Fun fact: Before joker kills electrocutioner he uses 4 of the 6 shots in his revolver, and uses the other 2 to kill his goons next to batman after they fall, so when he's pointing the gun at batman he's actually just bluffing
@@can-i-go-now why did he need to reload? Yeah, he can, but people don't always do the smartest thing you know? Like me opening my window with one of the strongest wind known to mankind blowing outside!
@@manueldelbono202 Because Joker is not an idiot? He's crazy and definitely a psychopath but he's not dumb. While waiting for Batman to get to him he can put a few rounds in while saying something absurd like the lunatic he is because its the Joker.
Also I think it's explained in Arkham Knight why he gave the GCPD the shock gloves. They were technically evidence, plus anyone capable could track the signal to find him the same way he tracked electrocutioner.
@@GabrielVittorio yeah tbf I felt the shock gloves just always got in the way of fights like it didn’t feel as fun using them cause I could take down enemies instantly
Actually an Alfred game wouldn’t be so bad, nothing big just a small 15 dollar vr game where you make antidotes and food for Batman, I think that would be pretty cool
10:05 To add onto this, Alfred literally refers to him as a "young man with a trust fund and too much anger" to which Batman replies with accusations that Alfred still sees him as a kid. That's the whole point. Bruce is being an asshole because at this point in his career, he IS an asshole, and Alfred acknowledges that. That's why Alfred says this, because at this point he really is just an angry young man with a trust fund. As we see in other games (or even in the Cold Cold Heart DLC), their dynamic grows as Bruce has matured. Not to mention later in the game Bruce actually does realize what an asshole he's been to Alfred and apologizes, because he's realized that his own arrogance is what led to Alfred nearly dying. Otherwise known as character growth.
Yeah, most of the sins in these videos are just them sinning the point of the scene. Like this scene, Batman is an asshole on purpose and yet they sin it
i dont see the origins story as his learning not to be an asswhole but instead him to learn to work with others. alfred keeps pushing him to work with the police but batman refuses and it's only at the end where batman accepts help and works with the police. and it's mainly because after alfred almost dies, he loses confidence and says that he can't do this because he can't even defend his own home. but alfred suggests to him that perhaps he could do it with help. that than leads to him working with the cops at black gate. in my opinion, the whole story revolves around him accepting that he needs help and can't do it all alone. i think the rest about him being an asshole might be related to that but isn't mainly what the story is about
@@Dctctx I've seen you around in the comment section of some of his other videos, you're really not a fan of him are you aha, but I have to ask, what did he do wrong?
Batman says: “you just ran out of time.” To Vicki Vale as Bruce Wayne, and he also said the same thing to Bane as Batman. Bane put 2 and 2 together and figured out that Bruce Wayne is Batman.
I think my biggest problem with the whole "Gordon should know Batman better by now" is that they JUST had their first extended conversation at most, a couple of hours ago. They had never interacted prior to this game, and it all takes place over one day. They had their first conversation on the bridge, where Batman immediately flew off to help Alfred, and then a couple of hours later, Gordon sees Batman presumably murder Bane. This is only his third overall interaction, and two of the the three times he's 'met' with Batman he was committing a crime in Gordon's eyes (Breaking and Entering at the Police Station and Murder.) So no, Gordon should NOT know Batman well enough at this point to know he wouldn't murder Bane and instead made it look like he did.
Games don’t show you every single thing. Things happen in the background in shows movies and any time there’s a story every action isn’t showed you should know better by now
that doesn't apply here as we know for a fact there were no interactions with gordon pre origins, and during origins, we can safely assume we see everything batman did as100% the game takes longer for the average player than the canonical length of the night@@Messup7654
To be honest with the copperhead thing. If she did keep him fighting or physically exerting himself longer it would have killed him. The more he moves, the more oxygen is exhaled, leading the neurotoxin to flow through his system much faster.
29:05 Just want to note also that Roger Craig Smith doesn't play chris is this version of resident evil, here is shown the HD remaster of the first game, where chris is voiced by Joe Whyte, Roger voices chris in resident evil 5, 6 and a couple spin offs, making this reference completely pointless, that deserves a few more sins
Well he did say similar but we dont know what they mean by similar theres no voice so ion think they were talking abt voice bc there is no voice in the resident evil clip plus nobody rly looks chars voices bc we're used to specific ones or maybe that's just me
I haven't gotten to this part of the video yet, but when you said "John Mullaney" my brain immediately imagined him saying that sentence and I started laughing.
19:33 The real reason as to how the death penalty can exist in gotham and also not have batman's villains get executed is because they are all considered legally insane which means that they can't get legally executed and will instead most probably rot in a mental institute till they die. This is why Calendar man is almost gassed as he's not considered legally insane as is evident by his presence in blackgate instead of one of the mental asylums in New Jersey. The part about the death penalty not being legal in jersey anymore however doesn't make any sense other than that the game might take place before 2007 which would also make sense as to why he's not executed again between origins and city
35:24 is probably the sin i have the most problem with. There's a reason they removed stuff like the planned “tripping” mechanic, where Batman would occasionally trip while running: it made the game less fun. Opting to not use these upgrades would be seen as a downside in the long run, as it would make the gameplay far more limited and boring. Sometimes sacrifices have to be made, even if they seem contrived. It absolutely wasn't made due to budget constraints, but because the devs cared enough to put the player's fun over the logic of the plot, and even then managed to come up with perfect reasons for why these items aren't used in the later chronological games.
The Alfred death scene was so convincing to me the first time I played it that I legitimately thought he died for real for a few seconds. I just rationalized that the Alfred we talked to from City was an A.I. that Bruce designed in his honor.
14:38 this sin also makes no sense because they actively show us the recordings of batman and Bruce Wayne that bane has where they both say "you just ran out of time" in the same way, thus helping him put the pieces together. Lest we forget, bane is smart AF at this point in the continuity so it's 100% believable. Hell, clownpuncher goes over this with the next sin video, idk how the first guy missed this. Edit: 40:52 is why characters propose the opening of arkham asylum, why is this a sin? It's a setup to the premise of technically the rest of the series.
I do wanna mention, in Arkham knight, you actually CAN see the Electricutioner's gloves in a display case. So Batman only just gave them to the Police.
New title for video: "Clownpuncher destroys half-thinkers with facts and logic". Great video, this was my first Arkham game, and I am glad someone else likes it. Merry late Christmas as well
16:30 I have a very good explaination for this , The Grapnel Accelerator was slightly slower than the Grapnel Boost, so it was likely that the Grapnel Boost was an upgraded version of the Grapnel Accelerator.
Or the Origins suit is more armored than the Asylum and City suits. It was likely able to handle the force of the accelerator, but Bruce realized a cloth like fiber was better for mobility and stealth at the expense of not being able to use the accelerator anymore. The boost is an upgraded version of the accelerator that the City suit can use, but it is just a prototype that isn't perfect. Than the Knight suit comes along which is the best of both worlds between the Origins and Asylum/City suit. Mobile, armored, and able to withstand the force of an upgraded grapple boost.
Here's something that never gets brought up. In the scene where Joker blows up the building Batman throws him across the table and scattering the detonators. Yet in the scene where Bane punched him off the Joker the table is back to normal. That's an actual sin.
27:29 The fact that you acknowledge what a great Joker Baker played makes me respect you way more than I already do. Also, he claims that Mark Hamill's performance is being mimicked, and that might be true to some extent, but in a lot of ways Troy Baker makes the character his own as well. Hamill delivers a more fun/comedy type of performance and delivers it with aspects of horror. Troy Baker's Joker is a little more serious and dark, which is evidenced by the final sequence when he and Batman fight. Plus, in my opinion his voice fits better for a younger Joker. Not calling Hamill old lol but I'm just saying that their voices fit for their respective characters. Mark Hamill's voice is perfect for the other games, but from my perspective imagining this Joker with Hamill's voice doesn't feel right. I also feel like the voices signify the growth of the characters, hence why Batman has a different actor as well. Again, not saying any of the actors are old but I can't think of any better way to explain this. Point is, Hamill does a great Joker in the other games, but given the atmosphere and overall dynamic of the Joker here, Troy Baker was perfect as well.
I think that Troy's performance here was spot-on for a younger version of Mark's Joker. It's just enough of an impression for you to believe that he will become Mark's Joker while also being unique enough that he feels new.
34:28 What also makes this scene so amazing is the subtlety about it. We already know that Joker is obsessed with Batman and we know why, but that obsession goes both ways. This scene is actually not exactly what happened to Batman's parents. There is one crucial difference. The man pulling the trigger is not Joe Chill. It's Joker. In some continuities, Joe Chill was killed before Bruce could get justice for his parents death and he never got the closure he needed. That was the main driving force behind becoming batman. He thought he could find that closure by making sure that no one else ever experienced what he did. What this scene shows is that whether or not they're there, Bruce has drawn similarities between Chill and Joker(at least on a subconscious level) and when he sees Joker, he sees the monster who murdered his parents and a second chance to avenge their deaths
16:38, this concept is actually referenced in Arkham City. Over the years, batman focuses on lightweight suits. Alfred asks him at one point "have you ever thought of a bigger utility belt?" And the response is "of course. I tried it. It was too heavy and it slowed me down"
16:56 Hell something similar happens in the DLC for Spider-Man PS4. Miles says that the web shooter has to be changed for when he eventually uses them because of his different size when compared to Peter. If they stayed the same, even if Peter and Miles did the exact same moves, Miles would possibly swing uncontrollably due to the web shooters not taking into account his size. The same logic can be applied to Batman needing to alter the grappenal accelerator (and eventually the suit as seen in Arkham Knight) in order for him to not crash into the building or rip off his arm.
The “That is fear” speech is literally one of my favourite speech’s in Video games, also this game deserves an Asylum and City esque remaster and maybe a sequel between origins and asylum.
Unfortunately it's a little bit hard, due to the soundtrack. Also due to the differences in studios. Batman Arkham City and Asylum had the same studio and composer, while Origins was a different studio. And Christopher Drake, the composer for Origins, would need to be paid royalties. That's why Origins may never get remastered.
27:35 Joker says: "life would be so simple if you were all I wanted, no no your just a tiny little distraction compared to what I've got up my sleeve." HE LITERALLY JUST EXPLAINED WHY HE DIDN'T KILL BATMAN IN THAT CUTSCENE.
Regarding Dartigan sinning Batman not killing Joker (sin 81), Linkara makes a good point on why Batman never kills: he's trying to be better then the lunatics he fights. He needs people to trust him to be a symbol. The instant he kills, that's permanently ruined, because how can the people of Gotham trust he won't do it again? I know you brought this up earlier with the "if you kill a killer, the number of killers stays the same", I just wanted to elaborate.
28:33 Black Mask IS brought up again, while not the big bad we were expecting, he is the focus on one of the side quests, the Drug Canister missions that repaint the Titan Container missions from City, ending with Batman fighting Roman in the Church. All this tells me is that Dartigan only played the main missions, and neglected the side content.
19:24 You make a good point, particularly since it's the Pre-Commissioner Gordon GCPD, who are almost as likely to shoot curfew breakers dead as the criminals are. Also, a minor thing but one would expect most parents would have bought something at some point prior to Christmas eve, Dartigan would've sounded less facetious if he'd mentioned something like Christmas dinner, since it's more plausible that people may not have had all the food they wanted to get fresh the day before. Also, Dartigan, look a Pioneer's bridge during Cold Cold heart, that's not 'a few inches of snow'.
@@arkhamtony3775 I suspect it is a mix of both, the Ice Guns mildly restrain Batman for a brief period before he broke free, the sheer mass of ice on the bridge seems too much for the limited capacity of the guns on their own.
32:20 Of course this assumes that they are wired detonators, and Joker didn't just design wireless ones that looked like the kind of plunger detonator you might see in Loony Toons, because it amused him. Given that there don't appear to be wires coming from the box, I'd say that's exactly what he did.
23:08 - Actualy, there is a Riddle in Arkham City, involving a tablet with the opening date of this superprison - Arkham City. The year is errased, with only number 1 in the beggining being intact. So, Arkham City takes place somewhere around 1999 - 2000 at max, giving that it's winter there. So... It's another timeline, not so simular to our Earth, cause them having more advanced tecknology (with the Wonder City story - what a surprise!)
Really happy to have found your channel recently, the Arkham games are some of my all-time favorites, so it's great to see someone out there still making content for them. Keep it up homie
19:29 Also to further explain, these criminals are likely insane. If I'm correct, Gotham is in the U.S. it's illegal to incorporate the death penalty on the criminally insane as far as I know
" if you kill a killer the number of killers stays the same"-Batman " that's why you kill more than one"-Red hood , Punisher , Deadpool , literally any other Anti- hero.
Honestly I like to think that post Arkham City Bane actually began to get back his intelligence because he does seem substantially more smart in that game than in asylum plus he eventually fights his addiction to venom and Titan so I can only assume that leads to him regaining some of his smarts
The thing is bane isn't even that stupid in asylum, like yea with a venom titan mix he wasn't very smart, but but he was coherent and he made sense, and in city he again showed no sense of being stupid outside of how batman beats him, but i chalk that up to not having the resources for anything except a recycled bane boss fight, so no need to reuse it, his role in both games are so small that his boss fight is easily the longest you'll be against him until orgins, where he ironically becomes the dumbest he is in the series by the end of the game
I played cold cold heart last night, an amazing DLC and I’m gonna finish the game again tonight. Such an amazing game. Also I finally finished the grapples for Origins. It was a nightmare
49:02 I will defend Truman here, if you do side content, Bruce could've also captured Deadshot and stopped Shiva by this point, however you're still right that Alfred was right to be concerned, particularly when one considers that Alfred is acting on emotion, based on his concern for someone who he sees as a son, and not the logic of how dangerous Bruce can be.
Actually, there is one reference to a year in all these games. There is no definitive date but in Arkham City, there is a plaque above the entrance gates when you're on your way to Hugo Strange during Protocol Ten, marking Quincy Sharpe's approval of the institution. Whilst the entire year is slightly damaged, the first two digits are definitely 19.
As much as I'm VERY willing to throw reality out of the window for video games, ESPECIALLY superhero games- There's no way in hell Batman has this much advanced technology in the 80's-90's. Hell we as humans in TODAYS world are still trying to make an effective batsuit.
@MorningstarEditz I am also willing to throw reality out of the window, but the plaque says that. I agree it's outlandish though, not sure why they thought that'd be a good idea
About the Charriii5 shock gloves as defibrillators sin, the gloves are in the GCPD evidence room. In the recorded log, Aaron Cash says Batman gave them to the department. He even says something like “I guess he prefers beating people up the old fashioned way.”
Something I've noticed after playing Arkham Origins many times is that it sounds like Troy Baker voices Black Mask until he's revealed to be Joker in Merchants Bank. He's such a good voice actor that it's hard to tell if it's him or Brian Bloom, but I believe it's Troy.
The real Black Mask still voiced by Brian but when is Joker impersonating as Black Mask, Troy was the one who do Black Mask in the form of Joker pretend to be someone else.
Wait, the nightmare Batman outfit Joker saw was a potential outfit? As cool as that could've been, I don't think having it wearable and corrupting save-data is anywhere near a good idea.
I'd love to know HOW the Worst Nightmare skin caused save-data corruption, I'm not a game designer by any means nor do I know how to design anything in a game- BUT sava-data corruption is already a bug in Origins without the suit (Mr Puncher himself has a short of it) So I'm curious to see how that one skin in particular arised such an issue, but I have no way of asking the Origins devs. Fun Fact: In the Pre Alpha build of the game, you can use the suit- (The Atomsmith has a video on this) and from what I've seen it hasn't done antyhing harmful, but I could very well be wrong.
16:50 Is that even a theory, in Knight, when talking about the new grapnel Accelerator, doesn't Lucius explicitly mention that the suit can take the G Forces, implicitly suggesting that the old ones couldn't?
42:42 In knightfall, as he used to until sometime in the 00s/2010s someone finally realized he should really be wearing some kind of armor, Bruce was clad in a cloth costume, here he's wearing an armored bodysuit that softened the blow
43:32 look I love freeze. You can't cheese him at all. But he doesn't scare me at all. 2nd phase Bane still scares me. It still challenges me to this day and I know I gotta be extremely careful around him. City freeze I beat all the time no problem not so with bane
The shock gloves actually don't break. In Arkham Knight, you can actually see the shock gloves inside the GCPD right next to where you pick up the REC. If you interact with it, Cash mentions that batman handed the gloves in because he prefers beating criminals the old fashioned way.
-23:33 Actually, thinking about it, Electrocutioner does reflect a major character flaw of Bruce in this game; Overconfidence. Lester's overconfidence in his own abilities mean that he wrongly believes he can take Bruce, leading to his immediate downfall, Bruce's overconfidence can be seen in particular in 2 places #1 Despite Bane knowing his identity Bruce assumes his defences will keep Alfred safe, yes he has no other choice, he needs to save the people on the Bridge, but he is still overconfident in his defences and Alfred pays for it. #2 Bruce believes that he can handle everything without aid, and on the bridge, had Gordon left everything to Bruce then the final bomb would've gone off.
32:11 I've watched this video a couple times and something about this sin just clicked with me...THEY ARENT EVEN WIRED PLUNGER DETONATORS. Theyre wireless detonators that are designed like the classic plunger detonator for the sake of visual flair. This point about the inneficiency of that much wire is COMPLETELY meaningless
Am I the only one who actually loved Origins from the first playthrough? I've always thought the story was amazing, and the biggest complaint was the combat which honestly wasn't that bad. I also heard people complain about the Joker boss fight, even going so far as to say it was worse than Asylum, but I actually thought it was perfect. Instead of any real combat, it's just Joker continuously trying to push Batman to the edge after having saved his life. We get to see, in an interactive cinematic masterpiece, the true origin of their relationship and why Joker is always pushing Batman to his limit. Sure, it's not really a "boss fight" and more of a short sequence, but punching the Joker in the face as he laughs/grins at Batman, angering him further and pushing him to cross that line, I thought it was absolutely amazing. Plus, it's actually the perfect boss fight for the Joker if you think about it. Joker isn't much of a fighter, especially against Batman, but he will, without hesitation, take beating after beating and laugh in Batman's face the whole time, and that's exactly what that fight delivers. On top of that, before it even begins, you can see that Joker is genuinely frustrated that Batman didn't kill Bane. He thought he had finally pushed Batman to that limit, that Batman went over the edge, and then he had his celebration crushed by Batman himself. When he says "that's NOT funny" you can tell he really means it. Then he proceeds to laugh immediately afterwards as he tries to push Batman yet again, fully aware of how angry Batman is at him. The entire sequence was perfect and the story overall really got to me. This is hands down my favourite origin story for Batman and Joker, and it's tied with Arkham City for my favourite in the franchise.
28:46 You forgot 2 sins here , 1st The way Dartigin prononced " continuity 2nd He said Black Mask isn't brought up again , even though Black Mask later has his own side mission
36:20 Also, as I recall, this return to GCPD uses a totally different entrance, going to a different place, the only part that you actually backtrack to is the elevator shaft you cross through on the way to the evidence lockup. So even if it wasn't a staple trope of Open World Games, it barely even counts, it's just located in the same basic area.
30:33 Actually, there's a specific explanation as to why Batman didn't keep the shock gloves. In Arkham Knight, if you go to the evidence locker room you can find Electrocutioner's display showing his gloves. If you interact with the display, Cash explains that Batman handed these over to them at some point after the events of Arkham Origins. Why he handed them over in the first place is beyond me but I guess that's just how it happend.
7:50 (or so): I'd also like to add that Arkham Asylum, which takes place 8 years after the events of Arkham Origins, was released in 2009. Assuming that normal people in AO world had about the same level of technology as IRL 2001, not many people would be walking around with cameras in their pockets, much less cameras capable of recording videos. edit: made it to 23:00: Okay, the fact that Batman is holding what seams to be the equivalent of a Blackberry from 2009, it's same to say that that was wrong. I think it's fair to argue that the original intent of Asylum was to take place in about the same year it was released, but having the years be fuzzy allows for this to be easily retconned.
Love how NONE of them show batman getting his back broken AFTER SINNING THE FIRST FIGHT. Love the videos man, keep them up, batman has inspired me so much through my life. Love you❤️
It seems like while you love this game you can acknowledge there’s some funky shit going on with it, largely due to the development no doubt. You gonna do a “everything actually wrong” with this one?
So funfact I got near the end of I Am The Night Mode on this game and then… During Bane’s TN-1 boss fight… I accidentally hit jump out of the vent instead of takedown and he killed me… Thus restarting I Am The Night mode… Let’s just say I had a lot of controller pieces to pick up after that…
I love this approach to EWW videos. Taking the piss out of old videos, debunking nitpicks, and actually looking past surface level observations to look for solutions and not make bad criticisms just to make something look worse than it is
I dislike those types of videos with every ounce of being (well not that intensely but still) and seeing someone take the piss out of them is quite refreshing, since most are poorly made and unfunny.
@@sunsetman22 people have said that EWW videos have ruined filmmaking, and they're basically right, since so many people have tried to make movies as EWW proof as possible, which makes the movies much worse
7:40 I also wanna point out that this is the first time this Batman has had such a big public crisis to deal with. Prior to this he was probably just doing what we see at the beginning of the game interrogating lowlifes and whatnot then he’s fighting psychopaths blowing up building and bridges so obviously they are going to be more publicly seen leading to reporters finally being able to get footage
Honestly origins is probably the only arkham game where i actively avoid using detective vision because of how much i adore the game's aesthetic and the way gotham looks during a snowstorm. It makes me want more batman games to take place during a snowstorm
30:40 That's not really true since we see them not broken in Arkham Knight in the evidence room but rather perhaps Batman realised that its very easy to kill people with the shock gloves
Here's a good sin no one seems to note; before Bane uses TN-1, he calls Batman "Mr Wayne". He wasn't exactly quiet and there were were a number of prisoners still left observing in the background. No one decided to take up that info?
Actually the reason batman doesnt use shocker gloves after shadow (as far as we know) cause joker made too much shocker jokes and batman didnt want to get sued
Defibrillators are shock devices but control shock devices as seen here by the gloves. The gloves are a controlled shock device so the glove could in revive someone given enough volts of electricity in the proper areas as Batman did
Yeah but at that point in the game Bruce has only had them for a few hours (3-4) at most, there's no way he'd just magically know how to concentrate the gloves voltage output and use them as defibrillators. I love Batman and I know he's like the smartest person alive, but even he has limits.
29:16 He's referencing another one of my favourite games, Resident Evil 1 HD Remake and he happens to be incorrect in his reference. It did make sense for Chris Redfield (not voiced by Craig Smith in this entry but in the fifth, another mistake by Dartigan) to find the anti-venom since the Yawn is still a snake despite being infected with the T-Virus and snake anti-venom is not hard to produce or find in a medical facility which the Spencer Mansion had on hand.
I'd like to point out that when Joker switches to Roman's voice, Troy Baker is still doing the voice, he's just mimicking Black Mask. So Joker's impression is possible, because someone actually did it, so there was even less reason to sin that
14:15 In the scene in which Batman discovers that Bane knows his Identity it shows how; when Bruce said the phrase "You just ran out of time." to Bane, he used the same tone of voice as when he said it to Vikki Vale in a televised interview, allowing Bane to match their voices. If you've watched the Brooklyn 99 Cold Open where Jake makes a lineup of suspects sing "I want it that way" he's doing the same thing there. There are numerous people who have noted circumstances that could suggest Wayne as the Batman, and he has yet to adopt the "idiot playboy Brucie" persona, there is less evidence to counter it, so he was likely on Bane's suspect list, this peice of evidence confirmed it to him. This is likely why Bruce would later adopt the "Brucie" persona.
"If u kill a killer, the number of killers remain the same" but if u kill 99 killers, it goes down to by 99 and you'll die of old age anyway so it doesnt really work for me
Batman flat-out gives up the Electrocutioner's gloves to GCPD by Arkham Knight. Apparently he "preferred beating up thugs the old fashioned way." We don't know why Bane went after Batman the way he did in this game. It's a huge open plot thread the game went out of its way to leave open (talk to Alfred at a few points after Bane encounters and that one becomes clear). It's one of the reasons I'm still pissed off we never got a direct sequel to this. Huge threads from Bane, Riddler, and Shiva left completely unanswered.
29:14 It seems hes referencing the fact Roger Craig Smith played both Batman in Arkham Origins and Chris Redfield, but Roger only played Chris in Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, and Resident Evil Revelations. He never played Chris in the original Resident Evil nor the 2002 Gamecube Remake
27:00 I would disagree here about Joker, Strange and City, Hugo acts more as a greater scope villain than a big bad; while he is responsible for the creation of Arkham City and he is preparing to enact Protocol 10, until the moment he finally enacts it you don't really focus much on Strange; between the first and last campaign visits to the Steel Mill, your actions are directly focus around Joker and finding a cure for the TITAN poisoning that he infected Batman with, even then, Strange suffers the same bait and switch as Bane inDKR with the reveal that someone else is the real mastermind, an Al Ghul in both cases; Talia for Bane, Ra's for Strange
My gripe with these kinds of sins videos is they never know when to actually give the thing they critique a sin or make a joke and not explain why it is bad and sin it anyway.
It's hard not to want to go to the first one's video and dislike it, but you put him and the rest where they deserve so fine that I don't feel the need to. Good job, ClownPuncher.
@@Droidsbane Yeah when I made that comment I had completely fucking forgotten about Mark Hamil, besides some people think Heath Ledger is the best Joker. It was also probably like really late so I blame sleep deprivation XD
9:11 FUN FACT: In the pre-alpha version of the game, there was extended dialogue from Alfred "You know, I made a promise of my own to your parents. If I hadn't called the police, you would be dead! Is that what you want? Is that why you do this every night?" If the developers kept that in the game, then Charriii5 wouldn't have sinned this.
18:03 as someone who plays Origins, it crashed THREE GODDAMN TIMES YESTERDAY! And the funny thing is, it never did before or after... I don't know what caused Origins to start tweaking like that, but I'm afraid of whatever it was💀.
30:37 In Arkham Knight you can See them confiscated in the Evidence room. You may ask why not just take it back like the Remote Electrical Gun, because that’s his and the Gloves are not, along with what ClownPuncher139 said, they may have been too Brutal in his eyes as he Matured.
I agree, but some of the other things Batman did to people in Knight really makes me think you should've been able to use the shock gloves. However, I am biased on this small matter, because I loved the shock gloves, and really just wanted to use them again in Knight. lol
He doesn't take the gloved because: 1: They take out thugs too easily (By this point Joker had taken hold of a lot of Batman, and he doesn't want to shock people unconscious). 2: They could be tracked the same way he tracked Electrocutioner to the Royal Hotel 3: His suits might not be compatible, the Arkham City suit is made of fibre (Hence it wouldn't connect) while the 8.03 suit is too advanced. The gloves fit in neither. They fit in the Origins suit because the Origins suit is a modified armor suit similar to the ones used by armored thugs. 4: It's still GCPD property, the REC belongs to him cause he's still alive 5: It reminds him of not just Electrocutioner, who he couldn't save, but also all the other people he let die that night (Loeb, Judge Harkness, the various people in the crime scenes including his rich friends who die in Crime Alley, Sionis' girlfriend, the secretary, various guards and of course Alfred almost died that night. All of this combined with his conflicted feelings in Knight just make him feel terrible
23:46 They don't talk about it too much, but if you listen and look in Penguin's office, you'll know that Penguin was selling weapons to the assassins, specifically Deathstroke, Bane and Firefly, so he was probably going there anyway to get some more ammo, or he had a feeling Batman was gonna look for Penguin for info, so why not hang back until he's not looking?
But if you kill 100 killers then the amount of killers decreases by 99. You gotta admit insane or not joker would be labeled a terrorist. He full well knows what he’s doing and takes joy in doing it. And the countless times he’s broken containment only to kill again… there’s a limit, corrupt justice or not there’s a limit *somewhere*

This is only his third overall interaction, and two of the the three times he's 'met' with Batman he was committing a crime in Gordon's eyes (Breaking and Entering at the Police Station and Murder.)
So no, Gordon should NOT know Batman well enough at this point to know he wouldn't murder Bane and instead made it look like he did.
I feel like you are forgetting that Batman straight up says Bane isn't dead to Gordon, and then tells him he is about to resuscitate Bane.
To be honest with the copperhead thing. If she did keep him fighting or physically exerting himself longer it would have killed him. The more he moves, the more oxygen is exhaled, leading the neurotoxin to flow through his system much faster.

@@liammrpersonal can't say I disagree with you
Arkham Origins is precious and should be protected at all cost.

This Joker is still new being the Joker and given his ruthless and violence nature it make sense he should be serious and dark.
I tried it. It was too heavy and it slowed me down"
Actually in this CG trailer Troy did Black Mask's voice when Black mask appeared. I noticed IT not too long ago and i loved it
16:56 Hell something similar happens in the DLC for Spider-Man PS4.
Exactly, I was thinking the same thing, the most wanted missions, I loved those.
I think this was because of the thugs who had ice guns in Cold Cold Heart
If I'm correct, Gotham is in the U.S. it's illegal to incorporate the death penalty on the criminally insane as far as I know
Yes. However, successfully proving you're insane in court is nigh impossible
" if you kill a killer the number of killers stays the same"-Batman
" that's why you kill more than one"-Red hood , Punisher , Deadpool , literally any other Anti- hero.
15:04 “Alright batman but if you kill like, 100 killers thats like 99 less in the world” -Russianbadger
-23:33 Actually, thinking about it, Electrocutioner does reflect a major character flaw of Bruce in this game; Overconfidence. Lester's overconfidence in his own abilities mean that he wrongly believes he can take Bruce, leading to his immediate downfall, Bruce's overconfidence can be seen in particular in 2 places
#1 Despite Bane knowing his identity Bruce assumes his defences will keep Alfred safe, yes he has no other choice, he needs to save the people on the Bridge, but he is still overconfident in his defences and Alfred pays for it.
29:23 for the resident evil part, he's also wrong there, universal antivenom exists
28:46 You forgot 2 sins here , 1st The way Dartigin prononced " continuity
2nd He said Black Mask isn't brought up again , even though Black Mask later has his own side mission
30:33
Actually, there's a specific explanation as to why Batman didn't keep the shock gloves.

6:48 yeah that is definitely just Troy Baker doing a different voice. I'd know his voice anywhere.

Prior to this he was probably just doing what we see at the beginning of the game interrogating lowlifes and whatnot then he’s fighting psychopaths blowing up building and bridges so obviously they are going to be more publicly seen leading to reporters finally being able to get footage

Here's a good sin no one seems to note; before Bane uses TN-1, he calls Batman "Mr Wayne". He wasn't exactly quiet and there were were a number of prisoners still left observing in the background. No one decided to take up that info?
I’m so glad that origins is being talked in a more positive light. Loved this game since I picked it up
Actually the reason batman doesnt use shocker gloves after shadow (as far as we know) cause joker made too much shocker jokes and batman didnt want to get sued
@ imma disagree a lil bit, I think a man who’s trained himself not to kill will find ways to not kill
"If u kill a killer, the number of killers remain the same" but if u kill 99 killers, it goes down to by 99 and you'll die of old age anyway so it doesnt really work for me
Batman: if you kill a killer the number of killers in the world stays the same.
Raiden metal gear: kill two.
Batman flat-out gives up the Electrocutioner's gloves to GCPD by Arkham Knight. Apparently he "preferred beating up thugs the old fashioned way."
We don't know why Bane went after Batman the way he did in this game.
This is the ultimate Christmas gift
i have to admit, electrocutioner's defeat will never not be funny.
I don't get how they keep missing that Bane didn't just lose some memories, he got full on brain damage
Troy was such a good joker and he is the second best animated joker voice in my opinion
I agree
Curious to know, who's the first best?
@@Liam_Phoenix live is heath leager animated is mark its a tie for 1st
@@Liam_Phoenix who do you think?
@@Droidsbane Yeah when I made that comment I had completely fucking forgotten about Mark Hamil, besides some people think Heath Ledger is the best Joker. It was also probably like really late so I blame sleep deprivation XD
9:11
FUN FACT: In the pre-alpha version of the game, there was extended dialogue from Alfred "You know, I made a promise of my own to your parents. If I hadn't called the police, you would be dead! Is that what you want? Is that why you do this every night?" If the developers kept that in the game, then Charriii5 wouldn't have sinned this.
The use of Carol of the bells for the Joker reveal 🔥🔥🔥
However, I am biased on this small matter, because I loved the shock gloves, and really just wanted to use them again in Knight. lol
@@arkhambricksskylar3808 they made him look like he had panda hands in Origins lol
He doesn't take the gloved because:
1: They take out thugs too easily (By this point Joker had taken hold of a lot of Batman, and he doesn't want to shock people unconscious).
2: They could be tracked the same way he tracked Electrocutioner to the Royal Hotel
3: His suits might not be compatible, the Arkham City suit is made of fibre (Hence it wouldn't connect) while the 8.03 suit is too advanced. The gloves fit in neither. They fit in the Origins suit because the Origins suit is a modified armor suit similar to the ones used by armored thugs.
4: It's still GCPD property, the REC belongs to him cause he's still alive
5: It reminds him of not just Electrocutioner, who he couldn't save, but also all the other people he let die that night (Loeb, Judge Harkness, the various people in the crime scenes including his rich friends who die in Crime Alley, Sionis' girlfriend, the secretary, various guards and of course Alfred almost died that night.
It's only after I watched Breaking Bad did I realize the scene where Batman and Alfred have their argument was an inspired from it.
Why do all the sin videos that talk about Arkham games keep mentioning lap dances?
Also, I understand why Bane thinks that killing the embodiment of his fear will free him from living in fear, but I love the line, "Don't expect ration in a supervillain's motivation when they're literally addicted to drugs," heheheheheheheheh!
15:03 I hear you, trust me i hear you. But if you kill like 30 killers that number goes down by like 29
Arkham Origins is awesome. I love the characters and the simple story it tells. The set up for the future of the characters is done extremely well.
