Thank you for your explanation! It help to know what is going on with the back of my feet. It was definitely a shoe that caused the tenderness. I had put ice and taking Motrin for a few days, however, the pain continues. I was thinking to buy a pair of backless shoes and in your video you recommend the same.
Hopefully, I will feel better with the new shoes. Thank you!!

How do you differentiate between superficial calcaneus bursitis and Haglunds deformity? Even thou I'm absolutely sure the cause for whatever is at the back of my heel is my shoe (literally started on one foot a few days after I bought the pair), so maybe bursitis? but it feels pretty hard and looks like Haglunds deformity?

put a tennis ball on the floor , put your foot on ball and work that ball around up and down the bottom of your foot you will feel the tight spots , just keep doing every night , you might have to stop cause it can get a little painful , just work that around , difficult at first chasing that ball but keep on , you will feel it loosing up that tendon and in most cases fixes the problem , fyi

I've had a superficial blister from tight boots many times, but never a deep inflammation. But now my foot is swollen behind the tendon for no apparent reason. No injury or increase of stress. It hurts really bad in the morning after sleep. Walking pumps the inflammation out. Cold temperature is deceptive. The pain comes back worse like a tsunami wave afterwards. Ibuprofen and Ketoprofen are surprisingly effective.

I was skateboarding and landed on my heel in an awkward way and its hurt since. It's been about two weeks. Ima a skater so I just push it off cuz everything seems to heal in time. When I reduce the swelling with ibuprofen I can walk pretty normal but once it wears off I can barely put pressure on it and i have to limp around. My foot is barely swollen to the eye and isn't discolored but its hurts like crazy. Might just be worth a doctor bill that I can't afford

I was at a trampoline park a few weeks ago and jumped on a wall trampoline and it tweaked this area on my good foot!!! needless to say it’s been painful but gradually getting better. Make sure you have a good warmup before skating (I run) and I’ve had to make sure I wear a soft back shoe or it will be killing me! Good luck!

I've got the same problem, been dealing with it for 8 years now, but this year i landed weird on a nollie flip with my whole weight on my back toes, and then boom my heel bone area felt like it completely ripped off. Can't put any weight on it now, I only kept skating on front foot tricks like crooks etc after the injury, thought this way it will heal up, but when I mess up a trick I be having to land on my hurt foot, which gets it back to that strong pain I first got off it. Any idea to heal this up would be much appreciated guys.

My pain is mostly when I touch only. It’s on the back of the heel to the sides. It’s a sensitive bruise-like pain. The tendon is not sore walking or touching. It’s when I press on the side ankle bone on both sides of tendon. It’s not the specific areas in this video. Is there birsa on the back sides of the tendon? I don’t feel any issues in the space under the tendon just before the bone.

I heard a pop on my foot about a month ago. And now every morning I feel the soreness next to my Achilles heel with tenderness and aching pain until I’m completely busy moving at work.
I hope there’s more exercises or something I can take to help it

I hear u.. I have pain when I get out of bed in the morning. Feels like needle pins on the bottom of my feet when I stand up out of bed, and after a few steps my feet sound like a firework spectacular. So sad I haven’t ran since 2019.
