This is the least surprising result ever. Great work though.

Surprising to some, not a surprise to others, but good to have an answer.

If I am not mistaken, I think it was Susan Hardy that started the Trick gene? Or was it Blitz?

I'm not sure who started blitz or trick to be honest. I've always focused on Hurricane myself.

Do you have more information you can share on this? This is only a partial analysis so far.
There are genes which are part of the same complex, e.g. enchi, cinnamon or yellowbelly, gravel. However, these genes are not the same. For proof we need either a homozygous Trick matching a homozygous Hurricane, or, if homozygous tricks are not available, then a more complete genetic analysis of the sheds that you do have is needed.

HI Derek, all tricks were proved heterozygous for the mutation of Hurricane. As far as I'm aware, there are no other alleles of the same gene. No one, to my knowledge, has ever proven anything to be allelic with Hurricane and Trick. As you have seen in the video, all the ones that were not supposed to have the mutation didn't have it. I didn't have a super (homozygous) but as mentioned in the video a more thorough analysis is ongoing by other people who also offer genetic testing. I'm confident this will not change the conclusion.
