Amazing reaction. Avenged sevenfold is amazing and they are amazing artists and storytellers. M. shadows is a deep thinker and he demonstrated it the best, lyrically, in the last 2 albums. I would recommend doing a deep deep dive into the last album "Life is but a dream..." and then listen to it front to back when you have time to sit and immerse yourself in the story and music for 1 hour. I can tell you're artistic and a deep thinker. Believe me, that album is an experience that will make you think about our and your existence. Again, great reaction!

I am impressed how much you got on your first watch. I had to watch the thing like 4 times to fully get the message. But this music video has so many layers and intertwining themes, it is insane. Top layer: This shows you the messed up history of human violence. 2nd layer: This is a wakeup call (quite literally. They scream at you to wake up at one point) to stop patterns of violence, because the means of war are becoming so destructive that we will potentially wipe ourselves out with the atomic bomb. The neandertal in the end is a homage to Einsteins famous quote: "I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.", because WW3 would be atomic if it went all out and after that human civilization will be destroyed. 3rd layer - the Meta layer: You are part of the audience, watching the stage play for your amusement. You are being criticized for just laughing about history instead of learning from it and becoming active in the world to stop it. At some point, you like the audience in the video, which was hit by the smoke, will be affected, even as an observer. You are making yourself a puppet with your passive behavior, letting the leaders of the world to as they like. 4th layer: Musings about the sense/reason behind the endless cycle of violence. It all actually looks like a stage performance for a cruel god or whoever else is watching. That is literally the chorus "Who is the crowd that peers through the cage, as we perform here upon the stage?". In the very end simulation theory is given as a potential answer. That is that our reality is just a simulation run on a massive computer. The hint towards this is the skeletal hand in the end just resetting the world back to the ice age by pressing the big red button and a voice around that time saying "it is all just a simulation, don't you know?".
