I bought this watch when it was released to commemorate my PhD completion. I have worn the watch weekly for about 20 years. It has served me well with regular maintenance and after market watch straps from extraordinary Panerista artisans.
Fantastic watch and excellent review. The simplistic look of this model along with the PAM Zero and 372 are some of my personal favorites from this brand. Thanks for the review!
***** Hi Nigel, thank you! I'll do my best to keep the quality high and "unpack" as much of each watch as I can. Balancing quality and quantity is always a challenge, but I'll keep trying to create the focused videos I wished existed before I had this access and platform. Thanks again for following our channel! Best, Tim
+Brummyred Hi Brummyred, welcome back! Thanks for your kind words about my video approach. I always felt that a mix of product facts, some history, and a couple of angles were what watch fans really wanted from RUclips, and it's worked out well for all of us. There's plenty of "attitude" on other channels... ;-) Best, Tim
In my new PAM609 (which is a sandwich dial), the black dial on top of the lume layer is MUCH thinner than it is in the traditional sandwich dials. This could be what is going on with the PAM510, since they are in the same 8-day base class.
Hi...i am thinking of getting a PAM 112 but it is an earlier E series. Means it does not come with a sandwich dial right? And are the older series cheaper or more expensive than the newer ones ?
When i wind the watches, do the crown rollback itself ? I dont quite know how to explain this. But when I was winding my watch the crown do roll back. is it normal ?
ZeitLan Inc. Hi ZeitLan, that's a fact. At heart, Panerai IS watches like the PAM 112. Despite launching over 350 models since 1993, only a handful of Panerai watches can compete with the appeal of the PAM 112. Basic is best in Firenze. Best, Tim
i like the simplicity but without the second hand and it is a hand wound movement, will that be a bit troublesome? i mean without the second hand, I wont know if the watch has run out of energy or not. with the second hand, if the hand is moving, then i know for sure that it is functional. But this one wont tell me that information. is my thought unreasonable here?
Hey guys, a quick questions, is Panerai worth the price tag? I'm looking to get another watch but wondering if it's worth the price tag for a watch that looks 'cheap' as what most people say.

Fantastic review, I recently purchased a PAM111 and couldn't be happier.

Phenomenal review. You really set the standard on RUclips when it comes to watch reviews.

Torn between the clean dial of the PAM112 vs the small seconds PAM111. Thoughts?

Hey can you do a review of the Royal Oak 15400 if you have one or something? Thanks, dying to see that
HydroZxZInferno Hi Hydro, I think you'll be very pleased by one of my newest videos...

What a sexy watch. I love simplicity in design and the cushion case is top notch.
