I'm wishing I didn't buy my 13" back in November, cause for 100 more with the exact same spec, I could've had 15 inches, but my 13 inch does the job perfectly fine
I love the warmth of your videos, the color palette it just gorgeous. Caramel, especially caramel leather, is my favorite color/material. I really want the silver or the starlight version of the 15”!
Excellent video, mate!! The 15" M2 Air version is pretty cool. but I prefer the smaller/lighter form factor of my 13" M2 Air. The 15" Air weighs nearly as much as the 14" MBP M1/M2. When it comes to computers, I like my desktop gaming/work PCs big and powerful and my laptops thin and light.
This - big part of a laptop for me is being able to use in on the lap in lectures/transport/balancing on one hand typing with the other/etc. Will see how it feels but think it will be tough to beat to 13" with scaled resolution.
First time viewer, stumbled onto your content browsing new 15in Air content and you earned a sub! I like the different angle you take (real world) when talking about the device and I am someone who already knows the technical differences between releases so I enjoyed the more real world talking points/gripes. Just got into full stack web-dev myself and thinking ios development would be another cool area to learn. I am currently using an OG 13in M1 MBP and its been a powerhouse, I would suggest ANYONE with an M1/M2 mac product to look into the Minisopuru DisplayLink Docking Station. I have three monitors plugged into my M1 MBP (4k@30hz, 1440p@144hz and a 1080p@60hz) with this dock (it uses DisplayLink) and have my external ssd, keyboard AND PD plugging into my MBP with a single thunderbolt cable because of this dock. Unfortunately using all that the cable doesn't have enough bandwidth (could be using the wrong type of cable though) to also use the gigabit ethernet port on the dock (I have gigabit fibre) at the same time so I use the second thunderbolt port on my MPB to go to a gigabit ethernet adapter to avoid any wifi issues as I live in a very populated apartment. The dock is a little pricy BUT it has made my desk setup super clean while giving my three external monitors and if I was willing to just use wifi I would be using in a single thunderbolt port. It is currently $256.89CAD on amazon (dot) ca with an promo $30 coupon. HIGHLY recommend it. Not affiliated with them (reading this myself it feels like an ad lmao) just spreading the word as this should work with the 15in Air as well giving you the ability to have three external displays. Might be worth checking out and making a video about?
Ima wait for the reviews but by the looks of it, im so freaking impressed. The fact apple was able to price this below $1300 is so mindblwoing to me. So much bang for your buck
I'm really looking forward to your more in-depth review as a developer, I don't know if that could handle my workflow as a developer. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
I love the way you deliver your vid bro. Feels like you're just communicating with your audiences directly. Kinda like an asmr coms vid. 😂 I do like the idea of having a 15 inch thin laptop that's easy to bring anywhere. I'm on the same league too, windows for windows dev stuff and mac for ios dev. 😂
I am not really a macOS fan - but in terms of design and quality I just love Apple products! Keep it up Andres! Aesthetically videos are on another level :) (and of course we can get a lot of your insight, which is reallyyy valuable)
itll be enough forsure although right now im wondering if I was to do my distributed systems course again in Java, how well would this behave... 8gb of ram is pushing it sometimes. But for most things web dev related its perfect.
Hie andrez, Loved this unboxing and first look of macbook 15", but also can you share one video on how you are installing the data for programming from drive for every new mac whenever you got new one. Can you share me the process of it.
I'd like see in the future a 15" MacBook Air with the performance of a M-Series Pro chip with a fan-less design. Using Parallels would be great too because there's certain task I do for work that I'd love to use Windows with.
For us Canadians - I am waiting for the buyer for my 16" M1 to show up and order my 14" Max that is refurbished. Save trip to Portugal!! Hope you can do some vlogging.
The biggest problem with the MacBook Air that I feel is the longevity of the device. It’s like can this device run as smooth as it has launched right now. I’m still using the 2015 MacBook Pro 13 inch and that device is built like a tank. The only drawback that what I feel with my current setup its no future software update and the battery replacement issue . If this MacBook Air 15 inch can provide support for like 8 to 10 years. Then it is a must have device for someone who is investing in Apple products for a long term.
Im wondering how many company IT departments already have one or two of these in for some kind of repair, or perhaps a absolute unit of a stack of suddenly broken older models that all had 9 hours of uptime yesterday.
I really wanted one but the price after adding 16gb ram is getting in base MacBook Pro territory so not sure if it’s worth it. I’ll have to watch more videos on this to see if I end up buying it. I currently have a 2020 MacBook Pro 16” base specs and I love it it I’ll need a second laptop soon because I’m sharing with my gf and she’s starting school soon. I use it for video editing + photo editing and daily use, I do love the midnight color! But I also heard after a while it gets messy haha. Solid review! Thanks!
Hello, to do Upscalling Video IA in 1080p or 4K, do you think if is it possible with a MacBook Air M2 full configuration or i have to use a MacBook Pro ? Thanks
Could you please show in your review video what Xcode looks like in the native 2x retina resolution setting (which is the non-default looks-like-1440x932). I imagine this is a very unusual request, but important to devs with aging eyes. A quick 5 second shot would do. Thanks!
Hey Andres, Greetings from india can you tell me about the expected lifespan of laptops like vivobook or any general windows laptop such as msi cybrog one you had reviewed awhile back
Ok, i really want to know how on earth did you that 2:53 assuming that you shot this alone in your studio haha. Well-made video, love the shots and color and the edting!
Same pricing / ram storage issue in the EU At 1600 euros, i am definitely wanting 512 gb ssd / 16gb ram especially given how some stuff can be ram heavy on my m1, I would even say that for this price 32gb should be the norm... But yeah on the refurb I've seen M2 pro mbp at 1800, and it seems like a much better deal at that price... Apple need to fix their pricing / product segmentation. It's expensive, yes, but it's becoming way too much I feel like I wonder if you would review the framework laptop ?
yep, same issue. When I was watching a keynote I thought that 1300 (base) + 400 (16g ram / 512ssd) will get me a nice laptop for ~1700. But then u add on average 20% vat in EU and fraud exchange rates (usd/eur) from apple and you end up with a price >2000 eur for 16/512 model 🥲🥲🥲.
Yeah it sucks :/ I am looking to replace my MBA, for multiple reason, i don't love macos, feel clunky and too protective for me, plus my windows desktop is more powerful
Yeah I know its odd... I agreee. As for the framework laptop, id love too but I gotta review one laptop at the time. At least give myself a month between each unit.
Are you taking online courses at a local community college to learn iOS Development? or are you using online platforms/coding camps like Codecademy to learn it? i'm taking classes at my local college and also using Swift Playgrounds to brush up on the key terms and get a head start on learning it (before my actual classes begin in the fall). Whatever you're using, i'm interested and would like to hear your thoughts on it! Anyways, great video Andres! If I hadn't already bought a 14in M2 MacBook Pro, I would've most definitely gotten the new MacBook Air!
I did graduate in comp sci in university and did a few years in computer & software engineering so its a lot easier for me to re-pick up something. Im learning on RUclips. I also use traversy media a lot for quick refreshes.

Any of you actually thinking of getting one? This is my dream student/software dev laptop lol.
I will be ordering one as i want the bigger screen
I am currently saving up and will be purchasing one before I go back to college!!
Looks great! What spec did Apple send you?
I'm wishing I didn't buy my 13" back in November, cause for 100 more with the exact same spec, I could've had 15 inches, but my 13 inch does the job perfectly fine
should I Buy Macbook Pro 2022 13inch Or This One ?

Also, your couch is just perfection 🥵
Thank you so much I appreciate it ! Hahah im also a silver type of person!
GAWD DAMN THE DIFFERENT CAMERA ANGLES FOR THIS UNBOXING! You’ve earned a sub! Good stuff man
Im currently on a Review streak and I have to say.. what a beautiful studio! And great editing!
Probably took him like 3 hours making the short videos, too much effort 😩

I am watching your video for the first time and man your camera angles and videography is so rich man. Keep it up!
I love the setup the orange, white, black theme is nice and everything looks simplisitic.

Yeah, sadly apple products are value for money only in US
Here is Bangladesh, 15" m2 air is around 1600$
@@Silent_poet Yeah same in Norway, stock version 1800$ here... Not so much "bang for buck" really:/ Still want it tho
@@Silent_poet yep, in Brazil too, it's almost 3200 dollars. Ridiculous
love that you mentioned the LG gram! I own the m2 air in space gray, and it’s nice to know that the gram is thinner than the new 15 inch.
lg gram 14 has 16.5mm, air 15 - 11.5mm, lg is not thinner 🤔
@@nitnice962 oh ok. Thanks for the info! Still pretty thin!
your videos have really good cinematography onto it!

I remember Andres being sad about not being invited to the apple event and not getting the Last edition of macbooks to review. The tears were real 😂
You're edits are topnotch. ❤
Wow, such a beautiful color this is extremely powerful machine. I would love to welcome this in my day-to-day life by the way thanks for unboxing man.
