I like how even before their memories return, you can tell they still have chemistry and could've formed a relationship onward regardless. I like the ending, but still. Their love was that strong.
I watched this whole anime a 2nd time all over again and i literally cried so much since i was in highschool was the last time 10 years ago that i cried like that, it moved my heart, it made me so sad and happy for him, but it made me sad inside that i wish i could just have one moment like that ending or just that one moment at the fireworks festival to be with someone that i care about
OMG, Re:Life was such an amazing anime. This was actually the first slice of life/comedy anime I was able to get my son to watch. He's usually into the action stuff but this one captured his attention. So good.
Wait, don't they catch up in it too? In the relife live action they gave such an ending too and I was kind of disappointed, yet that's expected from a movie.
I spent the two last episodes almost crying, that ending was beautiful. I also cry really easily, but this is one of the best romance anime endings I've ever seen
For anime onlys: After this scene, kaizaki works in RELIFE support divison while hishiro works in scientific department (she makes RELIFE pills) Kaizaki's first subject turns out to be kazuomi ohga's big brother who was also a NEET. Ohga's backstory wasn't revealed in anime...it was in manga. There is also a full chapter where kaizaki, hishiro, ryo and onoya all drink together in their adult forms since now they are colleagues in RELIFE. Ofc they drink together at kaizaki's home. Poor guy. They talked about all the incidents and secrets from RELIFE experiments of kaizaki and hishiro. Ryo and onoya then leave them alone together. Kaizaki finally throws himself on hishiro and they did the deed. On their way home...ryo confessed his love and kissed onoya and now they are together as well. It was done brilliantly. They were meant to be. Ohga and kariu got married, ohga now works at RELIFE with his senpais kaizaki and ryo. He still hasn't remembered that kaizaki was his best friend in highschool. Also...he is curious about subject 001 and subject 002. Their details are locked up which ryo and kaizaki are keeping away from ohga. So yes...everyone had happy ending. It was extremely satisfactory.

My firsts steps was back to my English and Japanese studies(to find more underrated magas like this one), I'm still bad and confused in both languages, but for the first time I'll definetely don't give up. Even if I need to keep going forward clumsily.

Probably the first ending that made me cry. I really love how the author made an epilogue after this ending on the manga. Just gave us everything we need in this kind of anime. Sakura Sou also made me cry but the ending of ReLife is much better with great pace of the story and build up.
This was a solid ending I wish I could see the manga stuff they left out animated but I’m very satisfied with what I got and what I’ve learned from this anime thank you ReLife

And yes just like you said, its good because its not fanservice. The producers did well in choosing Manga ending for the OVA instead of fanservice. Only if Nisekoi had adapted this idea too, it would have been awesome.

The music and facial expressions give me goosebumps every time, I watched this show years ago thinking the creator was done and then I found out he finally fixed it and gave us an ending! I was so excited and it was so worth the white, I became a fan girl and I’m a grown man 😂! So grateful to have watched this beautiful show
Its almost been 4 years bro i still feel the same. I always cry listening to this song. Ive almost finished highschool and ive been watching anime for 13 years and making loads of great friends yet the thought of leaving them leaves me in despair. But what ever happens i always turn to this song and it gives me hopr that one day we will be reunited once more.
Every bittersweet anime ending going forward should strive to be like this. Hell, most dramatic anime for that matter. This is how you can have drama and still have a happy ending.

Well the prologue of the manga just come out this year, the anime is made while the manga is really close to ending. When the manga ended, the anime already finished and ready to air.
I remember tearing up hard when they both took the pills for their reLIFE's end. Specifically when An noticed what Chizuru did before passing out. I did read before watching the series but that still hit the spot lmao.
I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE ANIME ENDING. THE MANGA WAS FAR MORE GOOD AND SATISFIED BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY "DEVELOP" A MEMORY. MEANWHILE THE ANIME, THEY JUST RUSH THINGS AND I DIDN'T EVEN GOT ANY BUILD-UP FEELS.

It's 2023. I just finished reading the manga. It was an amazing experience! I'm also taking preparation for university entrance exam. This anime taught me a lot about life. Hope I'll make the best of my university life!
I don't know why, but I really wished for them to somehow remember each other at the end like "come on, please" and when this happened I feel really happy for them. I guess I got attached to the characters so much, and I love it! :)

The OVA was very well done, but after reading the Manga, they definitely tried to cram over 100 chapters worth of material into a 4-part OVA. I think they should have instead made a season 2 and 3... but my guess is that it may have been a lack of funding or interest at that point. I wonder if that was the studio's original plan was to make multiple seasons? Still, the story was such an emotional ride and I can't believe I am genuinely happy for this fictional couple. They truly deserved the happiness they found.
