Hey everyone! In this series I play Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 scenarios in OpenRCT2, but I try to make them look beautiful! In this video I show you my playthrough of Diamond Heights, where I redo all of the original rides! Keep watching until the end to take a ride on these remade coasters!

I like how this park essentially ended up as it started, just with better theming.

the mine train block brakes wouldn't work because the end of the lift hill is recognized as a block brake, and the next one would be the block brake at the end of the second lift hill. The train can't duel over the top of the lift hills because the block between the first and second hills would have a train. (sorry im bad at explaining lmao) If you put a block brake on the one flat piece before the second lift hill I think it would make it work
What's weird to me is that the ride simply got stuck.. With 2 trains and 4 block sections, one train should always be able to move!
@@Deurklink did you try lowering the cars? You might have a 6-tile train and it looks like your block section and your station are 5 tiles; then your trains will occupy two blocks even when stopped.
@LoserHands I tried making the trains shorter, but that didn't help.. Trains will still get blocked once they reach the top of the first lift hill.. It remains a mystery for now!
The mystery is solved! I found an accidental extra piece of track at the bottom of the lift hill! Removing that fixes the block brake issue :)

Loving it, but i also would like you to add more rides and complete the park .. even in the others micro-sections. But maybe is for that that you are letting ppl download it, so we can add what we want ahaha

Heya, don't stop doing this, but I would argue that in a way the park you started with had it's charms, ones that the park you ended up with has lost. Would love to have an in-ride view of these coasters like the one that exists in RCT3

Wouldn't Doppelganger 2.0 keep it's synchronization if you put both minimum and maximum waiting times to 32 secs?
I actually did that! But guests coming in at the last moment will throw off the timing.

Not really a fan of how claustrophobia was changed to not mean the name of it's original layout
I actually added some tunnels to it to better convey its name!
@@Deurklink I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't think the 3 tiles added to being a tunnel as an afterthought better conveys the name, I think at least 40-50% of the original ride was tunnels, imo when I think Diamond Heights I think of claustrophobia and agoraphobia from how they were, and Imo, i would have left them as original being the crown jewel of the park

@@trickygamer555 this might just be me but I can already see some/most of all the pre-existing coasters in some parks being changed a lot like the ultimate from Katie's world, frightmare from Mel's world, both wooden coaster from Karts and coasters could be RMC and same with wood chip wood chip from crumbly woods also being RMC
It's not just 3 tiles of tunnel, there's more after that!
I love this park. It was and still is the first challenge in RCT1. Iconic coasters, lots of rough terrain, many pathing issues to fix.
I'm absolutely loving this series and I'm looking forward to your take on Bumbly Beach! So keep up the good work! :D

I like most of the recreation, but both Loop Coaster and the station could have see more love.
The station is very boxy and I don't like the factory theme. A lodge themed station would definitely look better. The layout could be longer with higher lifthills (a 90 degree lifthill could also be nice) and a more exceting twists before the up/down section near the path.
That's very good indeed! Me personally though, I would've remade Doppelganger as a Moebius Loop Wooden Coaster (ala _Grand National_ at Blackpool Pleasure Beach). Would have allowed for a lot more freedom in the design (twisting drops, greater airtime, etc.), more thrills, and would've also worked well with the original coaster's theme!
The space was a little bit limited, and the track layout would have been a bit short, so that's why I opted to go for a design where the trains traverse both loops of track :)

Loving this series! I really love the realism you incorporated for this park and how you made the mine-industrial theming look pretty.
I will say I personally feel like the overall park's color palette feels maybe a little *too* subdued and might benefit from a few more splashes of brighter colors? But that could just be entirely me. Awesome job!

I knew the meaning of Claustrophobia and Agoraphobia before now, but never noticed that the coasters actually thematically matched those names.
I love RCT1. I cant understand the hype for RCT2. Each their own.
RCT2 fixes a lot of issues the original game had, like the awful pathfinding. RCT1 has much better scenarios, though.
Legit my only complaint (Might just be nitpicking) is Claustrophobia wasn't more enclosed in since it was meant to be the "Fear of narrow or enclosed spacing"
I did give it a few tunnels, but they are near the end!
Won't the mine train ride crash eventually due to the short station? I mean there's not enough space for three trains.

I don't think it will, since it will have lost quite some speed at the end.. But I haven't tried running the park for several years, so maybe it is indeed an accident waiting to happen!
The enterence is very brown. Also i feel like the more you go on in this series you’re losing quality in my opinion
i think he is gaining quallity. the first parks were very rushed and simple. i really like these kind of builds. i was hoping he would build these park like the epic one he did of forest frontiers years ago! :D

(NO, it should NOT be cramped with coasters. Just 3-4 more small tracked rides and or a additional coaster)
Haha i did not rush this video - it actually took me longer than the other ones i have done so far - Rebuilding these coasters just takes a lot of time.
@@Deurklink Oh, sorry. But as i said: one half of the park looks awesome, while the other part is a natures reserve.
You always gave awesome tipps, like: theme the edge of the lakes with bushes. Even if you would keep the one side as a natures reserve, there could be done a lot more, with just plants.
