smart of Amex to make these acquisitions. It was nice to reserve the lounge from the app. Would like to see them integrate those apps more.

Agree, especially for the masses who don't mind using a portal or not booking things directly. This could be good for Amex.

I’m hoping to keep my Amex cards as I’m a dedicated Schwab Platinum fan, but waiting to see if they’re going to force me to give up my Gold with more useless crap like Resy. Unless they expand the restaurant selections past overpriced “dining” I may be on the way out. Fingers crossed.

6:43 69.2% APR? While I pay off my cards in full every month, that interest rate looks a bit steep. Was that Amex text AI generated?

@@elitepctech from what I remember they weren’t very good for new signup promos. Some cards would brag they would never have a annual fee or you could signup and get a small gift generally. A few cards had promos worth 200 dollars or so but those were considered high end in that market. It wasn’t worth the hassle as an Expat to sign up for a PI based credit card - everything is multiple forms and ids and get the permission of your barangay - village official. I never had problems using my US visa or MC there.
