"Why am i so full? Why are you so empty? .....We had a situation" I've been laughing at this exchange and watching Chet's reaction to Brody's "creativity"/cheating tactics :) Thanks for continuing to make amazing content!
You spoiled us today!! Knowledge dumps from Chet AND Eric, drone shots of corn harvest AND the huddle in the truck. The convo's in the truck at the end of a day must be hilarious. You guys are just awesome, thank you so much for sharing your lives with us!
Loved the ending today. The huddle in the truck. I know what that's like. Best part of the night. But imagine it being a regular cab with 4 guys. One had to sit in the bed. That's how one of my nights was like with helping my uncle one day this season.
Yep, same here. Freezing your ass off on the way in. lol! Dad had a 1953 GMC heavy half ton farm truck But feeling like King Kong from a good hard day's work. Young dumb, and full of....well you know. Glory days for me now, at 70. But some of my best memories.
Sit in the back? We could put 7 people in a regular cab and go to lunch in college. It was normal to put a family of 5 and a Border Collie in a 71 C-40. Did it a lot. Nobody rode in the back.
Very important. When I grew up in the 50's we did not calculate losses as they do today. II remember seeing some harvested fields that were as green as a lawn. There must have been ten bushels per acre that spilled over the combine
Y'all have become my favorite farming RUclipsrs out there! The drone shots have been sweet. I like how you can incorporate a lesson in just about everything y'all do. Keep it up.
Chet . I always crack a smile when you get excited about corn harvesting. Any farmer gets it when one has a particular aspect of the lifestyle that wraps up your love for it. Keep catching those sunsets and rises you make mention of. My adult kids still call me at dusk asking if I saw a particular beautiful one if they are near home.
It looks like the future of Larson farms is in good hands with these young men. Never afraid to try new things but then also applying the science to them to make sure they were the right changes and for what reason. Smart moves, and always great entertaining videos. And as always Dougo the comic relief, great to have you too lol 😂 Best wishes to you guys as always😀🇺🇸 and the drone footage is spectacular to watch
Nice crew of men ...harvest coming to an end an every one handled there equipment safely and no costly damage..100 percent alert..my hats off to the crew..
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Love all of you squeezed into the cab of the KW. Cozy. Wow. Getting close to the end of harvest guys. Another day if all goes good. Eric will be glad to have his ground done. Thanks Eric for showing us settings on the grain cart. Was most interesting. You can about get it to do anything. Nice piece of equipment. Brody. Good going filling up Chet’s grain tank on the combine. Oh my. Wow. Dougo folks got lost getting parts. Oh my. Feel for them. Very nice people and glad. To run for parts or whatever. Nice to have them. Chet. Clean out your combine cab. Looks a little untidy. Just giving you a bad time. All for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Chet. Forgot. Thanks for the drone footage. Was really good. Enjoy it when you run the drone. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy.
Thanks Chet for these videos!!! Love the drone ones the best!! Makes me proud to have been a farmer. You are showing the world what farming is all about with the joys and struggles. Harvesting corn was always my favourite!!
Brodie filling up Chet's combine was so awesome. That made my day. I hope you guys have as much fun off the camera as you do on it. Hope you've finished up tillage and cleanup by now. Ray from Dawson
Chet Eric Broodie that was great good explanations on grain cart and field loss you two are getting it down enjoyed it thank you for sharing and your time was awesome never miss a video
So many good parts to this video but my favorites are Brody unloading into Chet's combine & the ending with all 5 of you in the pickup. Hilarious...both!!
I only found your channel a few months ago But I sure enjoy watching and on a cold day here in the Ozarks I spend all day watching your past videos you impress me so much . How times change and the younger guys Really take advantage Of changing and more profit to you. Spent most my life in Nebraska during the fall I would help farmers that I knew get harvest in they just did the same thing all the time never look back just wanted to get it done and be over with probably lost millions of bushes of corn out there..Thanks for the videos. Be safe.
Hey chet you buying your grandparents a struggle bus shirt for Christmas… The funny thing is that Wahpeton is where i was born and raised till i moved to Pittsburgh… kind of hard to get lost in Wahp/Breck area… God bless and stay safe
Have y'all ever thought about starting a program for challenged / at risk or troubled youth? Y'all seem to have such a strong sense of family yet are still about helping everyone succeed. Maybe teach a kid a new way of life, a new path. Learn a skill or trade, how to succeed in life with some really hard work. I just feel that you and your crew have so much to give and share. Y'all are all about work hard play hard. You never know, you just might save a kid's life one day. Just some thoughts from an armchair QB. Rock on, brothers!!
Corn loses water through the leaves, it is absorbed through the roots. That’s why corn plants “pineapple” in the dry to reduce water loss by curling their leaves.
Great to see Brody and Erik moving that corn around in his field. Erik your instagram quote can't always hunt and farm showing your other half holding the cat pretty nice picture. Remember Ernest Hemingway was a big game hunter and sports fisherman in Keywest he had 6 toed cats so keep the cat! Millennial farmer includes the cat now nice video guys.
Loved the drone footage, Chet really appreciate You explaining the mathematics of head loss and what is out there to help control it. I'm not a Farmer but Your videos are a learning experience about the struggles Farmers face day in and day out. You and Your Family and Crew are a joy to watch. Thank You for taking the time to create these videos for Us. God Bless.
You guys should look into a chaser bin or a mother bin. That should help the operation keep flowing. And drivers can fill their own trucks while carters are still going. Just an idea! Great season and video as always.
Excellent video guys , especially how everyone explains everything in depth , its amazing how much technology is in farming now , that is needed due to costs 😀🏴
Love these Harvest Videos, always had an interest in farming, but your videos are much cheaper for me to get the full experience!! Thanks for sharing!!
All of you guys are super awesome. High 5 to Brody on filling Chet with corn, totally epic moment. Videos are awesome. Stay safe and have fun and enjoy the nice weather. 🚜🚜🚜🌽🌽🌽
You should check the geringhoff on the opposite side of the combine of the other combine because some of the kernels on the ground could be coming out the back of the lead combine
You are so lucky, we have 380 or so acres to go here, and its snowing wet snow and no end in sight. Fields getting very muddy. The finish is going to be a grind.
"Why am i so full? Why are you so empty? .....We had a situation" I've been laughing at this exchange and watching Chet's reaction to Brody's "creativity"/cheating tactics :) Thanks for continuing to make amazing content!

Harvest sweep just got a bunch of new customers. This is my favorite part of videos, learning new ways to save money. Thank you for the information.
Look up Yield 360 yield saver brush kit. It’s another option, but they don’t make it for every head.
Do you happen to know which video they put those “harvest sweeps” on

Here in Illinois recently harvested fields are occupied by flocks of geese, and now I see what they are feeding on.
You can celebrate Saturday when you finish. Time to celebrate 🎉. Enjoy, you have all worked hard for this day. 😊

Love the drone footage it’s so great
Chet. I was so glad to hear you use the wording on the corn head as snout and not snoots, like a couple of RUclips farmers on her.
Brodie filling up Chet's combine was so awesome. That made my day. I hope you guys have as much fun off the camera as you do on it. Hope you've finished up tillage and cleanup by now.

The Leafs comes from a dry year because of Drought conditions. A Plant will put out more leafs to try and Absorb more moisture in the air or Rain.
Corn loses water through the leaves, it is absorbed through the roots. That’s why corn plants “pineapple” in the dry to reduce water loss by curling their leaves.
They said all year they had a draught season
Team Larson Farms ! 💪👍🏼

Can we all agree Dougo looks like Tuff Hedemen. The 3x world champ bull rider and best friend of Lane Frost rip.
Lots of education there! I can figure how the head-loss adds up when you're doing many sections in total. Thank you!
Cold and snow coming yall hunker down
You guys crack me up everyday, Great ending, GO WEST!

Really great Chet like the explanation on grain cart and the corn loss, hope you get it resolved.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

That loss is almost $5,000.00 a section (640 acres). Glad to see you have taken steps to mitigate that loss.
