God bless Delvin, his family, and all of the people impacted by this tragedy in South Africa
This is a story about humanity... so lets keep everyone in our prayers
When she said one of them was Delvin I said "YES" out loud. I felt so drawn into this 2min video. May God be with all those impacted!
I was born and raised in George where my dad worked as a building inspector from the late 70's to early 2000's. I distinctly remember visiting building sites, with my dad during holidays . You would often see a site stand still for a week or two after every foundation/slab was cast. During this period the slab would be kept wet to slow curing and keep temperatures down in the concrete. It no longer happens.
It does still happen. We follow strict protocols, been building in this area and surroundings over 20 years and ALL our buildings still stands. Does not mean that all contractors follow rules and regulations, Most do. We have loads of health and safety regulations which we adhere to! Do not shed the whole country in the same light!!! Build with righteousness and integrity and not with corruptive ways …you shall reap the fruit of what you sow.
@@kzp5249did the commentator say anything in GENERAL about SOUTH AFRICA? I suggest you read the comment again - slowly.
Its not done to slow cooling. Concrete needs moisture to cure, if you lose moisture it loses strength. If you wanted to keep temperatures lower you'd use an admixture

They will be fine, South Africans are the most enduring people on Earth...i cannot give up hope at all,i simply have to believe that 🙏🏾.
Prayer for their safe and sound rescue
@@AliKhan-qm3xz yes, thank you. X
His son did come out alive, glory be to god, plus thankyou to all the rescuers
What's happening in George is a absolute tragedy and my prayers and thoughts are with those families affected by the collapse.
May god help everybody who was affected by this tragedy.
Oh no that's awful all those who are trapped and their families are in my thoughts and prayers.
Surely the owners/investors /builders/architects etc etc should be held accountable for this tragedy -WTF ??????
In south africa criminals get away with anything
In south africa yeah its a lawless 3rd word gangster paradise country .where criminals are treated well and citizens like trash by a communists gov posing as a Democrat un corrupt gov for the last 20yr easy since Zuma era and cyril the spinless squirrel under mbeki and Mandela we were doing well enough
People on the scene need prayers, not judgement. I prayer for all families who lost loved ones. Look in the mirror when you judge.
Prayers will help, will they?
Just want to add on what you said, Pathan.
My mother always told us as children: "Never point your finger at anyone. If you look at your hand you will see more fingers points back to you"
Let us keep all these people in our prayers

So very sad
In my thoughts and prayers ❤
I’m very sorry for the South African people who have purchased flats in this block.
Chinese tv had a different report on this. BBC focus on the suffering of victims, all black. Chinese focused on the rescue leaders, all white, and the challenges they faced rescuing people.
Different styles: Emotion v analysis.
Ohw my God this is so breaking my heart 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭
Very sad😢
This is all happening like 2km away from me. It was like a movie when it collapsed
What surprises most are the few rescue workers and little heavy duty lifting and removing machines on this emergency operation for a 5 storey building collapse involving 81 trapped persons. At that slow speed its going to take several weeks to rescue and recover.😢
It's like the rescue operation chiefs already decided the fate of the workers under the rubble.
😢
They couldn't go in with heavy machinery when they knew that there were still people alive under the rubble, because it was too unstable. Four stories collapsed into the basement. Now that it is becoming a recovery mission, they are bringing in heavy equipment.
This is a situation that very rarely happens in SA.
Not true. Don't judge.
How many rescue workers did you count? Typical armchair judge 😂
Prayers 🙌 🙏

The level of reporting was very high, they even had VNs and everything.

What caused the building to suddenly collapse? Was there an earthquake?
It was still being constructed. Only construction crew were on site.
Great government they have. Such an improvement.
International search & rescue teams should have been called upon to assist !!!!!
Oh no, that would be called neocolonialism
Yes, there ARE teams who are trained from all over South Africa, helping, who have had experience world wide!! Sniffer dogs are working there as well.
Why international. Do you think South Africans not capable? There are teams there that help internationally. This is not an expansive area either
@@gillievano1612
There are certain teams eg. Topos (the moles) from Mexico who are world renowned, who are MORE experienced. That takes nothing away from the work done by the SA teams.
This guy was rescued
Symbolic of that country’s slow decay into chaos and corruption. So terribly sad that it now cannot even keep the innocent safe.
Tony and Bruce....
Just imagine the people of Palestine 🇵🇸 who had to go through this every day.
This is what happens when you have B-BBEE companies/"tenderprenures" building things. You get sub quality workmanship with sub quality building materials. They don't care that they may be putting people's lives at risk!
But was not BEE tendership this one
@@siyathuse8389True I did my research as well
The company is white-owned! carry on then, you racist fariki!🙃
Interesting perspective, it says
alot about you than the situation… it might be true and it might not be. But from my own experience I doubt thats the problem.
Usually, I dont see buildings falling, as I work with architects and engineers. My first thought didn’t go to BBE… I wondered how many faults were ignored on the drawings by all professions or old revisions that circulated on site by builders without them knowing … construction site need a very organised project management and very strict or things can go side ways very quickly…
Do a follow-up on the story. You are in for a huge surprise, oh pale one in Africa. We await your sorry ass response.
File ICJ complaint against South Africa
What are you on about??
real news option 😮😮😮😮
😢😢😢
I never saw such a lack of urgency in a disaster rescue mission. Clip after clip from different media outlets showing 'rescuers' standing around, chatting, smiling, whilst reports are being given of the still vast number of missing. And reports that the majority of the workers were foreign, which explains the lackadaisical attitude. I've never seen anything like it. South Africa is a sick country in so many ways. The president of the country has only just roused himself to visit the site. Perhaps temper how you treat people in your own country whilst rightly taking Israel to task for how they are treating the Palestinians . You need to not live in a glass house if you are throwing stones.
Can this reporting be any longer?
Was it mosad
😳
Chinese standards are not so good in construction
這麼長一句英文,我只看懂南非
3rd world construction .
Look at that uncured cement.
So much for BBEE civil engineers.
Especially when the company is white-owned. Racist much! I wonder what will be your come back then.
Must be project from CHINA 😂😂
omg
lol
check idf
it's never bbc's building
I remember SA will arrest returning Jews, a co incident?
They are not ordinary Jews they are the members of genocider army
So sad to see that these inocent people were among the victims of wrath of their AllahuAkbar. Their allahuakbar was randomly casted his demonic power on them, when he just could only select some great sinners like President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The people must remove the sick extreme right from international communities because it is a party that does not care about the reputation and image of its society for the sake of its own interests, as is clear.
With all due respect, what does what you are referring to, have to do with a building collapse in South Africa? They have an extreme left wing government.

Instead of fixing the mess in the country, South Africa is busy taking Israel to international court, just to divert the attention from the actual issue at home. 🤑🤑🤑🤑
Seriously... the South African people can't be held responsible for what the government did...most South Africans don't support the government...but hwre you are with a lack of humanity and empathy... shows the type of person u are
But the people who caused the incompetence were not ANC members for a change. So Palestine and Israel were not a factor here
@@RastaAfricanGentleman That why are people taking the traffic lights poles and selling ? you don't have police to stop those illegal activities ?
Is it my imagination, or is this 'building collapse" business in these African nations sort of a common occurrence ever so many months or years?
Buildings collapse all over the world including in African countries too. Engineers and companies that cut costs normally experience such cases.
@@RastaAfricanGentleman I agree, and we had a high-priced condo building collapse right here in southern Florida not too long ago, and it too was more than likely the result of greed/avarice. Still, there seems to be more such collapses in these African nations.
It’s your imagination definitely. This happens all over the world!!!
@@kzp5249 Some statistician will come along with the recorded facts and then officially either confirm or deny my speculation. We'll just have to wait and see.

She's one of the very rare beauties of BBC or maybe, she's the only one! Everyone else is ancient and part of the history already.
You're ageist. Shame. Let her unpack her knowledge, insight and wisdom and let's compare it to that of the ancient ones. This is not a Hollywood movie. When she turns 50, she may t still want a job.
