- Hello everyone! Happy New Year!
Our friends from Fuumuui sent us these products. I am not used to painting using mini palettes as small as the Walnut by Fuumuui's, but to my surprise, I easily got comfortable using it. I am happy it worked for the pad I chose and the best thing I personally loved was that the mixing palette didn't get stains. Please watch before buying and you be the judge yourself. :)

So cute. I use full pans though, I think I would feel cramped using this.
That's what i initially thought. Maybe you should use halfpans set first for transition. Haha 😄
Adorable palette!! I do once wished to get one of these bad boys but didn't really went out and forked on them as i realized I don't paint much at outdoors hahahahaha
That's fine. Hahaha. But in case, this palette works well indoors say at cafes or even at home. An added challenge and fun for its size. 😊
I’m glad I found your channel. Mabuhay!!! Love your work!!
Hello po. Welcome to mh channel. 🙏 😉
I have the same Fuumuui travel brush set and I adore it! The brushes far surpassed my expectations for the price, absolutely brilliant. 👌🏻
Now you've also tempted me to buy the palette instead of carrying round my big one 😅
I totally agree! Got the same thoughts on their brushes. The palette isn't super special but rather a more dedicated palette for specific users or purpose. But i didn't expect it would work for me so far. 😊
I’m here for the grape painting. Last year I drew and painted one wash on a small bunch of grapes, but then I was too intimidated to finish it. After watching your painting I might go back and finish it. Yours turned out great!
That sounds great! I'm glad you are now encouraged to finish it. Sure you can. 😊
배경의 새소리가 듣기 좋아요😄 영상 잘 봤습니다👍🏻
I'm glad to know you enjoy the birds. Thank you.
Wow That's Small watercolor Palette
Yes it is cute and small. 😊
After watching your video, I ordered one using your code for a friend of mine who's always on the hunt for a better quality, tiny palette for her plein air painting. It arrived, and it's nicer than I expected, has no varnish or chemical smells, and it does come with the clip. Tomorrow, I'm gong to fill the pans with Daniel Smith watercolors so it's ready for her birthday on the 15th. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for using the code. And yes, i agree that the palette looks better in actual. You are the sweetest friend. She's gonna love it for sure. 🙏
Greetings from Toronto Ontario 🇨🇦 I have that same set of 3 Fuummi travel brushes in the faux leather case. The case is embossed with the name: POTENTATE. I've yet to use them. Bought them to add to my traditional Chinese brushes collection. The art world's gone crazy for imitation synthetic hair brushes. Fortunately I can still get hogs hair brushes for my oil painting. Guess people don't care about pigs only squirrels. 🙄 I love painting small and just received 3 small 100% cotton 300gsm watercolor books ordered from Amazon. One is 12x12cm and two are 10x10cm. I bought them under the name: LIGHTWISH, but just like the brushes they came labeled: potentate. Anyway, they're absolutely beautiful little books; real keepsakes for your paintings. I haven't painted in them yet; still deciding what theme I want to dedicate each book to: flowers, birds, architecture 🤔 Im not sure yet. I've been eyeing these tiny palettes as they seem to be the latest trend in must have art supplies. I'm coveting them not because I need one but just because I'm addicted to buying art supplies; my hobby I guess 😅 Think I'll go ahead order this little Fuummi palette to go with the Fuumi brushes and start painting in my beautiful little Wishcraft books. Really enjoy your channel, Jay, with your honest and detailed reviews with sample paintings of the paints used on the swatch card. What an excellent way to end a swatching exercise by keeping an example of the paints right there next to the swatches. Cheers 🫠
That palette is super adorable. I neeed to noottttt be tempted to get anotherrr palette, already got an adorable one on route lololol lovely painting them grapes look so tastey
Hahaha. My bad for causing another probable item on your cart. ✌️ but, thanks for watching and for appreciating my work. 🙏
Glad to have just come across your channel - subscribed! I have always wanted to get one of these - thank you so much for the demo and your thoughts. I LOVE your art!
Thank you so much, and welcome to my channel.
Great review Jay and the painting was amazing!
Thank you so much. 🙏
That is so cute, and your painting looks great! Those grapes look yummy!
Yay! Thank you so much 😀
waittttttt, that's kind of a cool idea thu, using a separate sketchbook for a specific subject. I'm kind of thinking cafe sketchbook, where i just paint everything i eat at a cafe. thanks for this idea, arch. allan. Can't wait to visit a cafe😄
Hahah. Yes, because I have many sketchbooks. So, i needed to organize them by assigning a subject per book. Problem is, i haven't finished one yet.Hahah. My 1st sketchbook was the random one, kaya siya palang ang na finish.hehe. magandang idea yung cafe sketchbook. Nakaka-taba nga lang and magastos.. haha
Nice output😊! 💙💜💚
Thank you! 🤗
Love your painting and omg the palette is so cute! I love Fuumuui's products I was never disappointed with them 🥰
Thank you. 🤩 I'm glad you're happy with Fuumuui products.
Hi! Can you do the korean Alpha Artist watercolor review?❤
I will try. Currently the only supplier here offers them at a very expensive price.. even more expensive than Mission Gold.
Beautiful palette to add to my small collection ! Do they mail to the USA ? Thanks .
Yay. It truly is a cute, tiny palette. 😊 i believe they ship to the US. I saw in their website banner that it says " Free shipping all over the world" 🙏
This box is not badly designed but the size of its pans looks like they are made with the sole purpose of ruining the points of our ( rather expensive) travel brushes. This will not happen as long as the paints in the pans are still soft out of the tube but when they dry. I can't see a way to load even the smaller brush with paint without having to scrub the paint with the point of your brush even if you prewet them ( spray them with water) in advance.
The bixoux boxes loaded with some extra colours in the middle raw look as a better option to me as you can attach them on the smaller of sketchbooks with a magnetic clip.
I agree that this palette is far from standard and may harm brushes.. unless you really use the really tiny ones. This palette is best and meant for micro painitings and detail brushes. 😉
@@AllanJayQuesada Even worst I'd say. It is the points of the miniature brushes those that you have to preserve more because it is so easy to ruin them.
@creativecolours2022 the micro pans got the same corners and angles as the halfpans and full pans. I think for as long as one uses brushes smaller than the micro pans' mouths, it should be fine. It's a matter of proportion. Miniature painters aren't usually rushy, so they can be more careful. 😊
@@AllanJayQuesada How much smaller...? :)
The right way to load the brush with colour is by sliding the side of the brush on the paint. So if the pans or the palette wells are not large enough to be able to slide the whole length of your brush you will end up picking up colour with its point. And that is what can ruin the brushes in a matter of hours. Particularly the miniature ones.
From my experience the larger brush that you can use on half pans is up to 4 and in full pans up to 8.
I'm talking about natural hair brushes of course that are the most expensive and difficult to replace ones. But if you are careful enough to preserve the points of your natural hair brushes they can last literally for ever. I have a set of red sable Raphael brushes for more than twenty years and are still like new. But I don't mix with these brushes, and I never load them from dry pans or palette wells. I pre wet the paints and I wait a bit to soften and I always use a different brush for mixing. I premix the colours and then paint with these brushes because it would cost me 500 euros to buy this set now if I ruined them.
