warner music group lost in vegas zacky vengeance a7x reaction rev
The "problem" with The Stage is, that you can only fully appreciate it, if you hear all the different layers of the instruments. This song offers so much, you can't even hear half of it when you listen to it for the first time. It's a masterpiece.
I got REAL shook for a second. then I read the whole comment. thought you were about to legit say there was a SINGLE problem with this perfect song.
well said. I know this band probably better than anyone. and This is EASILY in the top 10 best songs they've ever written.
Well said. Liked it right away and over the years have grown to worship it lmao
The only part I’m kinda “meh” on is from 6:53-7:22. But legendary track regardless.
@@DonovanGG__ I genuinely believe that segment is the best part of the entire song, I love the different arpeggiated shapes and how they change in variance so slightly but just enough to build tension into the next chorus.
4:23 Alex: “that’s some game of thrones shit right there”
Me: “that was based on the Salem Witch Trials”
Band Man Licensing so is it the guillotine part that he was talking about then?
Band Man Licensing if you listen when the guitar solo comes in I believe it’s about 10-15 seconds off.
No one accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Trials were burned at the stake. They were either hung, drowned, or beheaded but they were never burned. That only happened in Europe.
The burned at the stake scene, I believe was Joan of Arc. And the guillotine part was Marie Antoinette .
@@lupuscorvus841 Bless you for clearing that up for the masses! Common misconception but, reading the words atop The Stage as "Remarkable HISTORY" was a huge clue for me! SO much misunderstood symbolism in this video!
People who say A7x is "commercialized" or "radio friendly" haven't listened to anything they write outside of the 5 or 6 songs that got major radio play. A7x are one of the few modern metal bands that will write 8, 9, heck, even 12 minute ballads, with many shifting musical styles contained in one song. They have quite the variety of sounds in their various albums, and are not for those with short attention spans.
FINALLY someone said it, THANK YOU totally agree with you
Finally!!! Thank you!
lol because a little piece of heaven is so radio friendly... as if haha
@TheFirstNobodyTheFirstNobody kinda hard to compare bands as being better than one another. It's like comparing potatoes and tomatoes. Both round, both full of goodness, but one is not necessarily better than the other. Each has its own place and tastes delicious in its own right. And a sprinkling of each in your diet is a good thing.
I 100% agrer with you! They are fucking gods!
AVENGED SEVENFOLD is my favorite band
Mine too🤟
Miguel Veilleux same!
Oh fuck yes!
I don’t get why these kids parents are letting them listen to this modern day music when this is the music they should be growling up with heavy metal and rock
Me too brother
I'm so happy! I adore Avenged Sevenfold with all my heart.
I hope you've thought of Avenged Sevenfold Live In The LBC, I'd love to see you react to one of their best concerts with their drummer The Rev. I'm sure you're gonna enjoy it.
Have a dope ass day!
Yes! Live in the LBC is a great watch! Check it out!
@@LeglessWonder thanks for helping me out dude 🙏🏻
Critical Acclaim is amazing during The LBC
@@st528armassacre9 I totally agree, The Rev's vocals are PHENOMENAL on this song
Metalhead. issues6661 I really wished they would’ve made the studio version like that
"Save Me" or "Victim" -Avenged. Both are masterpieces imo
finally someone that understands
Save me is literally godly. My fun fave is a little piece of heaven
victim definitely has a top 10 guitar solos by syn
Save me is one of the most underrated song of A7x. A true masterpiece
@@Sobitachi higher is the most underrated song and also until the end
I guess your reaction wasn't synchronous to the music video...
yeah that was the only thing that annoyed me about this
Yup you can even hear the audio of what he is actually listening to through the clip sometimes.
@@Thomazo17 during one of the slow solo
I wonder if he just synced it up wrong or something? I remember when he was listening to Smells Like Teen Spirit and This is the Time (the only two videos I saw it happen in) he sped them up to avoid copyright and stuff, but this time it seems totally normal speed. After reading the comment I realized his screen is flashing white before the bombs start falling, I guess I was too focused on watching the music video itself to notice!
@@Falkuzrules he`s voice is even pitched a bit higher so he sped up only his part (?)
"This is a Crazy concept!?"
Actually no Alex, the crazy concept is that we've been lied into this for so long. Why do you think he's screaming Wake Up!?
I think he was referring to it being done with puppets but I may be wrong
Yes wake up but are you ready to see the truth, choose the right pil.
@@Hokuto4life Imma take the red one thank you :)
SECOND HEARTBEAT BY AVENGED SEVENFOLD
It's a banger
probably one of my favorite solos is from this song, love it love it!!

Recommandation : Avenged Sevenfold's whole discography
Love the verse "when did the walking ape decide, that nuclear war. Was the only way to keep the score."
Love the video. Based on a quote from A Einstein. "I don't know what weapons will be used in ww3. I do know what weapons will be used in ww4. Sticks and Stones."
Damon Bryan I like the line before too. It’s heavy.
@@jacob.calloway6833 At least, the entirety of The Stage and Exist are much more heavy than most people realize.
"keep away from political propaganda" is not the true message behind them, just the outer layer of meaning
A lot of meaning in the songs these guys make. No wonder I’m a fan.
I just hope it doesn't get to, "He was right".
I get chills every time I heard it
The composition and arrangement of this song is absolute brilliance. An true masterpiece!
You want a song by them that has a message: Critical Acclaim
This one hasnt. Poor soul.
Critical Acclaim is good and has a pretty good message. But The Stages Message is by far superior. Our entire species were fighting each other since day 1.
The wars never ended and many people suffered and died whether it was through War or just blatant killing.
Land has and always will be the key to everything. Land = resources and Resources = weaponry and stock.
This was and still is the main part of fighting between each other, Peace will never be an option and Control will always be there.
Our Leaders are only here to keep the things the way they are with no drastic change towards peace. We will fight one another on a constant basis for generations to come.
But even our leaders are being controlled by ones higher than them who clearly dont want to see change any time soon.
The more and longer we keep fighting the quicker we head backwards to the Ice Age. Everyone will Perish and the world will reset like it never happened for it all to repeat itself once more. And so goes the cycle of the Earth. Created as the higher beings playground and humans ever living nightmare.
We have become something and will eventually become nothing.
That's pretty much the Jist of the message anyway. 👌🏻
TLDR: If we keep fighting and starting wars we will be sent back to the Ice Age where the world will repeat itself in constant war.
@@daedrademonlord8941 Paradigm, Exist, Creating God, Simulation, The Stage, Angels, God Damn, Sunny Disposition. The Stage kicks ass! Theit best album, with a different message and a different tone from their other 6 albums.
@@gabrieldiaz8594 agreed. My second favourite of the lot. Self titled though has my heart. That album is so good!.
Not only was the message about war, killing, and politics, but I like how they sd showed a very "ignorant" crowd laughing and cheering. Its basically saying the majority of the world is a bunch of ignorant fucks. We will never learn from our mistakes
No matter how many times I listen to this song the bridge lyrics are just so chilling and the sound of pain he puts into them is just so haunting. The message even more so. This song literally is telling us to wake up
Exist - Avenged Sevenfold. Its time for you to listen to this one
Agreed
YES
100% agree especially the latter half is just 🔥
YES !!
Would he be willing to do a video just listening to a 15-minute mostly instrumental song? I'm a huge fan of this band and even I would never listen to that again.
16 minutes of pure art? YES PLEASE!!!!
I love the message.....we constantly are fighting. Then when we think we find time for peace, we go right back into fighting. It's just an endless cycle
"It's saying you have to carpe diem, seize the day"
So what you're saying is you'll be reacting to 'Seize the Day' by Avenged Sevenfold next?
I really would love to see you react to the song “Fiction” by our beloved Avenged Sevenfold. But when you do, don’t think about the fact that it’s the last The Rev recorded with the boys and don’t try to picture them hearing the tracks in the studio after Jimmy’s death. No I’m not crying you are
Gives me the chills everytime.. Rip the Rev
Also don't think about the fact that the working title was "Death", The Rev showed it to the band 3 days before his death, and the song reads like a damn suicide note (Yes, I fall into the "The Rev Killed Himself category, no it doesn't make his death any less tragic. Modern metal lost a hell of a drummer that day, and we'll never fully know what was going through his head, so all we can do is theorize. I just think the suicide theory has a lot backing it up)
10:12 “You have to take control, you have to seize the day” you know that’s another song by Avenged Sevenfold, right? Seize The Day? 😂
Alex Hefner: “Hip Hop Head”
Me: sees Metallica poster in the background
MarioFilmsProductions gotta get those clicks, don’t blame him one bit
I hope he paid attention to the solos ...ALL OF THEM!
I was just thinking, “Has Alex reacted to Unholy Confessions yet?” Then I did a search and no, you have not. You should. Studio or Live in LBC.
Definitely studio
98izzark I agree. But from a creative standpoint, and Alex’s usual style, an actual video is better for production value than a lyric video. The official one is kinda meh. Plus, with a live version you get the awesome extended outro.
@@lukehanson126 my problem with the LBC (and most post WTF-era) performance(s) is that he changes the scream and his style on the first two albums are much better than the "I don't wanna scream but need to for this track" style he does now
@@nitsuA_LH They don't sucked live, they've definitely gotten better
@@nitsuA_LH Damn I'd love to see that 😂😂 which year was it? A think a lot of people have that reaction considering they later the shit out of his vocals in the studio and do a few other studio things to it to polish it up without completely changing them.
Please react to "Save Me" by Avenged Sevenfold.
It's a 11 minutes song and i bet you will love every second of it. 🖤🤘
It's dedicated to THE REV.
Basically the entire album of Nightmare it's dedicated to him🤟🤟💀🦇
Yes
„Save Me“ is a great idea, it‘s my 2nd most liked song after „Buried alive“ from that Album
I love the fact Mike Portnoy played the drums on every "Nightmare" track (for recording at least) and even sang some lines in "Welcome to the Family". Of course I like "Save me" a lot...
One of my favourite songs
This song is in my top 5 from them, they just have so many good songs it's hard to choose. The drum and guitar in the intro always gives me goosebumps
Commercial or not, they have the chops to write those progressions and those melodies & harmonies. Haters gonna hate, Avenged has massive talent that is undeniable.
Avenged Sevenfold- Welcome to the family is a definite listen to
That’s actually what got me into metal
GM_Lightbringer same
Avenged Sevenfold has so much in to their songs, one of the few bands that actually can make me cry with their songs👌 I've been listening them since higschool
The stage is about world events that revolves around violence and war and that we as humans can't find another solution
AFTER THE BURIAL - Lost in the Static
This song and its video have sooooooo many undertones to them. It's honestly why I love it so much.
The whole song is both a metaphor for a human maturing from their birth (arriving naked and cold into the world) and the whole human race (no clothes and sleeping in the open).
The second verse talks about seeing the world with child eyes and phantasizing while looking at the world, signifying a single person's childhood, as well as the beginning of the most primitive forms of religions and science. The child follows its heart and feels true freedom and being able to do what it wants, but the early society feels that freedom and control in a sense that they can use the religion and science to control people.
In the third verse the boy becomes a man and in comes a calm sophistication. For a person, this means maturity, while for a society it's the forming of a hierarchy and a system. But this sophistication also leads to ego, making adolescents arrogant and egoistic because they think they know everything, while the society starts thinking they're the greatest and should rule over others because of it.
The mentioning of Jesus being born to die and leaving man to levitate his own to idolize can be seen as the young man understanding that he will eventually die and wanting to do whatever he can to be remembered and idolized, while for the society it's about how all religions with dieties that existed and exist always presented a humanoid figure with special changes as dieties, making gods in their own image. The next 2 lines can be taken as confirmation of that with the "different point of view" referring to the ideas of either man creating gods in his own image, or gods creating man in their own image. It's basically the start of atheism vs theism.
The first part of the bridge talks of the man going through a long and hard life and hoping he can still keep on living and not die soon, remembering his time as a child and when he was in his mother's arms. For the society this line has a much bigger meaning, being the desire to go back to the times when there were no divisions between humans, back to a time when it was simpler and happier. However, time goes in only one direction, leaving us with the next part of the bridge.
During this part, the man's thoughts and desire and the society's thoughts and desire are identical. They realize that it took less time for humans to start thinking about laws to prevent sin than it's taking them now to wake up. They want the walking apes, being all of us humans but mostly referring to those in charge, to wake up and realize that nuclear war (nor any war) is the only solution for them to "keep the score". It basically means that humans have been waging war on each other for longer than it took us to create the very first laws of society and everyone's becoming sick of it.
This is where the chorus really drives the final point home along with the video. We are all the crowd that's watching the stage and at the same time we're the ones performing on the stage. What this means is that we ourselves are the ones to blame for the situation that we're not happy with because we're just watching and not doing anything about it, which is shown by the crowd being just a crowd again when they got put on the stage, whereas every actor on the stage before was active and actively played a role in shaping history and humanity. It's basically all a message to us that we've come to a stand-still as a species in regards to social development. We're just letting ourselves be used like puppets on a stage by those in power, despite us being the ones who should have the power. And above those people is the looming shadow of death which controls all of them, leading them towards caring only about being remembered before they died, which was awakened in them after their adolescence. Or it can be seen as the representation of sin that's controlling them, because it's sins like lust, greed, wrath, envy, etc. that lead people to commit evil. But either way, we're being controlled and we're just sitting and watching instead of doing anything.
This is one of their best songs IMO, very different from most of their work. If you want to see how much they've changed over the years you should watch Chapter Four or Unholy Confessions!
Best songs off that album
This track is, in my opinion, the greatest piece of songwriting this band has put out, hands down. Literally everything about this track is flawless.
Avenged sevenfold ❤❤😍❤😍❤😍❤
The point of the video is that we've been killing eachother since the dawn of time, we're no better now than we were then, now we just have more excuses.
Ice nine kills- Thank god it's Friday
If you love avenged sevenfold and you love the "goosebumps" feeling you have to react to GUNSLINGER, it's one of their most underrated songs, there's almost no reaction to it I think you would definitely love hearing it
You should react to “God Damn” or “Creating God” by Avenged Sevenfold next! They are off the same album as this.
Creating God is maybe the only weak song on the album. Of course it's a fricken amazing song album so that not such bad thing
Come on, do you guys really like that song? I think it's the worst song of The Stage Album, even I think that Dose should be in its place
@@DAngel_93 agreed. Sonically it's just a bit boring
How about Sunny Disposition
@@eviltoad746 great song
A7X started out on the hardcore SoCal scene. Sounding the 7th Trumpet is representative of that, but they didn't want to be trapped in one genre, nor did they want to be controlled.
The guitar technique at the end are arpeggios. Jimmy and Brian came up with a funky way of doing them that helped create their sound.
Avenged sevenfold live at the LBC was amazing i wish you will react to any song by that concert
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this one. It's easily my favourite Avenged Sevenfold song.
As I Lay Dying: Nothing Left. Then a follow up reaction of As I Lay Dying: The Sound of Truth. The videos go together and are amazing!
Spectacular, on every level. I was so enthralled watching the video I forgot to pay attention to the lyrics. Definitely need to hear this again.
More Avenged Sevenfold?
I recommend Unholy Confessions and Hail to the King.
I remember being in Newcastle when this was first released in January 2017. I got to be at one of the first performances that this got played at and it's a memory I won't forget
Listen to "So far away". You can almost hear Syn's heart breaking through his guitar.
opfor509 Syn wrote the whole song for them... All their parts... Drums, vocals, bass, and guitar was all written by him and he did a wonderful job, the song is timeless.
I'm almost certain he has
He already did this one
He actually wrote it about his grandpa that had passed away and then jimmy ended up passing away so he dedicated it to jimmy
@@nickkduhh no one said he didn't...
the music kept playing when Alex started talking at the end of the video and when he said the audience was on stage it was way before the actual video got to that
OH HELL YEAH
+ ALEX why can i hear 2 different audio tracks?!?!? lol
The impression I got from the video is about history, the death, destruction, and power struggles throughout, and how we will become a part of history.
With lyrics like "I arrived naked and cold," we enter the world with nothing. Then we get to "when did the walking apes decide that nuclear war was the only solution for 'em keeping the score," it questions the leadership of our world powers who leverage their power based on how much destruction it can do to humanity. The message ends with "WAKE UP," to recognize our history so we're not doomed to repeat it, to protect ourselves from injustice and tyranny.
Please check out Fit For a King-"the price of agony" you'll love it man

The poppies in the middle of the song/video are a representation of the soldiers who died in combat. That's why the tanks plowed them over. It is showing how we always ignore the death toll of whatever is going on at the moment.

React to Ice Nine Kills "The Silver Scream" album storyline and music videos.
I think message of the music video is really about history repeating itself and that regardless how much people learn about history, they repeat history inevitably. People who think they are only the bystander of history will eventually be put on the stage as the victim of history. And all of that is due to those who are in control of the society have forced you to become the same history that repeats itself.
The MV reminds me of George Orwell’s quote, “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”.
"Save me" is Avenged Sevenfold's best song! You have to do that one.
Been listening to them from the start. F#cking love them and always will!!

It has been characterized as a rock opera, as it features the contributions of various vocalists and musicians and it consists of concept albums.
Some of the guest that have been featured on Avantasia are: Michael Kiske (Helloween), Jørn Lande, Alice Cooper, Klaus Meine(Scorpions), Dee Snider(Twisted sisters), Marco Hietala(Nightwish), Sharon den Adel(Within Temptation), Hansi Kursch(Blind Guardian)

react to avenged sevenfold - seize the day
The song has a lot of themes. From the obvious wakeup call against violence, over political manipulation, up to the metaphysical structure of reality itself and how one might come to terms with the malevolence of reality. Really. Most people just don't realize the depth the song has at first, because the video - while really good - distracts from the text. As Alex said, you could write some great essays about this song. I think it is a modern classic.
Love some avenged sevenfold. Try a reaction to highly suspect, bad flower or emery!
Also, any metal head who doesn’t like avenged, doesn’t like talent. I’ll put their musical talent up against any metal band, especially sinister gates!
