As a Diamondbacks fan, Randy was our Sandy Koufax. He has twice as many total victories and more Cy Youngs.

Man a how has no one cast him as a villain in a movie with his voice and size man on man.
Or better yet a buddy comedy with Randy and Boban would be amazing.
Also great interview Randy proves to be more than just a power arm far more strategic and methodic in his approach to pitch than most people realize. Wish there were more intense mean pitchers who would command respect on the mound.

Never forget Don Drysdale and hit batsmen. He had 154 hit batters and one to Dick Dietz of the Giants was nullified which allowed him to continue his record breaking scoreless inning streak. Randy Johnson is always great on your show! Thanks.

Nolan is a once in a life time pitcher also because he stayed pretty healthy throughout his career. Are there pitchers as talented as Nolan? Yes, but most of them couldn’t last. Availability is a talent.

There is a documentary, for those of you who haven't seen it, called "Fastball" narrated by Kevin Costner. It's a true must see for ALL baseball fans and especially those of us who love power pitching. Of course The Big Unit is in it.

Johnson is the closest thing we have to a Bill Walton type anymore... he's not quite there yet though. Randy's got that inquisitive, silly, prankster vibe like Big Red had which makes him fun to listen to on almost any subject

very humble. but he would still dominate hitters today.

Dan doesn't give away anything but he will ask for a heisman or Cy young award

Randy Johnson gave me nightmares as a Yankees fan but he was awesome to watch and a great interview.
I always thought righties hit righties better than lefties hit lefties bc you get way more reps vs them
Imagine trying to baby RJ pulling him early when he was pitching great.
