So many Ministry fans despised this album, but I think it's one of their best works.
So who are we despising? I don't get it!
Trump 2024!! Woo !
What's that dead behind the eyes Biden doing again?? 👀
What the fuck do fans know??? Entertainers are corporate commodities and they need fans, followers/ Artists are not entertainers/
Agreed
IT IS 🔥🔥🔥
I would even say this is the best one.
Can’t believe I bought this album at 12 years old... my parents really let some shit slide huh
Harpee Death Squad
They certainly did!😄
They wanted you to grow up strong
Hahahahaha
Hey man that's a real cool comment.
Well this song was made for you then....you started out younger than age most people started younger at.....
One of the best Ministry albums ever.
Right on
I made a playlist containing songs with the same 2 chords progression pattern, here it is:
Alice In Chains - Sludge Factory
Deftones - Genesis
Elastica - Human
Faith No More - Last Cup Of Sorrow
Karate - These Are Ghosts
Melvins - A History Of Bad Men
Melvins - Night Goat
Ministry - Filth Pig
Mudhoney - When Tomorrow Hits
Spacemen 3 - When Tomorrow Hits (Mudhoney Cover)
Wire - Lowdown
Wool - Eff

Thank you so much for including The Melvins, ridiculously underrated sludge.
You again
@@Rhodiac I'm in every song of the list
That lead harmonica is just blistering
This is my favorite ministry album
It's so heavy and dark, and groovey
Mine toooooo, man! It's absolutely awesome!!!
I really like this album too!
Well, people, there are 4 "Filth Pig" lovers already!🤪

i remember being addicted to downers when i first got into ministry so filth pig and dark side of the spoon were all i listened to for about 8 out of 10 months in active addiction. havent done any downers in 2 months, i dont feel dead anymore. but i come back to this music because not only is it just good music but also it reminds me to not relapse because living the way i was living is worse than anything that could cause me to relapse.
Good on you bro!
Just started treatment last month, I feel you. Hope we can both stay on the path of recovery, best of luck to you and all my other junkies.
@@zulemazahir666 You absolutely can do it. I was right where you are EXACTLY 16 years ago. It’s gotten easier every year. Wish you all the strength in this battle. Refuse to lose!
Stay Strong: I come back to Ministry because it helps me reflect on life. Live life Day to day.
Congratulations on sobriety it gets easier with time my friend keep up the good fight it's always worth it.
Such an underrated album. I love it.
It's not underrated. Underrated suggests it's never been heard of.
@@OmegaRedFan No it suggests that folk never rated it as an album when it came out.
Your parents knew he was a soft AF white hating rich guy. High five to the leftists: right to the nose
Bei uns im Osten von Deutschland nicht… Ministryroots!
No. Underrated means that people rated it lower than it should have been rated. Like how overrated means people rated something higher than it deserved.
Ministry lost a lot when Paul Barker left. I generally found Ministry's music a little fast for my tastes, so this album was right in the sweet spot for me. Droney, dirgy sludge with surprisingly clever lyrics and deceptively beautiful and layered production.
Always awesome to see a brother that thinks for himself, I tip my hat to you, good sir!
@@ninasergina1975 he's still alive.
Ministry was never the same after this album. Yeah, losing barker killed the band IMO. He was a lot more important than people give him credit for.
@@ninasergina1975 yeah he's still alive. He left ministry on his own. Seems like there's some bad blood there.
@@ninasergina1975 he's doing solo stuff. He was in puscifer for a few years too during the Money Shot era
This song is about the only thing I remember from the year 1996
This album was surprisingly good, I don't understand why peoples say it's bad, Ministry haven't released a bad album ever.
Many fans didn't like it because they were hoping for industrial-thrash, but got industrial-sludge instead. Personally its my second favorite Ministry album behind Rape & Honey
Mind taste best
@@almaw2005 Thrash was the top metal genre early to mid 90s. That is until Korn and Slipknot fans took over.
Dark side, animosity, relapse and Amerrikant were bad albums
I went to this tour in Mpls in the mid 90’s. I wish I could go back to see all the shows over again! First concert was NIN in 95! I was only 15 and will never forget it!
20 years later, this is still the best album!!!
Lay Lady Lay is a wonderful cover !!
I remember getting the whole album on cassette tape, not really knowing the band and I loved it, bought as many Ministry records as I could on CD inc. Filth Pig (again). Still love it. and I still think the guy on the cover looks like Eminem with a steak on his head haha
he does kinda look like em!!!!! LOL
This album is frecking epic. Have 10000 bands i like. Sitting on a smartphone smoking and sipping the whisky in a grenhouse. And yes i did youtube search, like an ex you can't let go. This sind sehr gut
You should really listen to Ministries country album then Buck Satan and the 666 shooters and all their side projects
Me too and nailbomb
This is the best song Ministry has ever done in my opinion, very underrated and most people do not know it when you ask them, fucking sad indeed!
I'd throw "The Fall" in there as at least #2. 🤘
It's a great song, but he borrowed this riff from an even greater song. "Night Goat" by the Melvins.
I sleep with both eyes open!
Don’t make a sound they’re not dead just sleeping
Filth pig!
UNREST FULL wouldn't you say?
@@sstaners1234 wrong song xD

Underrated Ministry album
one of my all time fav's for sure, now I crave beer.
My favorite Ministry album.
This is probably the best Ministry album. Hands down.
This, stoner witch, and NOLA were my go to getting stoned
This album got hate for "not being enough like Psalm 69," but listen to "Scarecrow," "Corrosion" and "Grace." This IS Psalm 70 after all.
Perfect description of this amazing album.
I return to this song over and over and chills every time!
This album was the soundtrack to my late teens. Wasn't till I got older I understood what an influence it had on my musical tastes. This album is so fucking dark and layered and production intensive.
Same!
This is a Criminally Underrated album And This Song And Lava Are Some Of My Favorite Ministry Songs just because of how Long They Are and how Epic And well Produced They Are
Al just made another masterpiece when this came out.nothing in this genre could even conpare
This album did everything it needed to do. Pissed off a bunch of people at the time and is now rightfully a sludge classic. Love every note…
It needed to piss off a "bunch of people"?...who were they?
@@Jason-jx3vt Patriotards.

I missed this record back in the day.
I picked it up at a second hand store last yr. Its bad ass, one of my all time top 10 albums
It was well worth the wait🤘
The most underrated ministry album
Я уже и забыл как на карманные деньги купил этот альбом на CD, и вот прошло больше 20 лет, но музыка все так же крута!
By far THE BEST ALBUM..TY UNCLE AL!!!!@
SMOKE WEED GYEAAAA!!!!
Challenging and heavy, I like how different it is from Psalm. Love it
But "Psalm 69" is a killer too... in a way
@@ninasergina1975 of course, Psalm is an absolute classic
@@domasnaudziunas8654 oh, I wasn't arguing with you, Domas, I just think that all MINISTRY'S works are brilliant this way or another... Sad though that mr.Jorgensen voted Biden who is absolutely GAY! I'd prefer Trump to stay.
This is a jam and a fucking half.
Best Ministry album , hands down..
one of your best UNCLE AL. truly great work. speaks for us all.
Night Goat by Melvins, for sure. But this is actually pretty dope for a Ministry song.
that bass line...
Indeed, gadgie, fvckin´ amazing
Menacing to the core... Love it.
This was ministry at their most doom and sludge. Wasnt a fan at first but when you appreciate it for what it is and not the psalm 70 expectations it is a well done piece.
My granny loved this ditty
26Yrs Ago.,. Wore The Tee-Shirt & Had The Child Due To this Album 🖤

I have really happy memories associated with this song. I remember listening to it when I was first got together with a now ex. They are long gone but my love for Ministry remains!

Album jest zajebisty! Kiedy usłyszałem go po raz pierwszy jakieś 10 lat temu nie od razu mnie chwycił. Wróciłem do niego rok temu i mnie zgniótł!
One of the first CDs I ever purchased. So much better now than back then when I was 16.
After discovering and appreciating The Melvins; self-explanatory. They should cover this album but they couldn't make it heavier.
Did you hear the story about The Melvins' King Buzzo's losing his girlfriend to Ministry? She took off on tour with them and everything. Ouch.
@@brianmcclelland7682Never trust a junkie.
It may seem strange, but filth pig is my favourite ministry album, and it's also thier least industrial album. I feel with Filthpig, that I am listening to a band. It feels organic, and not mechanical.
Filfthpig is in my top 50 albums of all time.
The Ministry album I keep coming back to! I was disappointed when I first got it, but it has grown on me like few other albums I own.
На мой слух и взгляд, это самый заебательский и оригинальный проект! Просто КРАСАВЧИКИ!
Listening to this album as a wee lad vs age 30 after being a junkie is a huge difference. This shit sounded good the whole time though!
"I keep chasing this tail but the tail gets bigger go figure"
I’m shocked that this isn’t The Melvins
@Donovan Davis a history of bad men?
I love this song, it's a good one to cover
@Donovan Davis sound similar more like basically a Melvin's Night Goat rip. A lot of bands do that though. Great song none the less.
Maybe it's about the Melvins.
Riiight! I said that too. Fucking Night Goat riff lol!
Good morning USA!. Hello Ministry... thanks❤RUSSIA
. thanks😅off You...
I got the CD with Just One Fix on it.I love this one too.yup.
Why this never gets played live is beyond me….easy over 15 years since I’ve seen it live
That's every band and that's every thing wrong with the rock industry. All bands almost never replay their old songs live.
Still rocking to this with both eyes wide open...
So HEAVY, HEAVY BEYOND HEAVY. So HEAVY your Momma can't lift it! Thank You for all of your inspiration and inbreeding of sounds. I still can't get enough.
Ahhhhh, Christian Music....love it...
I five finger discounted this albums and The Great Southern Trendkill when it came out.
The sound to the harmonica is awesome. 🤘🏻
The best ministry tour ever !!!!
Milwaukee was insane !!!!!!
This album is a masterpiece.
At is release it was years before everything , ..............................................
And Al Jourgensen knows it,
This album hit when I was in high school. It rocked me! I was into skinny puppy and your mind is a terrible thing to taste album!
My left veins owe a debt of gratitude to this song
Funny thing, in 2000 this was the first Ministry album i heard in its entirety apart from random videos played on scarce MCM or MTV metal hours, so getting to know their more usual staff was a bit challenging initially as the Filthpig sound had set the bar.
Love their faster staff too ))
I start out you're in a daze and people start younger
In a thousand days and it's getting overexposed
Then someone asks, "How do you sleep at night?"
With the borrowed dreams from a broken past
You keep runnin' away don't matter how fast
or long you always wind up there
Another thousand pileups in the ugly name of morality
Fucking ugly, some creepy guy keeps asking
"How the fuck do you sleep at night?"
With a frozen dream and a borrowed hope that died
Filth pig, filth pig
I sleep with both eyes open
Filth pig, filth pig
I keep chasing this tail but the tail gets bigger go figure
A thousand... keep the fires and flames alive
So how the fuck do I dream at night?
With the memories of a borrowed death, the guilty tide
Filth pig, filth pig
He sleeps with both eyes open
Filth pig, filth pig
He sleeps all right because he's a
Filth pig
nope
These are not the lyrics. At all.
They were at their peak here.

I love this song
That riff slithers around like an evil serpent, just like a slimy ass politician. Fucking beautiful
The 1990s called. They want us to come back.
The greatest Industrial Doom track of all time!
This is like a mental blues tune. Really affected me when it came out. Surprised the hell out of me. Great art.
Played this album after band rehearsal. Opened my mind.
Ministry basically does doom. This never got the respect it deserved.

Ill tell you a secret some may know, The night goat and filth pig tell a brief history of bad men
love you AL
I remember reading an interview with Al where he talked about how Filth Pig was slow to the core and had no “industrial shit.” It prepared for one of the most unconventional follow-ups to a platinum metal record this side of Angel Dust…!
Quien puede ser tan inbecil de despreciar este superalbum es el icono de ministry
it may be slow but is not felt like doom. It doesn't evoke a sense of despair, dread, and impending doom. It is angry
This album🖤
When someone describes music as being ‘heavy’ this is the reference weight.
lol
This alban reminds me of Jane's addiction, Idk why but it does. & I love it, very underrated.

History of a Bad Man
I grew up with a half Polish, half American friend who bought this album as a 13-year old when it came out 27 years ago. He just said: "I only bought it because I read in some hit parade magazine that they "sound like white zombie... And then it ended up sounding like some extremely woozy blurry xanax b version of white zombie"
I was about 13years old listening to this
