She never fails to impress! Her confidence level is amazing! This gives us the closest experience to being at shows we didn't get to see first hand. Loved it!

Children are full of emotion. What's exceptional about Angelina is that she can channel it and express it through a complex adult medium. Essentially, she has genius, in the same way that Alma Deutscher and Emily Bear have genius. This is not simply the genius of performance skill -- many prodigies have that -- but a genius that naturally understands the full range and impact of adult musical construction and how emotion and music are fundamentally linked together. It's a double genius: the genius of performance, and the genius of creating and recreating based on an innate understanding of music. This is why she is so fascinating -- she's disrupts an adult conception that children can't understand music at this level.

@@BlackWolfSpirit Totally agree that Angelina is mesmerizing!. However, must disagree with you on the definition of genius, which is usually associated with an innate and exceptional skill in a particular field, and not specifically related to intelligence per se.

Angelins’ soul and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s soul come from same place ......., and it does not matter where that place is. When I listen to Angelina and Mozart,s music , I feel
they take me to that place, and that place is so amazing. I reconnect from all around me.

Follow her to her wonderfull place of music and heavenly tones. Then, as your comments comes allong with her angelic singing, it is all joy and blessing of my day. Thank you.
I absolutely love this. This is classic Angelina, the angel, doing what she does best. There are two rehearsal video's of her practicing for this show that are spectacular. About 18 minutes, I think, in total and she demonstrates just how professional and focused she is in pursuing and developing her talent. Like you mentioned in another video, you can't tell me that this child is not a prodigy. This was a fifty year old seasoned professional doing what she was born to do. I think that the most mind bending thing I have ever learned about her is that SHE recognized her own talent and wanted to show the world. At THREE YEARS OLD.
And to us her ardent followers, we are still attempting to figure out the Angelina puzzle!

There are other videos of her rehearsing and trying to get the band as she wants the sound for this performance. People talk as if she just does it with ease. Well yes, after plenty of work and vocal preparation...
As far as I remember she had to slow down the orchester at least two times.

Angelina's grandma, an artist, introduced Angelina to old school jazz at a very young age, and I guess she decided that was the real music. smiles.

Hi, like you I adore this pocket sized vocal miracle. Totally a gift for the world to enjoy. PLEASE do a reaction to her singing HOW GREAT THOU ART. I am not a deeply religious person but this is a favourite song of mine and what THE VELVET QUEEN does to it is totally beyond belief. She is astounding.
You asked us 'How?" I used to ask myself that question, time and time again. Then I took the easy way out and decided that the answer is Because it's Angelina". Problem solved :-) Every time I watch and listen to Angelina sing this song, regardless of which performance the second 'You smiled" tears me up.
Looked at your Angelina Playlist to see whether I'd missed any and see that an error has crept in, in that most songs are doubled up :-(
It is true that the TV version of this one is a better recording, but this is probably one of her best vocal deliveries of this song. There is a video of the rehearsal for this performance as well where she runs through the song several times. In the first run the tempo is too fast, and you can see that she is not happy with the sound. She has them slow the tempo for the second run, and it completely changes the sound. BTW: that "one person" in the audience is her grandmother. The Angelina fans will recognize that camerawork. She has a particular style of shooting, that some of us have grown to love. There must be some subconscious connection that those panning, zooming, tilting shots are always accompanied by beautiful sounds ;)

We've all been trying to explain it, so far we got nothing.
I hope she continues to bring the standards and classics back and create originals in those styles. I would hate to hear her voice electronically enhanced like most of the cookie cutter crap today. She doesn't need it with that perfect pitch and voice.
How can she do this? Here is a guess on something that may be part of the answer, but I may be totally wrong: Many kids are recognised to have a early developed left brain (analytics, logic, linear thinking), and for example are great at math. Probably it helps that skills like that are encouraged in society and school. Some kids have an early developed right brain (imagination, feelings, holistic thinking) and are great at arts at an early age. A few kids have both halves of the brain well developed and a superhighway in between. Then they at least have the prerequisites to get great at whatever they are interested in and encouraged to learn. I guess Angelina is very good in school. Someone said in a video that she is very good at math.
My brain is taking a rest from trying to figure out the A.J. puzzle, and climb up on the magic carpet ride she invites us to climb aboard, and just fully enjoy the ride!!!

This version of the song is by Etta James (!) from 1960 and for me, in this recording Angelina, at 8 years of age, makes one of her most beautiful interpretations, which is absolutely not out of place with the original, on the contrary, so full of emotion and vocal warmth to leave completely amazed and enraptured. Orkla is a Norwegian sales company, and this is an award show.
This is another rehearsal in the studio at 10 years old, with guitar and piano solo, it is already very different, just like the great jazz singers, she changes each version of a song

Being sensitive to audio quality you should still listen/view/react to "At Last" version @9yo I suggested in my comment about "Feeling Good" 'cause is a much better audio quality (day and night, compared) and you can then appreciate Angelina's performances which is also far away from the one you react here seen the charity objective for which her interpretation is more intense; here it is again: ruclips.net/video/819bQ9I-T-g/видео.html
It should have been "a bad" 😉 performance/day for Angelina, where she was hoarse, during a call show for fund to children charity, always a preoccupation and reason for her appearing barefoot on stage. 😍

Angelina was very ill, but since the concert was for a children’s charity, like the little trooper she is, she came to sing. That’s why her voice is slightly hoarse. She still gave a stunning interpretation, and as usual made it her own.
I have one question? How would you compare Angelina to Judy Garland at any age? I never thought I'd hear or see any young artist that could compare with Judy, but Angelina has something special.
