This isn’t even the same maneuver. The SU35 is performing a kulbit, demonstrating its high instantaneous turn rate. The F22 is demonstrating its post stall control by pitching up to bleed off speed and stall the plane before using the rudders and elevators to rotate the plane despite a high degree angle of attack and the low speed. The nose is pointed horizontally but the plane is in a steep descending pattern.
Bear in mind, the F22's maneuver is called "Mongo Flip", and it was designed specifically by the USAF to demonstrate the F22's post-stall capabilities. Sukhoi's is the Kulbit, not the F22.
a real Kulbit is done in the horizontal, and just like in this video, ive only seen the F-22 do a sort of Kulbit in the vertical. besides that both the Cobra and the Kulbit were invented on the normal Su-27A/B without thrust vectoring, and there still is no western jet, that can do a full Cobra or Kulbit without the use of vectored thrust. this is because the Su-27 and Mig-29 airframe have been optimized to generate equal lift on both sides of the airframe, even post stall. western aircraft are not symmetrical with their broken airflow distribution. which causes one wing to roll down. and the nose to point down as well if it maintains a post stall manoeuvre, the Su-27 and Mig-29 are specifically designed not to have this problem. which is why both of them can do a full 110-120 degree Cobra and a full horizontal 360 degree Kulbit without vectored thrust.
@@doctorkronos4964 if so, then the pilot that first did it should have named his manouver. he did not, so now the Cobra is universally know as "Pugachev's Cobra" which is defined by going nose up more then 110 degree's. something the draken can not do. in the draken they also invented it to recover from deep stalls "or super stalls" which is quite different from doing it in normal flight. the cobra as we know it today was invented by Igor Volk, in a bog standard Mig-29A and later refined in a Su-27B and then shown off at LeBourget Paris Airshow in 1989 where it gained international recognition the pilot that flew the airshow was Viktor Pugachev, the first pilot Igor Volk, says he was inspired by Egyptian Pilots doing high angle of attack stuff in the Mig-21 during the early 70's, he then started trying it out on the Mig-29 during that planes initial test flights and found that it would nose up even more then the Mig-21. then the Su-27 came along, and it did it even better then the mig-29.

However, that doesn't mean it was his invention, as Drakens already performed cobra maneuvers in the late 50s. Only thing I wanted to express was the fact that the J35D was the first ever jet to pull it off (not the Pugachev's cobra of 110+, but was able to do a cobra of 90). Even before Pogachev, there was another Soviet pilot (Igor Volk) that pulled off the cobra (90 here too). The Soviets and Russians can rightfully claim that they are the first (and only one as far as I know) to pull off Pugachev's Cobra of 110+, but they aren't the first ones to do the original cobra before the maneuver was publicly known. Didn't mean to discredit Pogachev or the soviet/Russians jets and pilots in any way. Apologies if that was how you interpreted it.
Idk about speed frames but approaches are completely different. F-22 is going vertical at very low speed and does ~300° turn while SU-35 moves horizontally at high speed and does 360° turn. So making fun of Ruskies is not on point!
This video is hilarious in that the person who posted it doesn’t realize that between these two videos, the SU-35’s performance exceeded the F-22’s. Yes the Raptor turned sharper, but you can tell during the freeze-frame that the pilot has very little control over his/her aircraft at the moment. The Flanker on the other hand is in full control and ready to execute whatever maneuver is next on the roster. The F-22 still has to recover from the stall before it can maneuver properly.

After watching a whole series of these maneuvers it seems that the F-22 is capable of wilder angles and more stall time for sure. I think as far as the angles capable of being produced the F-22 is undoubtedly the champion. However, from every video I studied, it seems equally unquestionable that the SU-35 has more control within the maneuvers than the F-22 Raptor does. It seems to regain control and launch back to speed far more quickly. In the middle of the maneuvers it looks like the pilot is more in control the entire time than the F-22 pilot is. The SU-35 exits the maneuvers far more quickly and is entering into a completely new maneuver seemingly before the F-22 has even regained control of the stall. Now I'm not about to pretend I know anything at all about this subject. For all I know the pilots flying the F-22 Raptors in the videos I watched may have been purposely stalling for longer. But it does seem from the moment you can visually detect the plane exiting the maneuver until the time it's back into a normal flight pattern is longer with the F-22 than the SU-35. So I don't know the first thing about fighter jets and I'm not about to pretend otherwise. I don't know what capabilities between the two planes the average fighter pilot would prefer. But if my observations are indeed correct, than other things being equal, it would seem to me the ability to regain control in a stall and get back up to high speed would be more valuable than being capable of maintaining a maneuver for longer at sharper angles. But again that's spoken as a civilian with no training in what to look for. It's just an untrained eye and a my limited ability to assess what I imagine to be more valuable in the context of a dog fight or similar scenarios. Anyone is more than welcome to correct me if any of my conclusions are based on a false understanding of this comparison. I'd rather be wrong and learn something new than be right and learn nothing.
You are not really wrong, I just don't get why this much stupid people trying to make one look way better than another, in an air to air fight you won't see neither of those trying anything of the kind, if they do its really over for them, you slow down your plane is facing completely upwards so the surface your enemy is gonna be able to shot will be bigger and its just gonna make the dumbass pulling that manouver die in the fireball the plane is gonna turn into.
At the end of the day the F-22 is stealthy and the Su-35 is not, so it doesn't really matter that much. By the time the F-22 is within visual range, it has already fired its missile and is out of there. Meanwhile, the Su-35 can't even use guided missiles against the F-22, because it has countermeasures against both infrared and radar guided missiles so strong that it would take a volley of air-to-air missiles from multiple Su-35s all locking on properly to take it down.
The Raptor is losing more speed in its maneuver and in a dogfight speed is life. That said I think both aircraft are impressive for being able to execute that kind of maneuver at all.

The raptor has a 1.25 PTWR (Power to weight ratio). It doesnt care about bleeding speed, because it will gain most if not all of it in nearly the same time it bled it.

This is a really poor comparison. What is the air temperature ? Must be the same to be a relevant comparison. What is the air humidity ? Must be the same to be relevant. What is the configuration of both planes .How much fuel .The skill of the pilot. Are both of the pilots trying to do the maneuver as quick as possible ? Because i've seen Su 35 do this quite faster than this at airshows. Also doesn't look to be the same maneuver but two variations . The newest su fighters have thrust vectoring on multiple axes and the f22 just one.Not to mention the new su 57 . I've also seen a f22 beaten by an old rafale in a dogfight . F22 has other advantages vs russian jets but not turnfighting .
You must assume that both pilots represent the top of the pyramid and both are pushing the machine to the outside of the envelope. Otherwise there is no point to any comparison of any kind.
Both planes are 20m long, the Su35 appears to be twice as large as the f22 in this comparison, meaning the su35 is more frame centered because it was moving slower, the F22 was flying faster and stalled, Kulbit has constant timing, while the su35 turn was constant, the f22 went into a deceleration and then an acceleration. So not only the su35 was turning tighter and completely round, it also wasn't stalled. I call bullshit american bias on this video.

And the reason why he is humiliating himself lies in the fact that F-22 can`t and had never done Kulbit maneuver on public display. What we actually see in this meaningless video are two different maneuvers (he is doing that very often). Su-35S is performing Kulbit maneuver, but the F-22 is doing high angle of attack loop. The difference between the two is huge!. The loop is just the loop and in this case it is performed at close to 60° AoA. (at the end of the video we can see considerable amount of side-slip, not the good thing at all) During the Kulbit maneuver the Su-35S is going forward (relative to the wind) and at the same time it is rotating around its center of gravity (CG). At one moment the plane is actually flying backwards (technically speaking that would be 180° AoA). The maneuver has no meaningful combat value, but it is done to present the controlability of the plane in most difficult situations. So once again, he is just humiliating himself in the eyes of the people who know the thing or two about planes (I hope I did it right this time, English is not my mother language :D) again, no Ruskie`s got embarrassed ;) The only fanboy here is mister Yves Dulac !
I've seen the F22 do a Fish Hook turn in after burner, or in regular flight and much faster change directions that what we've seen here or for the comparison with the Su 35. Just type it in.
Turned more angle isn't what defines kulbit. Kulbit is about controllability on low speed the F-22 cannot even match the Pugachev Cobra. A real cobra is 120° which only everdone by SU-30 and MIG-29OVT, the F-22 Only capable of 90°.
F-22 turned more angle and maybe will turn 3 more times, because the pilot will need to recover from that flat stall. In other hand, Su-35 achieved a smooth linear fight almost right after the maneuver end

The f22 are designed not to fly like any other aircraft . It will not be allowed to return in a straight line pattern like other aircraft do. The pilot maneuvers it constantly . It flies always in an angle .

You would never use this maneuver in combat. Killing your forward momentum like that is just begging to die. Note that it took 15 seconds to complete that maneuver... In 15 seconds, an AIM-9 or R-73 can cover 12+ km, and an AMRAAM or R-27 could cover 15-20 km. The only potential combat use for such a maneuver would be to get a snapshot off with a close-range missile like the AIM9 or R73, but doing so guarantees that the missile already in the air running you down will catch you.
By doing that manouver in a fight you have to be at a relatively slow speed wich is probably not gonna happen, second, if you pull that move in a real fight you are seriously stupid, at the point that your plane is facing upwards you start to see the plane's full surface, wich is enormous, and the other pilot is going to make of your plane a fireball at that point, it's just to show off and there's nothing bad in it, but you gotta understand that those manouvers are not reliable and efficient, it's really just a way to make yourself see fire closer than ever, and dying. In the case I explained the planes are medium distance away from each other, if they are closer to each other let's say 30 meters of distance by the time the plane in front finishes the manouver the other plane is in yet in the other side of the world. So it's not efficient in any case that you can imagine.

@ Because think of it this way. The Russian fighters were now very close to the bombers the F-22s were intercepting. The raptors actually were firing warning flares to the Su-25s, and the Su-35s then had their radars lit up. However the Su-25s that had been intercepted already told the Su-35s what was going on anyway, so Su-35 didn’t just “detect” F-22. If you look up the “picture” that the Russians use to defend this claim it’s pretty funny actually, because firstly it’s obviously a YF-22, and secondly the Su-35 was either really close to capture the ground with the F-22 like that, or it was in the stratosphere.

I would like to point out the fact that this isn't the F-22's full AOA neither it's full capabilities, American pilots are only allowed to show the F-22's capabilities to an extent at airshows. This can even cause bad habits for these pilots and requires further training to make sure the pilots use the F-22's full capabilities in actual combat later.

A tight loop such as a kulbit means you also remain within the azimuth of an AIM-120 or within the seeker of a Sidewinder coming to you at Mach speed. This maneuver is not suitable for dodging an incoming missile. However it is useful for evading air to air gun fire... that is if you and the aircraft can react by the time the bullet leaves the vulcan gun of the enemy aircraft.

None of this matters in a modern fight. The Raptor would kill the Su-35 before it could ever even see it on radar. Dogfights don't exist in modern jet combat.
After ww2 Americans came to a conclusion that in 9 out of 10 cases the tank gunfights were won by the crew that saw their enemy first, aimed first, shot first. Even a 75mmm HE shell fired from the M4 Sherman tank induced sufficient shock on the enemy tankers who's tank had just been hit, which gave their adversaries further advantage in reloading the gun with AP shell and finishing the enemy tank. American tanks were not at all as bad as people sometimes think. But, wait a moment, the video is about an aircrafts, not tanks...Yes. All the stealth advertisement campaign is based on the presumption that people can't distinguish between a tank and an aircraft. Am I drunk or insane? I hope I am not. But AP shell travels seconds at max before it hits the target. On the other hand, when you launch an AA missile from beyond the reach of enemy radar as well as other enemy detectors ( naked eye, IR, etc. ) it has to travel maybe 50, maybe 100 km before it can hit the target. That gives the enemy enough time to react. In both Gulf wars U.S. pilots sometimes outmaneuvered several Iraqi surface to air missiles at once. In their F15s. And they succesfully did it, even though they had much less time to react, because the missiles were being launched from the ground so the distance was much shorter. Once F22 pilot launches his AA missile, his aircraft is no more stealthy. The missile simply has an engine, that produces warmth. And then, after the Russian pilot easily outmaneuvres all F22's missiles - Why shouldn't he? American pilots can do it in worse planes under worse conditions. - it's a time for a dogfight. Russian pilots have been never taught the nonsensical theory about dogfights being outdated. The F-22 is more comparable to the su-37 when it comes to comparing maneuverability which does that maneuver much faster. However, though the Su-37 can do that maneuver faster, that is not what matters most. If the su-37 did that maneuver to the f-15, it would die. After the maneuver is complete, you still need to maneuver the plan to a missle lock. My the Su-37 is back up to speed to start turning and stop falling, it has been locked onto.

No. The point of the maneuver is to specifically bleed airspeed to make the attacker i.e the guy who is chasing you to overshoot and end up in front of you. In practice it's rarelyuseful.
The Su-35 or any Flanker loses all of its energy once it pulls a Cobra or Kulbit, in the F-22, however, it has the power to main gain its energy after such maneuvers. F-22 can perform those two maneuvers, it’s just that it looks different because of how they were built.

The point of the kilobit is not how fast it's done. It's about the amount of time the aircraft spend travelling in theoretical the wrong direction. This is where non Russian aircraft struggle. I've seen raptors doing Cobras and kulbits but they are very rare and are rather rushed and quick. Russian Cobras and kulbits are two a penny and are far nicer to look at as they are slow and show the length of time the aircraft can happily spend in awkward manoeuvres. The slower the kulbits, the better. The slower the cobra the better. Simply flipping the aircraft quickly with your vector thrust means very little. Also, doing it at the top of a climb shouldn't really count. The aircraft should be flying straight and level. Ironically I think the person that uploaded this video is the fanboy. One of Americas great flaws is assuming everything is the best because it's American. The F-35 flying Turkey is the most expensive waste of time man has seen but America won't see it that way. You can probably buy 3 SU-57s for the price of one flying Turkey and one 57 would probably knock it out the sky, never mind three. One last thing. Why is it only the latest US aircraft that can kind of do Cobras and kulbits when the flanker was doing it 30 years ago. Surely should tell you something.

This isn’t even the same maneuver. The SU35 is performing a kulbit, demonstrating its high instantaneous turn rate. The F22 is demonstrating its post stall control by pitching up to bleed off speed and stall the plane before using the rudders and elevators to rotate the plane despite a high degree angle of attack and the low speed. The nose is pointed horizontally but the plane is in a steep descending pattern.

Bear in mind, the F22's maneuver is called "Mongo Flip", and it was designed specifically by the USAF to demonstrate the F22's post-stall capabilities. Sukhoi's is the Kulbit, not the F22.
a real Kulbit is done in the horizontal, and just like in this video, ive only seen the F-22 do a sort of Kulbit in the vertical. besides that both the Cobra and the Kulbit were invented on the normal Su-27A/B without thrust vectoring, and there still is no western jet, that can do a full Cobra or Kulbit without the use of vectored thrust.
this is because the Su-27 and Mig-29 airframe have been optimized to generate equal lift on both sides of the airframe, even post stall.
western aircraft are not symmetrical with their broken airflow distribution. which causes one wing to roll down. and the nose to point down as well if it maintains a post stall manoeuvre, the Su-27 and Mig-29 are specifically designed not to have this problem. which is why both of them can do a full 110-120 degree Cobra and a full horizontal 360 degree Kulbit without vectored thrust.

in the draken they also invented it to recover from deep stalls "or super stalls" which is quite different from doing it in normal flight.
the cobra as we know it today was invented by Igor Volk, in a bog standard Mig-29A and later refined in a Su-27B and then shown off at LeBourget Paris Airshow in 1989 where it gained international recognition the pilot that flew the airshow was Viktor Pugachev, the first pilot Igor Volk, says he was inspired by Egyptian Pilots doing high angle of attack stuff in the Mig-21 during the early 70's, he then started trying it out on the Mig-29 during that planes initial test flights and found that it would nose up even more then the Mig-21. then the Su-27 came along, and it did it even better then the mig-29.

Idk about speed frames but approaches are completely different. F-22 is going vertical at very low speed and does ~300° turn while SU-35 moves horizontally at high speed and does 360° turn.

This video is hilarious in that the person who posted it doesn’t realize that between these two videos, the SU-35’s performance exceeded the F-22’s. Yes the Raptor turned sharper, but you can tell during the freeze-frame that the pilot has very little control over his/her aircraft at the moment. The Flanker on the other hand is in full control and ready to execute whatever maneuver is next on the roster. The F-22 still has to recover from the stall before it can maneuver properly.
And the F-22 only rotated 270 degrees too. There is a good video of MiG-29 pulling a double kulbit, something I think the F-22 is incapable of.

After watching a whole series of these maneuvers it seems that the F-22 is capable of wilder angles and more stall time for sure. I think as far as the angles capable of being produced the F-22 is undoubtedly the champion.
However, from every video I studied, it seems equally unquestionable that the SU-35 has more control within the maneuvers than the F-22 Raptor does. It seems to regain control and launch back to speed far more quickly. In the middle of the maneuvers it looks like the pilot is more in control the entire time than the F-22 pilot is. The SU-35 exits the maneuvers far more quickly and is entering into a completely new maneuver seemingly before the F-22 has even regained control of the stall.
Now I'm not about to pretend I know anything at all about this subject. For all I know the pilots flying the F-22 Raptors in the videos I watched may have been purposely stalling for longer. But it does seem from the moment you can visually detect the plane exiting the maneuver until the time it's back into a normal flight pattern is longer with the F-22 than the SU-35.
So I don't know the first thing about fighter jets and I'm not about to pretend otherwise. I don't know what capabilities between the two planes the average fighter pilot would prefer. But if my observations are indeed correct, than other things being equal, it would seem to me the ability to regain control in a stall and get back up to high speed would be more valuable than being capable of maintaining a maneuver for longer at sharper angles. But again that's spoken as a civilian with no training in what to look for. It's just an untrained eye and a my limited ability to assess what I imagine to be more valuable in the context of a dog fight or similar scenarios.
Anyone is more than welcome to correct me if any of my conclusions are based on a false understanding of this comparison.

At the end of the day the F-22 is stealthy and the Su-35 is not, so it doesn't really matter that much. By the time the F-22 is within visual range, it has already fired its missile and is out of there. Meanwhile, the Su-35 can't even use guided missiles against the F-22, because it has countermeasures against both infrared and radar guided missiles so strong that it would take a volley of air-to-air missiles from multiple Su-35s all locking on properly to take it down.

The raptor has a 1.25 PTWR (Power to weight ratio). It doesnt care about bleeding speed, because it will gain most if not all of it in nearly the same time it bled it.
And the raptor started the manoeuvre while vertical, meaning it only rotated 270 degrees. Flanker rotated whole 360.

This is a really poor comparison. What is the air temperature ? Must be the same to be a relevant comparison. What is the air humidity ? Must be the same to be relevant.
What is the configuration of both planes .How much fuel .The skill of the pilot. Are both of the pilots trying to do the maneuver as quick as possible ? Because i've seen Su 35 do this quite faster than this at airshows.

You must assume that both pilots represent the top of the pyramid and both are pushing the machine to the outside of the envelope. Otherwise there is no point to any comparison of any kind.
Both planes are 20m long, the Su35 appears to be twice as large as the f22 in this comparison, meaning the su35 is more frame centered because it was moving slower, the F22 was flying faster and stalled, Kulbit has constant timing, while the su35 turn was constant, the f22 went into a deceleration and then an acceleration. So not only the su35 was turning tighter and completely round, it also wasn't stalled. I call bullshit american bias on this video.

What we actually see in this meaningless video are two different maneuvers (he is doing that very often). Su-35S is performing Kulbit maneuver, but the F-22 is doing high angle of attack loop. The difference between the two is huge!.
The loop is just the loop and in this case it is performed at close to 60° AoA. (at the end of the video we can see considerable amount of side-slip, not the good thing at all)
During the Kulbit maneuver the Su-35S is going forward (relative to the wind) and at the same time it is rotating around its center of gravity (CG). At one moment the plane is actually flying backwards (technically speaking that would be 180° AoA). The maneuver has no meaningful combat value, but it is done to present the controlability of the plane in most difficult situations.
So once again, he is just humiliating himself in the eyes of the people who know the thing or two about planes (I hope I did it right this time, English is not my mother language :D) again, no Ruskie`s got embarrassed ;)

Turned more angle isn't what defines kulbit. Kulbit is about controllability on low speed the F-22 cannot even match the Pugachev Cobra. A real cobra is 120° which only everdone by SU-30 and MIG-29OVT, the F-22 Only capable of 90°.

You would never use this maneuver in combat. Killing your forward momentum like that is just begging to die. Note that it took 15 seconds to complete that maneuver... In 15 seconds, an AIM-9 or R-73 can cover 12+ km, and an AMRAAM or R-27 could cover 15-20 km.
The only potential combat use for such a maneuver would be to get a snapshot off with a close-range missile like the AIM9 or R73, but doing so guarantees that the missile already in the air running you down will catch you.
By doing that manouver in a fight you have to be at a relatively slow speed wich is probably not gonna happen, second, if you pull that move in a real fight you are seriously stupid, at the point that your plane is facing upwards you start to see the plane's full surface, wich is enormous, and the other pilot is going to make of your plane a fireball at that point, it's just to show off and there's nothing bad in it, but you gotta understand that those manouvers are not reliable and efficient, it's really just a way to make yourself see fire closer than ever, and dying. In the case I explained the planes are medium distance away from each other, if they are closer to each other let's say 30 meters of distance by the time the plane in front finishes the manouver the other plane is in yet in the other side of the world. So it's not efficient in any case that you can imagine.

The raptors actually were firing warning flares to the Su-25s, and the Su-35s then had their radars lit up. However the Su-25s that had been intercepted already told the Su-35s what was going on anyway, so Su-35 didn’t just “detect” F-22.
If you look up the “picture” that the Russians use to defend this claim it’s pretty funny actually, because firstly it’s obviously a YF-22, and secondly the Su-35 was either really close to capture the ground with the F-22 like that, or it was in the stratosphere.

I would like to point out the fact that this isn't the F-22's full AOA neither it's full capabilities, American pilots are only allowed to show the F-22's capabilities to an extent at airshows. This can even cause bad habits for these pilots and requires further training to make sure the pilots use the F-22's full capabilities in actual combat later.

A tight loop such as a kulbit means you also remain within the azimuth of an AIM-120 or within the seeker of a Sidewinder coming to you at Mach speed. This maneuver is not suitable for dodging an incoming missile. However it is useful for evading air to air gun fire... that is if you and the aircraft can react by the time the bullet leaves the vulcan gun of the enemy aircraft.

None of this matters in a modern fight. The Raptor would kill the Su-35 before it could ever even see it on radar. Dogfights don't exist in modern jet combat.
After ww2 Americans came to a conclusion that in 9 out of 10 cases the tank gunfights were won by the crew that saw their enemy first, aimed first, shot first. Even a 75mmm HE shell fired from the M4 Sherman tank induced sufficient shock on the enemy tankers who's tank had just been hit, which gave their adversaries further advantage in reloading the gun with AP shell and finishing the enemy tank. American tanks were not at all as bad as people sometimes think. But, wait a moment, the video is about an aircrafts, not tanks...Yes. All the stealth advertisement campaign is based on the presumption that people can't distinguish between a tank and an aircraft. Am I drunk or insane? I hope I am not. But AP shell travels seconds at max before it hits the target. On the other hand, when you launch an AA missile from beyond the reach of enemy radar as well as other enemy detectors ( naked eye, IR, etc. ) it has to travel maybe 50, maybe 100 km before it can hit the target. That gives the enemy enough time to react. In both Gulf wars U.S. pilots sometimes outmaneuvered several Iraqi surface to air missiles at once. In their F15s. And they succesfully did it, even though they had much less time to react, because the missiles were being launched from the ground so the distance was much shorter. Once F22 pilot launches his AA missile, his aircraft is no more stealthy. The missile simply has an engine, that produces warmth. And then, after the Russian pilot easily outmaneuvres all F22's missiles - Why shouldn't he? American pilots can do it in worse planes under worse conditions. - it's a time for a dogfight. Russian pilots have been never taught the nonsensical theory about dogfights being outdated. On the other hand, Anericans thought that the era of dogfights is over after ww1, then after ww2, then after Korean war, than at the begining of the Vietnam war ( called American war by Vietnamese )....and then now. And it has always been a complete BS. Btw, large ground radars working in long radio waves can easily see the "invisible" stealth aircrafts. From many hundred kilometrs. The "falling leaf" maneuver is a completely different aerobatics figure and is definitely not performed by their Somersault figures. I will not claim that the F-22 crashed, but the F-22 definitely lost stability, which should not be lost when performing a Somersault figure. PS. The F-22 is more comparable to the su-37 when it comes to comparing maneuverability which does that maneuver much faster. However, though the Su-37 can do that maneuver faster, that is not what matters most. If the su-37 did that maneuver to the f-15, it would die. After the maneuver is complete, you still need to maneuver the plan to a missle lock. My the Su-37 is back up to speed to start turning and stop falling, it has been locked onto.

No. The point of the maneuver is to specifically bleed airspeed to make the attacker i.e the guy who is chasing you to overshoot and end up in front of you. In practice it's rarelyuseful.
this maneuver isn't about energy retention, it's to brake within the same trajectory and get on the six of the enemy instead of doing a cobra

The Su-35 or any Flanker loses all of its energy once it pulls a Cobra or Kulbit, in the F-22, however, it has the power to main gain its energy after such maneuvers.
F-22 can perform those two maneuvers, it’s just that it looks different because of how they were built.

The point of the kilobit is not how fast it's done. It's about the amount of time the aircraft spend travelling in theoretical the wrong direction. This is where non Russian aircraft struggle. I've seen raptors doing Cobras and kulbits but they are very rare and are rather rushed and quick. Russian Cobras and kulbits are two a penny and are far nicer to look at as they are slow and show the length of time the aircraft can happily spend in awkward manoeuvres. The slower the kulbits, the better. The slower the cobra the better. Simply flipping the aircraft quickly with your vector thrust means very little. Also, doing it at the top of a climb shouldn't really count. The aircraft should be flying straight and level.
Ironically I think the person that uploaded this video is the fanboy. One of Americas great flaws is assuming everything is the best because it's American. The F-35 flying Turkey is the most expensive waste of time man has seen but America won't see it that way. You can probably buy 3 SU-57s for the price of one flying Turkey and one 57 would probably knock it out the sky, never mind three.
One last thing. Why is it only the latest US aircraft that can kind of do Cobras and kulbits when the flanker was doing it 30 years ago. Surely should tell you something.
Also going to add that the su in this video is much more controlled and levels off at a nice exit angle. The raptor looks all over the place and less controlled. More just pull the stick back as hard as you can rather than skilled control.

Again, this f-22 was performing a pre-planned maneuver in a air show where it flips in to a falling leaf maneuver. It is not trying to perform a cobra. It can pull a cobra tho. Pugachev’s cobra is an air show gimmick. Not useful in actual combat
