Not Enough Black Panther.

- Avenger's Earths Mightiest Heroes is without a doubt the pinical of Avengers media, and it does an amazing job at developing each charater. Except Black Panther what we gwt of him is perfect and just leaves me wanting more due to his large absance from the show. But what we do gwt is the perfect comic accurate black panther that is only rivaled by the legend himself Chadwick.

I know this isn't a hulk video by my favorite part of this whole show is when tony couldn't figure out some energy signal and the hulk is just sitting there eating a turkey leg and goes "it's a form of cosmic radiation" and tony is just like...oh,you're right.
I love that too
This is why he’s the best version of the hulk
Another dumb Tony moment for me in the show
Considering cosmic rays are basically anti-gamma and have been used on him numerous times, yeah I'd say he's able to accurately identify the stuff.
Best part is it could either be that Banner was rambling about it and Hulk mentioned the bare minimum; or even better is that Hulk knew since he should know what Banner knows and just got tired of hearing Iron Man complaining lol
Black Panther, at least in season 1, is kinda like Uncle Iroh from Avatar, he's not meant to have the deepest, most enriching character arc but he's beloved because of his teachings, the lessons he gives to not just the characters in the show but the audience watching.
Not every character needs to be overly complex or deep to be a good character, Black Panther has a role in the show as the mentor or guiding figure to the other Avengers and helping them develop instead as seen with characters like Hawkeye and Ironman and I think he does that role amazingly.
Could not have said it better
@@Venxous One of my favorite Earth's Mightiest Heroes is about Captain America's team up with Spider-Man against the Serpent Society, how the former understands the latter's issue with Jameson's fake news about him, and preaches to him that when the poeple he saves knows the truth, and he knows the truth, the truth will spread eventually, and only his actions defines who he is as a person. And he's okay woth Spidey webbing Jameson's mouth shut as well.
Speaking of, in Avengers Assemble Vibranium Curtain, Black Panther also has understanding for Spider-Man as well, under their blight with being misjudged by the public, and how they would risk everything to fix their biggest mistake. Spidey does trust his gut in seeing that T'challe isn't that bad, and let's him go.
Do you plan on doing an essay about that Earth's Mightiest Heroes episode?
I really loved him in EMH because he balances what it means to be a hero and king
"Wakandan elders teach that the line between "avenge" and "revenge" is easily blurred."
T'Challa is a boss.
He was one of my favourite characters and I full heartedly agree that he needed more screen time also him and Hawkeye’s friendship and dynamic was one of my aspects parts in the show.
This show is literally my favourite depiction of the Avengers and the wider marvel universe. Next to the X Men animated series of the 90s. I absolutely love Earth’s mightiest heroes. I wish they had more seasons.
Gamma inmate: monologues about power
Black Panther: you all talk too much
There’s a small moment in season 2 that I love. During the Yellowjacket episode, Captain America turns and says, “Panther, let’s go hunting.” The dynamic between those two was great because they worked well together and they each respect the other.
Honestly I feel T’Challa is a sort of guiding hand for the team. Given he had to learn how to cooperate with outsiders thanks to Cap, BP now feels he needs to help keep the bridges in the team in tact, acting as a mediator
20:12 Fun Fact there was plans for Wonder Man redemption arc for a later season and joins the Avengers but since the show got cancelled those plans were in shelfed
And that is truly a travesty 😔
Tragedy...
I first saw T'challa in Ultimate Avengers, but i really like this version of the character as well.
Smart, noble, compassionate and willing to put his pride aside to ask for help.
This is easily the best Black Panther. Nothing against the MCU, but I like him way more in EMH, and I like him even more than in the comics. His role among the Avengers was interesting, he was cool and useful, had personality, and they did a great job with his origin. I think he was in this show enough. Props to his voice actor James T. Mathis III.
I really loved this take on Black Panther and ever since I was first introduced to the character in the show and in the MCU I fell in love with the character too. I truly wish we got more episodes centered on him since hes such a great character
Black Panther is one of the most underrated characters. He's literally African Batman and this show nails that.
He not Batman he better then that bum
God i remember how fucking sick he was in this show, so mysterious... (mightve just been cause i always missed his introduction episodes so he'd just show up lol)
Even then (origins) he was mysterious.esp that episode when he sneaks into America as a stowaway on a ship.the captain and his boys corner him and he quickly does away with them boss style😤😤
Best adaptation of TChalla far better then the MCU version who was watered down in terms of super genius, tactics and edge.
Honestly, I think the MCU version was very close to being as great, his character potential in civil war was so good, but I feel like he was watered down in the black panther movie
@@astormtrooper189His solo movie was watered down on purpose. I hated what Ryan coogler wrote for that character. He took everything out of the character of King T'challa that made him cool and badass. He gave it to other characters. I saw that bs. Now they decided to kill off the character because the real actor has passed away.Which is stupid. They should have recast the character. I love this show.
@@BigdogGaming-sm3ljMate I have to remind you back then the Fans did not want a recast and if they did recast back then they would revieced a massive backlash from the media back when he passed away,What choice did they have
I think part of the reason both Wasp and Black Panther don't have as much of a personal arc as everyone else, outside the constraints, is because the roles they take on don't require it. Wasp is like the heart of the team, she's only who who seems to just trust Hulk fully, leading to Hulk breaking free from Enchantress. She does have a mini arc in the Season 1 Kree episode, realizing she is putting too much expectations on Hank. Still, despite being static, Black Panther and Wasp are both good characters, because they are used effectively in their roles of the team, and do it well. Also, her reactions to when Ultron captured her really bring how just how terrifying Ultron truly is for me. The line, "I am attempting to correct that flaw," is what really sold me on how terrifying Ultron is, not him 'killing' Thor, though considering the Enchantress is also involved in his 'afterlife' I doubt he actually was, and not the nuclear attack, but that line, he's going through so much effort to just kill one person, that's how thorough he wishes to be.
I really ADORE his bromance with Clint, is so pure & adictive to see 💜🖤
This show was my introduction to black panther, really cemented my love for the guy
he was both a bro and a teacher
Oh my God somebody who understands my favorite character EVER. Thank you for this video.
I loved the " mystical magic, simple science" line
What I love about both EMH and MCU Black Panther unlike other geniuses like Tony Stark, Reed Richards, and Hank Pym where there smart but they are driven by emotions T'Challa on the other is a genius driven by pure logic and reason, he's basically the Spock of the show.
This version of Tchalla was a king! He was so cool, intelligent and a badass that this is my favorite version.
S2 BP actually has alot more substance in s2. With the Skrull invasion it breaks up the avengers, partially because of Fury but it was a Necessary evil as Fury even states and because of it, he goes back to being King of Wakanda and repairs Cap's shield more as a favour rather then anything else and it adds even more depth to the character.
That's the one problem with doing these character vids with limited knowledge based off the first season because s2 actually adds more depth to the entire core
In my eyes, this was the PERFECT Black Panther
When you said black panther is Similar to wasp in the way that their present in the episodes but don’t have deep character arcs but wasp felt she had more to say and felt more present I think that was the point black panther is someone who thinks before speaking says things only when he needs too isn’t overly emotional I think he was their to be the guide of the group the one who watches and gives advice when needed he was the sense of the group I felt
Wow, 50 seconds ago guess I checked youtube at the right time
My favorite and most chilled version of black panther.
Sadly, Black Panther feels like the perfect Scapegoat. He is usually depicted like a Ninja character, so he is often silent and stealthy (in Gamma World 1, I think Wasp was startled because he doesn't talk that much.). It also makes for him to be so reserve because of his upbringing.
If someone is going to be put in a support position, it's easy to choose him over the very vocal, very opinionated cast in the show.
My favorite part of this series was when you watched it right when it came out, this was like the last time you'd be exposed to Wakanda before the MCU made sure everyone in Our world learned about it with the Black Panther film. The wise and Strong-silent Black Panther from this show will always be my favorite. I wanted this whole cast of voices to be in MarvelVsCapcom3 but am thankful for all the ones we got.
I like the motion comic one, he's so cool
I do enjoy his voice actor in that one
Just finished season 5 of Avengers Assemble yesterday, so I'm very happy to get some good Black Panther content. That season is so painful to get to given how badly they butcher his character and most of the season seems designed to make Shuri look good.
I tend to think that the problem they had with Black Panther was that there wasn’t the huge backlog of lore to mine from the comics. The first couple of episodes and the BP movie are essentially the same story told in different ways. BP’s books and stints in the Avengers were fairly brief.
There was way more than enough of T'Charlie when a good 40% of the time he was around, he was able to figure out something quicker than most by changing one simple thing. The only thing there wasn't enough of was him wearing the cape.
Best version of Black Panther i really wished we saw this version in the mcu
His special panthers quest was great! I agree with you we need more black panther
Great video essay 😊
I hope in the near future 🔮 that Black Panther gets his own animated series, with just as good or even better writing as Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Best version of Black Panther EVER!!!
I found your channel only a couple of weeks ago and it’s easily become one of my favorites. The editing is top notch, the info is top notch, EVERYTHING is top notch hell yea man
When I watched this show as a kid I always wished Black Panther showed up more, he was just so unbelievably cool
Good vid venxous keep up the great work man
Finally u did tchalla 🎉🎉shit I'm in the office and overexcited looking crazy🤩🤩
Loved this version of him
Then again black panther just became king after the episode in wakanda, what does that say if he is away too much from his kingdom?
I like Black Panther because he's one of the only superheroes you see who fights with wisdom.
I also think that I grew up in a town where everyone wants to be rugby stars - so the strongest, beefiest of us students are respected. Seeing Black Panther thrive and rely on being wise and fighting with finesse in a world where most superheroes either punch or shoot their way out makes BP a great role model for me.
I love watching content about Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I'd agree with what you're saying, but I think one of the main constraints was that the show as a whole seems to speed up quite a bit once we get to and past the secret invasion. The last 2 seasons feel like so many important things happen either without closure or without fleshing out the development better. If we had more of the show, we probably would have got your wish. It was good while we had it.
This is my favorite iteration of Black Panther and how I got introduced to the character! Amazing job with this video!!
Idk how you consistently make such strong, well produced content, but keep up the great work
Haven’t watched the show fully yet, only a few clips. I appreciate your analysis and it seems very accurate! I just wish that for once we could get a version of T’Challa’s story that is closer to his original telling. The last great iteration of T’Challa was written by CJP in my opinion.
One of the great things about black panther is his mystique and keeping his screen time limited keeps that in check
I wish you would have covered more than just Tchalla in season 1. His character is given a lot of nuance in season 2 during the secret invasion arc and the knee space arc where he sacrifices himself to save his friends. Still a great video on my favorite version of black panther
Venxious. Have you seen Wolverine and the X-Men? I think you would love it for the plot development and character arcs.
Idk the exact quote but during the civil war 2, black panther basically says whatever moral side captain America is on, is the right moral side. And I think it’s cool
Nice been waiting for this video for a while
Thor and Black Panther are both honorable warriors with royal blood.
Lore of Not Enough Black Panther. Momentum 100
I think the problem with Black Panther is that after getting his revenge he has basically became perfect.
Everyone else has a downside, even Cap is too much of a soldier, but T'challa is always right, he always know the right path to follow. Even in season 2, during the skull invasion, he's right that if he can't trust the Avengers he has to return to Wakanda to make sure his country is safe.
In season two he sacrificed himself to protect the entire Earth in the Kree invasion, but luckily he survived and saved his team on Kree's homeworld.
I really wish Chadwick didn’t pass it makes me so sad. This show and the avengers animated movie made me love black panther snd I was so excited to see more t’challa on the big screen. F**k Cancer.
After watching all your EMH videos (besides the wasp one since it's not out yet from the time of me writing this) I'm loving them all and I can't wait for you to do your season 2 retrospective because despite how good season 1 of EMH is, season 2 might be even better & I really wanna hear your thoughts about it
Black panther/t'challa has a truly noble heart.
Earth's Mightiests heroes had the perfect storylines and was great introducing characters to the audience.. To me it was Marvel's best animated series.
I love that whenever Black Panther showed up in a 90s/2000s show he just dog walks the main character(s) and then is just like, "Yeah, you'll do. I need your help." King type behavior
I love EMH so much. It's probably not the objectively greatest avengers project and it has it's flaws but I've loved it since my childhood.
Leaving the nostalgia aside, I do believe that no writing team understood all of these characters to this degree. There's probably single examples done better, like arguably Ironman one, when it comes to the entire team as a whole, the writers not only understood their dynamics but also the core motivations and personalities of each character. Nothing about them feels weird or out of place like Brainiac hulk in the MCU for instance and everyone gets development in a way that actually makes sense both for the character and in the context of the story.
With the money printing machine the MCU and Hollywood as a whole has become I truly miss this style of actually understanding the characters you're trying to write instead of just making them as bland and marketable as possible.
That's why I still rewatch this show every couple of years whilst I've seen any marvel movie after 2011 not more than once, if ever.
Avengers earth mightiest heroes is my favorite piece of Avengers content and it'll always hold a special place in my heart.
This show is the reason why I love Black Panther, Ant-Man, Wasp, Vision, Thor, Captain America, and Hawkeye
Edit: I forgor Ultron, Zemo, Winter Soldier, Kang, and Doctor Doom
Edit 2: And I forgor that this show introduced me to my GOATs, Beta-Ray Bill and Red Hulk
It's kind of funny that Disney/Marvel avoided a likely PR disaster by retiring the name Man-Ape when making the movie.
I wish u did breakdowns continuing into season 2 of the show rather than stopping at season one
I will do videos on the second season but trying to fit it all in one video is just not feasible for me personally
Black Panther is so awesome in this series!
This vid gon make me rewatch EMH and im not mad about it lol
Amazing video, I don’t have much to add other then I agree, I wish there was more of Black Panther in emh. He’s so fucking sick I love his character I just wish there was more of him.❤
Nice analysis
Someone remind this homie that Tchalla alao handled Thor in BP Panther's Quest.
We’ll never again reach the peak of EMH.
Frfr we need black panther back but marvel don’t want it to succeed
Awsome
I really wish Chadwick didn’t pass it makes me so sad. This show and the avengers animated movie made me love black panther snd I was so excited to see more t’challa on the big screen. F**k Cancer.
Also, I think it would be a perfect time to bring this show back. Considering so many of the OG avengers members in the movies aren’t present anymore it’s not over saturated and people would like get hooked.
nice
Have any plans on covering season 2 characters?
Yes I plan to cover all the main line avengers in season 2 including the new members
Great video.
forget mcu black panther this is the black panther\leopard that i like!
Who is your favorite black panther iteration in media?
Chadwick outside of the comics
is there enough content for wonderman to get an episode? i think he has a good arc
Closest the MCU got to this version was in Civil War. Personally didn't really how they changed him in his own movie. He wasn't as wise.
Same black panther is my favorite superhero character ever I like the mcu black panther but to me someone who knows him he wasn’t really him and he wasn’t that big for them not to recast him I get if RDJ dead what he done for iron man is legendary even in his movie BP wasn’t the star they give it to his bodyguards that cazy
I do believe Black Panther need more episode to flash him out more, if there's a Season 3 maybe there will be. Also, you really need to re-watch season 2 after you finish analyzing season 1, as there many character focus and development episodes in season 2, for Captain America, Thor, Iron man, Hulk, Ant-man and new characters like Miss Marvel, Vision and even Doctor Doom. And don't forget the whole secret invasion story and how that reveal another Captain America's traits---Perseverance
Off topic but how do you consistently and upload these video so fast or did you have them all done a just choose what to upload first?
So typical each video takes about 30-40 hours to make between scripts editing and of course watching the show. Plus recording and final edits. This video took about 3 days to make as right now I have the luxury of working like 10 hours a day on my passion. And scripts are typically 2 days before I sit down to record. Plus battling YT copyright stuff also.
TLDR vids are typically done about 2-3 days before you see them
@Venxous Wow that's incredible time management, I got to try something like that and thank you!
Facts 👍🏿
I also love the man of action black dots what’s it called?
Think it’s a reference to matrix printing used in comic books.
@@KnuttyEntertainment I think they used that in the comics and spiderman ITSV
Are you going to do a video on vision?
For season 2 of the show most likely
I love t'challa and hawkeye relationship
Be cool to see some 1 hour - 2 hour videos
Quality ones dont show up often but certin people like me love stuff like that when its quality
I try my best no to fill my video with fluff, I don’t want to waste the time of you all it’s important to me to be concise. But there may be a few videos coming that will be over an hour 👀
W video glad i finally clicked on this
Can you go a Batman one? Or dc one? Great video
you can't improve on perfection, man
Had anyone else noticed you can’t buy the dvds for this show?
I mean you can, but it’s an import.
Amazing video and output! But please try to not get burnout while pleasing the algorithm.
I like your analytical cover of the Avengers EMH, but for Black Panther to have more depth in this show was close to impossible after his plot arc, maybe they could circled back around his hero-villain storyline, but to continue the over-arking story of EMH, there wasnt enough room. At the time, this show imo boosted the reputation and the many standing heroes casted in Avengers EMH that it particularly has its nuanced audience of marvel fans flowing into the MCU's fandom and plotline. If anything, this would be one of many reasons to reboot Marvel through recasting of Hulk or Black panther story-arc, with an opportunity to re-tell a story with different decision making or world-perspective views. All iknow is, Edward Norton>> Mark Ruffalo Hulk, and Chadwick is a icon cemented in the role of Black panther, but EMH black panther would be a great recast chance.
Recast tchalla
No
I just realized, are you trying to emulate the video style of "kaptainkristian"?
“I’m just trying to be me” Miles Morales
@@Venxous Cool, I just realized you reminded me of him.
