Seeing the under side of the old bin foundation brought back memories for me when we put our Westeel bins up in 1978/79. Pretty sure we had plastic down before we poured the concrete - all with a cement mixer mounted on the tractor's 3-pont hitch.
I laughed near the beginning of the video when three men, not three blind mice like in the nursery rhyme, were out with brooms etc. It reminded me when my cousin's wife got a broom out in her kitchen to go after a mouse. She caught the edge of her kitchen counter and she chipped her diamond in her wedding ring on her finger. She had to get a new replacement. . . . Also, I was working on a farm for my uncle. He asked me to clean out a granary. The smell of rotting grain is never forgotten. As well, there were mouse nests all around the inside wall of the metal granary. The mice did not have their hair yet. There I was using a broom to "dispatch" them. I still am reminded of it when I saw you chasing that critter and that was back in 1961. Be my guest to do the math. 😊

Dougo, telcos didn’t abandon their copper for rural telephone systems. The fiber is used as trunking between switching locations and to provide internet to the headend but the distribution of POTS ( Plain Old Telephone) and internet is still distributed to the end user on copper. If they didn’t connect fiber directly into your home you are still on copper.

My 2 year old cousin died of cancer and not too long after we saw a white dove on our walk to the waterfall at our family reunion. My mother called Kayla to the bird and it landed on her arm. My first thought was that bird was your wife coming to check on you.

.... how about installing a big extractor fan in he front wall of the curtain side ... would not only reduce the heat build-up but would reduce the lingering of chem concentration in the air by the mixing area ...... you took the fun away from one of your cats with your mouse catching shenanigans ..... thx for the share .... as always .. never stop dreaming, jut dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
For the floater to keep things from rusting, spray the whole unit down with a mix of ATF and diesel in a sprayer and coat it well, we do it on all of our floaters, and it works really well to keep things less rusty. Great video love to see a mouse chase once in a while
you will be able to hear by the time you are 60 working around all that noise earplugs, or a headset something would help it is loud for us watching you, it would all so help to put a fan in there or make a panel that opened up to let air in and sound out simple fixes would help you work and your health god bless

My daughter raises Show pigeons. The banded white pigeon is either a tired racer pigeon or a high flyer that is off course. It should make it home eventually. If not and you end up picking it up the National Pigeon Association should be able to connect you to their owner .

The pipe in the center of the cement of the bin was used for setting the forms and probably had the screed board anchored to it for the pour.

We took a old round fence post cut it short and put it in a drill and use that to mix dry products works great!
