- LEGO Speedrunning has some strange categories. LEGO Star Wars has GONK percent, LEGO Batman and a few other games have 1 million stud categories, but there's a few more that stand out from the rest, and we're gonna tackle them TODAY!

I liked the part when the gonk droid said "it's gonking time" then prevented order 66 before vsync warping into the stormtroopers hot tub.

Here’s an idea: Youngling%. Unlock either episode 2 or 3 Anakin, or Darth Vader, and kill young Boba or young Anakin in the Cantina.

Challenge idea: Try beating any lego game while having one controller conrol both players simultaniously, so they move the same way, jump at the same time, ect. The games don't let you do that as far as I know, so you'd need some kind of mod or bypass. I'd really like to see someone try this, as well as try it for myself if you do find a way to make it work.
(Alternative similar idea: Play 2 different games simultaniously, but one controller's connected to both of them.)

the soft lock is specifically limited to only the co-op version of LEGO city i see, so scratch off the WiiU version of the game

He was exited about a 53 softlock% that wasnt even a softlock% the only hard part of that run is that frame perfect pause dude
there's something i love about old games, lego games are the types of games to give me nostalgia
We need more Lego City Undercover videos, that game has some great and fun glitches.
Is Purple Stud% a run that could be done? This is like the only channel I watch seen runs of so I have no clue what other runs there could be.

The LCU community has an official Purple% category, where the run is to simply collect a purple stud as fast as possible. I can send a link to the board if you are interested.

Love all of your videos, and this is another great one! My son and I are playing through all the games together and having a three year old have to do puzzels made me wonder how many games (if any) could be completed without switching characters, or minimum character swaps at least

2nd of all you did not do softlock% you just warped in there. The softlock part happens when you pause the game the same frame the game wants to put you back outside of that little fence. Then the game is actually softlocked and you have to restart it.

As the top moderator of LCU I just wanted to post a comment about the Softlock% run you had. That was not a softlock, and I would’ve rejected the run if it was submitted onto the boards.
The reason why, as other runners have pointed out, a softlock works at that part of the docks is because we have to *pause the game* as we are about to hit the trigger (which just warps the player(s) back). When that happens, the game gets confused as it’s doing two things at once because of the trigger and the pause screen turns into a permanent black screen that you cannot get out of it aside from turning off the game. All that happened in your run was you hitting the trigger and being placed back a few places from the docks. Since you didn’t pause the game, you didn’t confuse the game into having a black screen permanently, and as such you could’ve easily still been able to move after stopping the timer, therefore not counting as a softlock, making the run invalid.
I do not mean to be rude in any way, I just wanted to inform you about the attempt that some others commented on, with full detail. I also personally feel like another category from the LCU CE boards would’ve been a better choice, not sure which one.
You could do a any % speed run of saving all the citizens in peril in lego batman 1

I don't understand this speed running stuff apparently. I thought it was just to do it as fast as possible. So why not attack the droids, and why do you keep resetting when you die?

Challenge idea: Hello There %. Get to the point In the game where the hello there line would be.
I don't know how the glitch works, but I encountered a glitch in Lego Indiana Jones 2 where both players spawn as actual vehicles in the Shang-Hai vehicle level. I've only seen it in one video (I think they got the glitch in the Raiders vehicle level), so I don't know if it's RNG based or some other kind of trigger...
But I'd love to learn how it works and see a "Bike% Speedrun."

i wouldnt bother with punch a nazi %, it became too easy after 2015 when having a disagreement with Satipo meant you could just punch him at the start of the level.
