agree. 😆
I know, right? For the Roger Rabbit's Disneyland version, it's supposed to make an animatronic of Roger on the wall.

So glad I got to ride the one in Tokyo this year when I went June 2024!
I wish they had this in America. One of my favorite movies!!
It’s in California lol

Thanks!
@@avastindy5442eh only adults will notice that change. Kids wont and they're the demo anyways
@@gissneric Families are the target demo. Disneyland was made for everyone.
I wish Disney world had this ride .
It would be a PERFECT fit at Hollywood Studios!
Even more perfect if they added it in the animation courtyard@RideAdventures-t4l
Towards the end of the ride, there was a bit of a traffic jam.

ここのハンガリアンラプソディのジャズアレンジが好き過ぎる。

Roger Rabbit Dark Ride is better than Disneyland California
OMG the miniature Bennie’s are SO CUTE

i did not know that they had a roger rabbit ride!
Nice park
How funny would it be if during the “dip” actually sprays the guests riding. 😅😅

It’s better as the attraction was intended…

Why did it stop in the end
prob what was up ahead...Could of been unloading issues...
日本に来てくれてありがとう!!😆
im noticing western society losing all of their innovative rides and changing them for PC narratives while all the best rides stay in Japan now 😢
😂😂😂 that’s all you people in the west care about.disrespecting people and throwing racism in the face !!! Be quiet

TAXI!
So basically its the un-woke version? 😅
I am all for social justice
but Disney makes some dumb decisions sometimes
Original plot = the original ride before some weirdo snowflakes decided jessica rabbit being an attractive woman was offensive
