Well it wasn't my exact FIRST! But, it's where I started playing like an actual player and not a button masher, so I can relate. Rough welcome indeed. It's a shame I am not so kind to new players myself. Edit: my first run in was Sf2. I'm not sure if it was new challengers or champions edition though. I am sorta confident it's new challengers.
Extremelllly helpful now that 30th is out. Wish I could find out more on cancelling, and things for each character, but you’d be surprised how little comprehensive info is gathered for this game
Yeah this video is a waste of everybody's time just shows you basic inputs doesn't explain the utility of any of it and ex is special move with any two attacks Zoe X Fireball would be quarter Circle and two punches
It should be mentioned that certain attacks that hit in very fast succession doesn't require a parry for each hit. For instance if you parry Twelve's X.NDL up close, your character might shuffle and parry the rest of the super art depending on how close you are and the size of your parry box.
hey man !! great vid, do you perhaps have vids that explain spacing, poking and zoning and the use of normal's and how to use them effectively and how to be effective when the game is going in to a neutral state which is where the spacing and normal's play a big part until you create a setup for rush-downs to take place and lastly thanks for sharing your knowledge.
+Tazzybakes :)) This is a basic guide. I leave that for the more advanced players. I game more than one series and it's hard to be great at all of them with all the characters.
+Tazzybakes This video was a lot of fun to make. I am glad that you like it. Perhaps you should read the description if you want to find out more stuff like each character's Kara Throw.
@@tonitoniversus I do but I get it Like Ryu did a Shakenstu Hadouken EX Hadouken and i can't parry the second hit I press forward at the exact time but still get a hit 😖
And L1 and L2 are PPP and KKK respectively, if it's Super Street Fighter IV we're talking about...Try switching LP to L1 and LK to R1 and MP to L2 and MK to R2, it's what I'd do. I'd also set X to PPP, Square HP, Triangle HK and Circle KKK.
É só apertar dois botões ao mesmo tempo. Por exemplo, quando fizer Hadouken ao invés de apertar apenas LP, aperta LP+MP que a fireball muda de azul pra amarela.
Uhh, by arcade perfect do you mean the actual arcade? All the ROMs i found look jaggy and have the sound distorted. Gotta wait for the 30th anniversary edition then.

This was my first SF game.
What a rough welcoming.

@@tommiedavis2481 Super turbo is probably my least favorite along with SF1.

But then every other fighting game seems easy in comparison.
Boy you should try playing a SF1 arcade cab and see how that works.
I can't believe I didn't know you could high jump in this
I had no idea red parrys and kara throws were a thing. Haven't played 3rd Strike in ten years. Haha

Yusof Nazari most info is by word of mouth and experience. If you have specific questions its best to just ask
But how do I do ex? I'm looking at the guide its just the normal imput
Go to game FAQs or Shoryuken forum for info
Seriously, finding resources SUCKS.

2:24 Excelent! I'm ready to be The Next Daigo!!!!
Haha yea me too lol XD
We can moment #37 ourselves to the top.
This is a guide for absolute beginners, thank you.
Most well put together fighting game guide, never been able to say that before, but wow! gj
You take more damage when crouching. Some moves even recover in the crouch position. Example: Sean whiffed / blocked tackle / SAIII / tatsu

Parrying for me is the most essential thing.Even if your lifebar is just as thin as your hair, you could survive.
This is greatly appreciated, still having a tough time with 3rd strike but I love it. I will master it
Thank you so much for making this. If you search for videos like this, so many of them aren't helpful at all for those new to 3S.
Im getting into 3rd strike now XD. Nice tutorial, i didnt really know how parrying worked. thanks
+Gem Network Twilight Great, so happy you learned something from it. :3
Thanks for the ground recovery.
Glad I saw this; needed to figure out how specials worked in the game, aside from just the motions. I've been too slow on the button input, it seems.
I didn't know high jumping was a thing. Ty!
I definitely struggled. I mean I complete the arcade mode three times now but I still only manage to get ES or D's so this is helpful
Parry as much as possible.... anything over 10-12 parries is a B or A rank
This music slaps

Thanks for making this
I bought for the dreamcast when it first came out and still have that version along with the xbox one and switch versions.
But I still don't know what button I have to click for the EX
If you already know, please tell me. I also want to learn it
Any two Punch or Kick buttons at the same time guys, make sure you have Super Art gauge filled up.
@@tonitoniversus Thanks. I must say it was pretty absurd not to say it on the video, it was really annoying because I came here looking for that info.
How do you do ex versions for attacks I can't find any guides
Just press any two Punch, or Kick buttons depending on the attack.
Oh, thanks
@@tonitoniversus It still doesn't work for me.
@@favoritecandy9261 it's precise. It's kinda annoying how precise it is tbh
@@Solipsismreal Thanks, and now Update: I think I've mastered it.
Great video. 🙌
Great video, music name please
I can't remember the name sadly. Maybe someone else knows.
How do you roll??

you da man
Me watching the tutorial for the arcade machine at the hotel😊
i can never really understand the cancelling in SF

Some moves are cancelable, other arent.
@@IcedOften
I keep trying to chain normals like it's Guilty Gear, haha.
Came here to learn how to parry 😂😂😂
What's the timing on Chun-li's jump cancel on Super Art II? Is it like a 1 frame window? Because I cannot find that timing.
Shortly after the final kick lands.
Hey man, great video. trying to get in to this game. What is the name of the song used in the video?
Apologies, can't remember. Something from YT Library.
@@tonitoniversus ok, either way, great video
I found it, Drop It - Topher Mohr and Alex Elena
Dropt It - Silent Partner
why this shit dont work with me? 4:17
i press for down but the character dont do that " fast wake up "
Tap it
@@tonitoniversus oh ok xd
I cant throw backwards from the left side but I could throw from the right side pls help
I think you're not pressing all the buttons at the same time for a back throw.
dude directional throws are not working please help
Just Light Punch + Light Kick near opponent.
How do I perform hiza geri with the maximum hits (Ken's rapid neutral throw) like I've been trying to figure it out
Tap the buttons rapidly.
DrewTony'Z you mean the grab input?
No, I think you need to mash all the buttons and the directions as well.
DrewTony'Z ah, I see. thanks!
Yellow ex I can't do it. Red parry too.
How do I get faster hits on throws with ken and yang/yun's knee bash. I see it all the time but I can find out how to do it.
+Hench Cat Button mash?
I think it's the directional inputs that makes it work.
Mash buttons and rotate movement for more hits.
Correction. Everyone mash on the directions, Urien and Gill neck squeeze mash punches specifically.
Ainda não entendi como fazer o ground recovery
How do I parry multiple hits like Shinku Hadouken
I can only manage to parry only one hit on Shinku Hadouken and get the whole rest
☹️
Press forward again and time the second hit. Usually, it's much easier.

Like Ryu did a Shakenstu Hadouken
EX Hadouken and i can't parry the second hit
I press forward at the exact time but still get a hit

Which is the most optimal configuration for a ps4 controller to play ssf?

How do I use a controller for this?
Using a pc btw
Should be found in the game's options.
what does lp mp hp whatever mean because i pllay on xbox one
Check the description for that.

For Example , -> + (HP+HK) ??
Just -> for standing mid-high and aerial attacks.
how do i preform ex moves?

Was this recorded from an emulator?
It's the Arcade perfect version.
Uhh, by arcade perfect do you mean the actual arcade? All the ROMs i found look jaggy and have the sound distorted. Gotta wait for the 30th anniversary edition then.
That's the perfect solution, I'm sure it'll be well optimized. I'll get it as well.
