Wow. In the couple of years I’ve been watching, and farming has no place in my life, you have gone from an entertaining kid to a serious, knowledgeable farmer. I’m impressed
Great job Chet showing Dad how to use the new technology your patience is a virtue so fun to watch you two work so well together that's why you are so successful and of course Eric and Brody are a huge asset to your Farming Operation, everyone's passion for it is second to none!!
Swedo & Cheto you both will never change, you will not respect Doug. But that's ok one day you will respect him. Just hope when you both do it ain't to late. Your call Swedo & Cheto.
I was confused when you said the scraper gets jammed, but immediately saw what the problem is. The apron cylinders aren't even close to correct and the apron can only open halfway. When the scraper was still cable operated, there was a bail arm that lifted on center of the apron. Normally when these are converted to hydraulic, the bail arm is retained and the pulleys are replaced with cylinder. It would be worth redoing the apron hydraulics Considering the bail arm seems to be gone, you would probably need to pattern parts off a properly converted pan at this point. Anybody nearby have one you can look at?
The best RUclips video ever. Such great content and like Chet I could watch machinery work all day. I would love to drive all the machinery they have. Trucks, tractors, Combines, scrappers behind tractors, gosh even Morty the floor clearner
Winter time or when it's a little to wet I go and survey a bunch of ground. Then design my ditches or full field grading. That way when it's time to implement I can go directly to that and the hard part of finding the ditches is done. Yes you have to survey the whole field but it really doesn't take that long if you put it on your side x side.
Gonna have to hit the steel barn for some side board material for the scraper. Doug is a man on a mission, more capacity, more cut time. I think I heard him say, "We Don"t Mess Around".
Love the shirt - ordered one. Say that all the time - " If you know, you know - it really shouldn't be that hard" Or as the bid Swede would say ' if you know, you know dar - it really shouldn't be dat hard dar - ya know' Go Mr. Dougo! Have a good harvest guys!.
Eric, I think if Chet tied on to that head trailer, with that big Mopar, you'd have to use a tongue shrinker to un-stretch the hitch on that trailer. Chuckling in Indiana. Another interesting episode. Thanks all!
When I was a kid working on the farm in Nebraska we walked the rows with a corn knife and chopped out all the volunteer growth by hand. Round Up was around but you had to use a wick rope and hope you didnt touch the crop or drip. I cant imagine not having to drive the tractor or combine while harveting.
Back the pickup up for a load of beans. Ford, Terry of Platinum Ford service left me a smiley, with "Terry and the Exploders as he called the exploerers. I loved the v-8 fords years ago, except the lighting wiring as i went over the bridge at twiglight with only parking lights as the headlights had a burning smell.
I have many hours experience with that software. I strongly suggest getting some background maps to help you know where to put ditches and (equally important) where to dump dirt. They are a time saver.
Pulling trailers for UPS my entire career, in LA we run about 500 a night into the train yards to go piggy back, or TOFC. We use all our trailers but we also use a lot of non UPS trailers. On all the trailers you can slide the wheels back and forth, moving them up lets you get around corners without swinging out as wide. But over time it tends to tweek a little, plus these trailers are being lifted up and down by the cranes in the rail yard, getting loaded and unloaded. So many would track funny, dog legged and there wasnt much you could do but try to adjust your tractor in the lane so the rear of the trailer would still be in the lane also.
As a kid I lived up the road from you guys at Clinton. We fished Big Stone Lake a bit. Hartford Beach? (does that sound familiar) was our annual 4th of July all-family picnic spot. Your Marsh Lake looks like a nice place to have a shore side home. You are farming huge to anything I saw growing up. Continued good luck.
Satellite controlled land scraping/drainage pitching is AWESOME!!! I remember the day when it was done by a surveyor, then dig by hand and plant tile. I am also amazed and impressed by your collective abilities to learn how to operate all kinds of equipment. Niiiiiice.
Hey Chet, couldn't help but notice that you're using a Gel Cel Battery powering that unit in the field. I'm sure you've already been cautioned not to get the polarity wrong when you connect it to a battery, cause I'm sure you know you can do some serious damage. You might want to investigate using Anderson Power Poles on the battery and the power cord. That way you cannot get the polarity wrong by accident. We use them extensively in amateur radios for powering up radios and other devices. Never a concern of getting the connection wrong. Available on Amazon or most electronic stores. Cheers.
Chet you can put ammonia sulfate in the tanks to prevent algae, I don't remember how much but atleast the sprayer tips didn't plug anymore. Great memories of you teaching Dougo the tricks of scraping. My 6th grade teachers husband worked at Terex and built those big scrapers in Cleveland Ohio
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Good job Dougo learning the scraper technology hooked to the infra red gadget. Probably a real learning curve there but knowing Dougo he will get it. I know nothing about those infra red eye systems but everyone says they are very accurate. Good show Dougo!!!!!! Glad your black beans are done and harvested and taken to town. Thanks Randy. Cleaning chemical tanks is not a fun job. Your battery powered vac looks pretty high powered. Neat machine. Let us know how it works please. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Chet and the crew. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Great looking old pan as we call them in Maryland. That sure is some black dirt that looks hard to work if wet. But you guys are a class act and seem to get it done. Love your videos.
I used one of those tanks in the basement of my cabin for a fresh water holding tank. It was a pain climbing into it to vacuum it out as well. Then I started using an eight foot piece of black 1 1/2” pvc plumbing pipe between the wand and the hose on the vacuum. That way you can clean it out without having to enter the tank. I just taped each end with electrical tape to hold it all together.
Enjoyed the video. Chet where did you learn all of the computerized dirt work, very impressive. Great team interaction esp Doug & Chet. You are very blessed not all families get along that well or show respect for each other.
What a work ethic of this team. I've been watching since the very beginning and I got to say this is one of my favorite channels, it's very cool to see just some of the work that goes into keeping the whole operation going, the pride they take not just in the land but the equipment. Great vid as always
Up here at 8,000ft it’s been a hot September and we all whinnied, now after 3+ days of Fallish/Winterish weather we are regretting our earlier whining about the heat! Hope you guys get harvest done before winter weather sets in!
Looks like you guys had a nice productive day and the struggle bus never showed up and threw a monkey wrench in the works. Dougo learning something new proves that old saying about "Old Dogs" learning new tricks isn't always true. Thanks for the entertainment Chet.
You must have water in Minnesota like we have here in Western PA. Red I say some areas around here and a couple of wells in this place you could chew. Don't need to take iron tablets if you drink our water. Glad to see you winterizing we are here too mostly working on Hay equipment right now one last field to bail tomorrow and we'll have that job finished for this year stay safe rest the way through harvest boys talk to you later
Relatively new year channel found you a couple of months ago look forward to every days new videos and all you guys. Love you working with your father I miss that so much take care of him.
The TeRex is horrible.. Twin Detroit diesels while wearing double ear protection and your ears are still ringing for a few hours along with the vibration. Love the Quad Track
In one of your videos you said that RV antifreeze is cheaper in bottles than it was in bulk. Have you tried buying it by the chemical name? RV antifreeze is basically Prophylene glycol with red die in it. I did a google search and found several sites where you can buy a tote for about $2.50 a pound, where the gallon jugs were $5.40 a pound.
Reborn, hahahahaha that's funny. You guys all seem to have a great chemistry working together. It's awesome seeing families and generation family farms working together. Big Swede is family too, we all know that. Keep up the great job and again stay safe during your harvest season. I do think we need to see more of Randy. Maybe he's camera shy. Stay safe everyone.
That shot of the new bins at the beginning when Eric was pulling the head was awesome. And my F250 could deal with pulling that trailer a lot easier. Great video as always.
Best advice ever "Better to pull out a little early then have it stuck in your box." 😉
😂
🤣🤣🤣💯💯🍻
lol i was coming to make the same comment
@@clintonflowers877 great minds think alike 🤓
that's gotta be on a shirt, like just put LF on the front and then a combine and that on the back
Chat and dad work together really well all the time
Another Great Day for Father like Son Antics. Always makes me feel better seeing them two Fellers go at it. Lol 😂
Love watching the father/son relationship, respect, and true friendship Chet and Dougo share!
Me too. Miss my Dad so much!
That moment on minute 16.....it seems so special....
Many people wearing many hats -
makes a brilliant idea … 🎉
nice to see Doug again and his pearls of wisdom …
The most interesting site on RUclips.

Great to see Dougo figuring out the electronics. Having many guys who multitask is a great thing.
I appreciate douggo's acceptance of technology. So many farmers his age refuse to do anything different from 35 years ago.
Swedo & Cheto you both will never change, you will not respect Doug. But that's ok one day you will respect him. Just hope when you both do it ain't to late. Your call Swedo & Cheto.
We love your ramblings Eric!😊
Good morning and y’all have done a good job today
That FORD just keeps going, and going, and going.
Eric, as Ray Charles sang, Ramble on, Ramble on, till your rambling days are gone. Another great video beginning.
Chet you and I are cut from very similar cloth. Ever since I was a child, I am mesmerized but heavy equipment operating.
I was confused when you said the scraper gets jammed, but immediately saw what the problem is. The apron cylinders aren't even close to correct and the apron can only open halfway. It would be worth redoing the apron hydraulics Considering the bail arm seems to be gone, you would probably need to pattern parts off a properly converted pan at this point. Got it, the can pan has a missing bail arm on the apron, correct?
The best RUclips video ever. Such great content and like Chet I could watch machinery work all day. I would love to drive all the machinery they have. Trucks, tractors, Combines, scrappers behind tractors, gosh even Morty the floor clearner

13:36 that look!! 😂🤣😂🤣 we’ve all been there.
Gonna have to hit the steel barn for some side board material for the scraper. Doug is a man on a mission, more capacity, more cut time. I think I heard him say, "We Don"t Mess Around".
Nothing better then sitting in grain cart watching Larson farms
Hello from hurricane ravaged Sarasota Florida
I miss farming with my father thank you for sharing your time with us
10:30 one of my 3d scanners uses the same tripod.
That claas colored dodge gives me some old memories. If only she was a one ton.
Chet’s “green pea”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Big Swede, you break me up.
Good video Dougo did a good job with the technology he’ll have it figured out but the end of the year.
Hello from Saskatchewan, Canada great videos thanks for sharing
Eric, I think if Chet tied on to that head trailer, with that big Mopar, you'd have to use a tongue shrinker to un-stretch the hitch on that trailer. Chuckling in Indiana. Another interesting episode. Thanks all!
Always enjoy seeing Dougo out in the field! 🚜
Y'ALL are a great team!
I enjoy your scraper videos!! Iv done scraper/dirt work all my life!! We run the topcon GPS system now!! With k-tec 1233 scrapers and case 620s!!
So you can teach an old dog new tricks, good job Dougo
Love seeing the big toys in use. 🇦🇺
We used a hoe
Very very interesting 😎 just ordered dougos shirt

If dougo can back up gravity wagons he can do anything
I spent a lot of time on the old scrapers.as well as a quad track and scraperbowl..I feel Doug on that struggle bus
Here in upstate NY, the soil that onions are grown on looks very similar. I'm amazed that the sticky soil will come out of the bowl at all. Thanks.
I have many hours experience with that software. I strongly suggest getting some background maps to help you know where to put ditches and (equally important) where to dump dirt. They are a time saver.

Mr. Dougo has it all under control as always!! Nice work Team Larson! Have a Blessed Week!!

Heard of Hartford beach

"that green pea " lol - you guys and your pickups...
I love listening to all the Dougisms

Westin!
After you start teaching Dougo about the operation works, it won’t be calm and quiet again.
Good job Chet teaching an old dog be tricks or in this case new jobs
Pull out early to avoid complications lol. That is certainly a life lesson to live by.

The Iowa farm boy.
Steve.
When you are talking about the camera . . . you should call it "The People" . . . Dougo can hand you the camera and say, "Here, You Show THE PEOPLE".
Great looking old pan as we call them in Maryland. That sure is some black dirt that looks hard to work if wet. But you guys are a class act and seem to get it done. Love your videos.
Haha big swede, nice poke at Chet!
Dougo face at 13:37 is priceless
I died laughing when I saw that. I can only imagine what he was thinking right then
Well there ya have it -- an old dog can learn new tricks.
Thanks for sharing your vid’s with us!
At least Dougo used the real tractor to pull the pan!
Chet Eric Broodie Dougo Randy great job great explanations Eric nice explanations on head hauler thank you.
For Dougo A lot more to learn than his dirt ditch thrower Another great video thanks 👍

Sweet so you're saying Ford tough the only way to totally agree we'll have to get chet on board
Someday when the big Sweed grows up, he can drive a ram too. Js Found on road dead 🤣🤣

"Better to pull out early than to be caught with a load in the box", I wonder if Dougo had a comment when Chet said that !
Not everybody has a dirty mind
You guys need a Ktec 1236 pan scrapper. They are all hydraulic and work well on the quad tracks.
You must have water in Minnesota like we have here in Western PA. Red I say some areas around here and a couple of wells in this place you could chew. Around here we use optisurface to create a leveling plan for the whole field. Saves time and fuel.
That sure is a nice conversion on that 435 CAT scraper.
Love this channle best iv seen and most informative keep it up chet your wife be proud sir god bless you
From the UK 🇬🇧
Relatively new year channel found you a couple of months ago look forward to every days new videos and all you guys. Love you working with your father I miss that so much take care of him.
The TeRex is horrible.. Twin Detroit diesels while wearing double ear protection and your ears are still ringing for a few hours along with the vibration. Love the Quad Track
Tape a broom stick to the hose that should work to where you don’t have to climb in it ..
You could use a reefer trailer with side opening

It' s nice to have interchangeable parts. The video we all want: Randy learning to edit videos 😁
I'm loving this chet. Should go with 2023 f-350 king ranch erik
Reborn, hahahahaha that's funny. You guys all seem to have a great chemistry working together. It's awesome seeing families and generation family farms working together. Randy doesn't want to be on RUclips. He just wants the Equipment demo's.
Watch for scam comments they are here
Such a wide range of things you all have to know!
That shot of the new bins at the beginning when Eric was pulling the head was awesome. And my F250 could deal with pulling that trailer a lot easier. Great video as always.
Big Swede I'll apologize in advance but I have to do this just for you. I had a Ford once but then I got a job.
awesome video guys. thank you so much
memories the green t-rex scrappers being a new hand that was my job fun at first but beat you up in rough dirt.
Hi the Jackson brothers use a big blade type grader thing you should look at it works great
Great video! I really enjoy watching you all!
Gotta check the tires !!!!! Lol that's a 10-100
Love the vids
Awesome to see how you guys work together .
Love Dougo!
Yes! Made my day! 🤘🏻🇺🇸🦅
Haha, love Chet's shirt!
Great video 👍 👍
Busy Busy Busy!!! 👍🏻
