- As more Russian troops head to eastern Ukraine, horrors are being uncovered, in the villages and towns close to the capital, Kyiv.
The Ukrainian authorities have said they're investigating cases of women being raped by Russian forces during their occupation of parts of the country.
They're documenting the alleged crimes, which are among hundreds of cases of atrocities against civilians.
The Kremlin denies that its troops have committed such offences.

Not safe being a woman especially in times of war when the soldiers and the paramilitaries can do horrible things and get away with it. The Russian government should hold accountable for the atrocities we learn every day in Ukraine.

Ukrainian journalists have conducted their own investigations, in particular the story in Bucha about the basement in which the Russians kept 25 Ukrainian women and raped them and haven’t found any evidence of these heinous lies. But who cares about that?

I cried for these women, what was done to them.
Too raw for me. My mum a few years before she died, and when my uncles were all dead told me of her rape during the WW2 in Sydney. She was in the Signal Corps and there were a lot of American soldiers there too. One kept harassing her and one night bailed her up and raped her. She went to her superiors and complained. "She led me on" he defended himself. And they just said to her "Theres a war on- get over it". He kept badgering her saying "we'll do it again". My uncles got him drunk one night and drove him over Sydney Heads into the water- it killed him.
I have never told many people about this, but this struck a nerve.. And she carried that all her life in silence. That is a kind of prison sentence. These women know this.
At least she knew that this rapist received what he deserve.

My condolences. I read and saw an investigative report that was leaked that showed U.S soldiers in Iraq raping I believe a 14 year old girl and killer her and her family afterwards. It was a group of soldier and they even took photos and were sharing it around and that’s how I think it got leaked. Long story short I was a young teenager when I saw the actual photos and it left such a bad memory in my mind. As a Canadian I wished at that time that all U.S soldiers would get killed like dogs like the Black Water mercenaries were killed in Iraq for shooting at civilians. The people had enough and they essentially killed, burned the mercenaries body and hung them on light poles. You can still view the images here online. War is hell and it brings out the worst in everyone. Reading your story has brought back what I didn’t want. I can’t believe how anyone commit such a heinous act. May God punish them in hell.

Hey! I just want to tell you to get it right with God Before you leave this World. God is one and great and all of us humans owe God because we have broken His laws that are carved in our hearts and known as God's ten commandments. The Bible says that there is not one good man and that everyone is condemned by God to pay the price for their sin and that is death. Three days later Jesus was resurrected from death and that showed that he didn’t deserve to die because he was perfect but he taked the punishment of our sin so that we could live with God.
So turn to God and believe in him through Jesus it is the only way to eternal life with God. God also transformed me because I did disgusting things, but when I received Jesus, God began to do his work in me and thanks to the Lord I am saved. God did not want you to be lost so He sent Jesus for your sins. It was therefore Jesus said it’s finished before he died. It means that he had taked the punishment of sin instead of you and me. So please Seek God through Christ for Jesus is only way. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life nobody comes to the father except through me. So please turn to Jesus and get salvation before you die. You don’t know when you gone die it could be tomorrow or today. Every day 150 thousand people due and they didn’t know that. The same cruel and awful things did Ukrainian soldiers in Donbass in 2014 with own civilian people. The whole Ukrainian volunteer unit "Tornado" was dismissed and many it's commanders were charged when Ukrainian side didn't manage to blur crimes of this unit. But this was exceptional example, still in common there were many incidents Ukraine Army, Volunteer military units and SBU robbing, kidnapping and raping and torturing civilians in Donbass and even Ukraine controlled territory since 2014.

This was hard and sickening to watch especially the story about the 16 year old being raped in the street in front of her own sister truly made me sick to my stomach, this is a war crime and must not go unpunished all who did this must be held accountable.
