Found this very useful. Are you sure that the "Auto Rest" is just to keep the HVAC on "Auto"? I thought it was to keep warm air circulating for about 20 minutes once the car was turned off on a cold day...
It has a double function. When the car is on, it's just "auto climate" when you turn off the ignition it does the war air circulation. We don't exactly need that here in Florida lol
Another of your excellent, easy-to-follow, informative videos!! If Ocala wasn't so far from Connecticut, I would buy my car from your dealership. I am currently waiting for my local Porsche dealer to have an allocation for a Macan S in April 2023 (after winter) before I place my order. I have two questions: (1) where does Porsche get its traffic information? I have been using Waze on my iPhone for many years and have been impressed with their time estimates for destination arrival based on traffic, so I was wondering how accurate Porsche's prediction of destination arrival times will be; (2) I am very interested in using Apple CarPlay via Bluetooth with my phone placed in the center console charger. You indicated that setting up Apple CarPlay would require a separate video, so I was wondering if you have already done that. Thanks for your excellent videos!!
(1) Even checking the internal documents for Porsche Connect, no info is given about the actual source of the traffic info. The subscription for it is through "My Porsche" which is an account for all sorts of in car services like traffic info, navigation updates, etc. (2) I have NOT made an apple Carplay video as of yet, for a simple reason, I don't have an Apple phone! lol, so I need to borrow a co-workers phone in order to film it.

I'll see how the traffic and estimate of destination arrival compares with Waze. If you were in my area, I would be happy to loan my iPhone to you so that you would have an opportunity to do another of your excellent, instructive video explanations. Thanks again for your videos!

Are you sure that the button you called LKA is not LDW. My 2023 Macan S shows it as LDW. The LKA was an option I passed on.
If it has the little steering wheel icon on the button, then its LKW.
Does it have remote stare
No, no porsche in the US technically has remote engine start, hybrids and electric vehicles can use preconditioning to cool down the car, but thats it.
Oh the dealer “rip off” sticker. I thought Porsche didn’t allow dealerships to scam customers?.

How is this the 2023 model if you are filming in 2022?
Just how the car industry works. Typically new year models start popping up in june/july. So 2023 models started to show in July of 2022.
Happens pretty regularly. it's pretty weird if you aren't used to it.

15:40, I think the car will warn you that you are drifting out of the lane but it will not steer itself back. Good video otherwise.
Depends on packaging. There's lane departure warning and Active Lane keep assist. they used to show different buttons depending if you had the feature or not. Now they use the same icon.
Is there a compass? If so where is it?

@@kevinschochat5559 Unless you know how to navigate the submenus within the cluster display and customize the vehicle menu page then remember to save it to the key, not really. It's pretty hidden.

Dang, I wish my mom drove one growing up.
I wanted to buy a Macan but read it was basically an Audi Q5 and was prone to extremely costly oil leaks from the timing cover above the skid plate. I have since changed my mind.
Whoever told you that didn't know what they were talking about especially since the Macan has a 100% different engine, drive train, and transmission than the Q5 and shares none of that with the Audi. Porsche said that it would have been actually less expensive to start from scratch than to use the Q5 platform. The final result is a totally different car and which is why the GTS is THE number 1 performance compact SUV on the market. Period.

Timing cover leaks ended with the 2018 model year and it was only on the V6's
Macan fun car but horrible control interface
I love it, very simple and easy to use. My favorite is still the 718 due to just how simple it is.
