What made Final Fantasy IX a perfect game to me:
1) Best ps1 graphics
2) The story and characters
3) The Music,
4) The pacing and progression
5) Comedic, with a classy touch
+NightLordq I loved how not anime it was, and how none of the characters were emo cliche's like cloud and Squall, and Yuna, and every FF protagonist since 6
ntm the fact that coming off two games with a brooding protagonist, this game was a breath of fresh air with a protagonist that didn't take matters too seriously. No matter how bad things got he would try to brush it off with a certain level of snark. Then there is also the fact of a villain just as good as Kefka that makes Sephiroth look like a little bitch in comparison.
I think Celes' being emo was well developed in 6...
Vivi is enough for liking FFIX it brought a new aspect to Black magicians.

I hope if there is a FF9 remake, Square Enix looks to this medley. It is so well done. I have listened to this so many times, it is unreal. A thousand times - thank you so much for creating this and Part 2.
Final Fantasy 9 is one of my favourite games of all time. I'll never forget the good ol' days of playing it back at home when I lived with my family.
I feel the same. Final Fantasy is undoubtedly related to my childhood memories.

I've seen this so many times, and I still get blown away every time. Man, this is truly an epic summary of all that is FFIX! Of course, Uematsu is king of composing aweinspiring melodies, but this medley really brings it over the top. Hands down one of the greatest videos on RUclips.

Awe-inspiring, absolutely fantastic work! I loved the transitions from one song to another and the nice little details you added to the mix, the best example of which would be the solo with several hints to other themes you played on the Burmecian theme. Very nice work!
