What a tournament. MOV couldn't have gotten this far without Elena. But Issei kept getting himself back in the game! And what an insane set of games to close things out, classic Yun vs Chun 3rd strike, the crowd going nuts, clutch plays, parries, reads, I had no idea which way this was going to go. Bring back 3rd Strike for EVO 2025.

Id rather a game with room for a developing meta and updates than a game with a solved meta and practically 0 character variety. It's actually a miracle it wasn't just chun and yun this top 8 in evo since it was literally just that last evo japan 2 months ago. And even then, mov had to switch off Elena because at the end of the day, the two top tiers wipe their ass with every character

Issei had that super momentum, i was actually thinking how KO vs Daigo set was insane but this was pretty close, its really hard to overcome losers bracket, and MOV has the SBO experience Top 6 was Amazing
It was a weird call to not use her given that he bodied issei with her already but think he just really didn't want to mess things up, would've been hype though and definitely felt possible
If they release a balanced third strike it will happen.

I love how third strike isn't constantly combo based compared to sf6 that you always have to combo if hit. I love sf6, but I hope that they bring this element back for sf7.

Hype gameplay focused on good footsies and neutral allow newer less experienced fighters have a great time whether it’s band for band or hyper combos the game is hype
The music and presentation is amazing cheesy 90’s hip hop/breakcore + masterclass sprite artwork make a god tier art style

Such a shame that character balance is the only thing that prevented 3s from being the undisputed GOAT of fighting games. It was ahead of its time, but one final balance tweak would have been amazing.
