Ishigami is a very resilient character being able to put up with someone like that all the time. Many of the times he tried to help her by setting a better example of herself & even went as far as to humiliate himself to cover for her.

(In the manga, chapter 174, Fujiwara tells Ishigawa that Miko is so easy to fool because she's a sucker for compliments and actually puts it to test not realizing that she's starting to him and they have a lot in common. And yet Ishigami never remembers that and pretends as if Iino hates him because of the rules. Ishigami in general is very wishy-washy with Miko. He complains that she scolds him, but when Miko later starts treating him nicely, he is constantly trying to avoid her, cause he's scared and doesn't know how to approach her. In the newest lightnovel Ishigami even admits, that when Miko scolds him, he feels more comfortable with her. When it comes to their relationship, Ishigami is filled with so much cope and denial, that only direct flirt from Iino can get his real feelings out in the open.
The best part is season 4 is going to be very centric with those two especially in the first few episodes of season 4. Even better we are halfway through the manga. The movie stops at chapter 151. It will pick up at chapter 152 after winter break.
And the story goes downhill after that. If what I heard about the later chapters of the manga are, the plot begins to fall apart and certain character's make questionable decisions

That's pretty much the case. Ishigami and Miko are written in a rather experimental manner. Basically, they have a hidden backstory/character traits that show in their behavior, but aren't really explained til the end or after the end. *Spoilers* Which is to say, Ishigami main theme is that he "closed his eyes", which actually refers to his denial and ability to mentally block out what he doesn't want to see. The truth is that they, well. Used to have a thing in middle school. Miko hates him in the way that someone who was almost his ex would hate him.
This show makes me miss highschool so much. I was on a lot of after school teams and I stayed after school a lot too. The friendships you build doing after school activities are like nothing else you'll ever experience. Not to mention the romances. This is a message to anyone in or approaching high school. Learn from Ishigami and join a club or some kind of team that stays after school. It doesn't even matter if you're not interested in it, just do it. I was really poor in high school and it was difficult to get rides because my dad couldn't always afford to pick me up. I'd find friends to carpool with and even got rides from my teachers before. It was embarassing but I'm glad I didn't let it stop me. High school would have been an entirely bad experience without staying after school.
And guess what my highschool days are over now , I just have to give exams and then bam adult life will kick in. Alas I did absolutely nothing during my highschool days , the memories which I made are all me struggling to socialize and skipping school cause I hate everyone. But now everything feels good when the end is near gotta I wish I got to live through this hell for another year.
You have no idea how wrong you are. While initially they seem to have more of a chance of getting along(as much as they cringe over it for how distasteful and ironic the idea seems to them), by the end of season 3, Kaguya and Shirogane really shined together and more or less continue to do so.
No he doesn't, lmao. Iino was extremely improtant for Ishigami's character development and a lot of his ideals he got from her. Ishigami even admits in his short story that he is deeply in love with Iino and wants to date her even if she doesn't love him back. Also Iino is the only character who has normal romantic feelings for him.

After reading the whole manga most of the funny parts dosen't hit like before, now whenever i see Ishigod all i feel is pain... His growth was beautiful, but my guy didn't deserve to be left harbroke, then again, belive me ir not, i once had gone trough the exact same situation as Ishigami, i mean, there was a girl i liked back when i was 15~16, we where close friends but she never felt any romantic feelings for me, so i decided to make myself a better person, while failing to understand that. In the end a comitted a mistake that Ishigami actully didn't, now i no longer speak with her... Sounds childish, but i think it's a important part of our growth process, Ishigami is an insanly well writen and belivable character and i would hug him and thank him for the lesson he was for many...
In reality Iino would have been the one girl who actually got slapped by a dude. Because in real life, girls like that in high school are always hated by everyone, and often there's always at least one dude who absolutely can't stand her and eventually snaps.
