My wife was hesitant about credit cards but when she saw that Princess Tiana Disney Premier Card she had to have it. That was her gateway card so that now she’s my player 2 😂 I consider that 5/24 slot to be an investment

i got my neighbors into the cc game. they started out with the CSP for a good start. laid out plans getting freedom cards and ink cards for some aspirational travel. Just found out his wife went and got the Disney card to pay for a disney trip. i face palmed so hard. ruined the 5/24 plan for basically a one time cash credit

I briefly considered the Disney card, cus I go to Disney a lot, but I got the Delta Platinum with the elevated 80k wb.
There's room for both once you've hit all the regular chase cards you wanted

I have a question. I was interested in the Chase sapphire reserve. However, from watching your video, I am tempted to apply for the Chase Sapphire, preferred to get the higher bonus.
Here is my question: at what point can I product change to a chase sapphire reserve? do I have to wait until the one year mark or would I be able to do it sooner? I am guessing I would need to wait one year.
Have to wait one year to upgrade. Due to the credit card act an issuer isn't allowed to charge a higher fee in year one. Chase would have to charge the higher annual fee if you switched so they can't. Even tho they'd love to.
If you have immediate need for the CSR then it's fine, just get it. If it can wait, then go in branch to get the CSP

@@RJFinancialmeh. not really “elevated”. Same sub but a 2nd tier. Spend xtra $3k is 6 mos and get additional 35k pts. If they waived AF, I’d do it.
If IHG had a real loyalty program to truly benefit ‘elites’ they’d own hoteling.

They probably have a sales goal in mind. I’d guess into mid June. They usually announce when it’s ending soon
