The media really, really need to stop with this line of interviewing. These people have been through hell already, so stop asking them to describe how they are "feeling" about things. Ask them about facts and events, things that happened, and stop trying to evoke even more pain from them for the camera.
@@noot4213 Of course she did, but too often in these interviews the line of questioning seems to be engineered to evoke an emotional response for the camera. This one isn't particularly bad, but it's sometimes so obtuse that it seems cruel.
Just wanted to say thank you, Anastasiia. You are very brave to come on international news and share your experiences. You're in my thoughts and prayers!

I'm so happy she escaped. Those Russian soldiers have been lied to their entire lives. It's sad to believe in a lie. The entire world is against Russia and the people don't even know. Slava Ukraini.
Actually, most of them know that pretty well. Especially the elders are happy to live like back in their Soviet isolation times. They do not care in their last 1-2 decades how people abroad think about them. And the younger generation are scared to hell. No motivation, no backbone, no future perspective. That's how slaves are made.
@@Anno_Nymouse Very similar to Ccp China. When i was young i thought hearing" reds under the bed" ( Communism ) was exaggerated. Now I realize how foul Dictators/ tyrants control the citizens by fear and propaganda. I despise the individuals that do these evil things.
I hope this woman is safe. The soldiers are despicable, terrorising civilians, killing civilians. The invasion and military engagements are bad enough, but this treatment of civilians, women, children, is awful.
Ukraine has killed civilians in this war too. Welcome to war bud, civilians die on a regular basis. For example, the US is responsible for almost 50k civilian deaths, many of whom were children. Let's not forget the US is responsible for the children starving to death in Yemen with our blockade to assist the Saudis and their guerilla war with Yemen. Like it or not, civilians die en masse in all wars. This is why all wars are evil and all (in reference to nations, not soldiers) who fight in a war are bad, just some worse than others.
I'm so very thankful that this young lady was able to escape. It's very heartbreaking to see people who were having normal, happy and safe lives being ripped from everything they knew, built or were building for their futures. May God be with the people of Ukraine. May He restore their safety, lives and peace of mind. In Jesus name, Amen. 🙏🌻
So many journalists are so incredibly brain-dead. And this one is no exception. Anastasia was giving an absolutely fascinating and revealing account of the interaction with the Russian soldiers, and just about to say what their response was when they were asked why they wrote "Glory to Ukraine" on their phones. At that point this incompetent journalist interrupts her to talk about fleeing. So then we get a fleeing story. Lots of people flee. They're afraid. They escape. They make it to safety (or not). It's essentially the same story, repeated over and over and over again. But how often do you get to hear a first-person account of an interaction with the invading forces? Insight into the relationship between Ukrainians and Russians in such a context is much more interesting than an escape story, at least to me. For those who prefer another escape story, I recommend splitting this video up into two parts and letting her talk at length about both aspects of the story. Interviewing journalists are SO frustrating, especially on soundbite channels like this one. It's what you find on most (all?) commercial channels. Piss me off! At one point the journalist says: "I have about a minute left..." Why does she only have about a minute left??? It's because of her brain-dead editor boss (and bosses - all the way to the top of CNN). These things are packaged and controlled so as to limit their quality, if not by intent then certainly in their results. Dismal.
Is it really necessary to ask people how they feel? I think we all know. This is just an attempt to get emotional reactions instead of just getting the facts of what happened. Reports like this really pis me off. As I said, if she would just let the girl speak, I think we can all imagine how she felt.
She’s lucky they didn’t teach her how to fly. They do that to civilians in apartments. These soldiers are the worst of the worst. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 hold strong guys. You will win this.👍 God Bless

A joke that I heard. A contest was held to assess the best police in the world: the English, the American and the Russian. They released a rabbit in the middle of a forest. The British police, using techniques of interrogation of the animals of the forest, located the rabbit in 30 minutes. The American, using satellite images, located the rabbit in 25 minutes. The Russian entered the forest, and after 5 minutes, the Russian police brought in a porcupine full of bruises and fractures. The animal squeaked, "I'm a rabbit! I'm a rabbit!"

@@ArgosySpecOps Remember, the average Russian isn't too intelligent, otherwise WHY would they be listening to an accepting Vlad Putin's propaganda for the past 20 years?
They got lucky. The squad commander must have some moral values. He's not letting his soldiers rape n pillage. That situation could've been ALOT worse.
yes, it's crucial to understand the mentality of invaders. when they say "are you a n@zi" to a person who is a patriot of their country or ask if someone was paid to be publicly angry at the occupants+invaders - shows the level of brainwashing russians are under. it's just like a cult - no matter your level of education, intelligence, critical thinking, one still might fall prey to a cult so must be vigilant. but, in the soviet era, imagine being indoctrinated since your birth almost till your death (since some people did outlive the soviets) into the ideology of the c0mmie state - i imagine, it's not much better now, even if soviets are formally gone, mentality still prevails - it's tough to get rid of beliefs one was born into and believed themselves - and look at the putler - the hope of soviet "reunification" seems to still be alive in that man's evil mind, despite the free sovereign countries not wanting that at all. just like the baltics didn't actually want to join in the first place, but were rushed by stalin to become a wwii front to delay german troops from marching onto russian soil. also, russian empire swallowed and rusified many nations within its belly - look at the map of "ethnicities in russian federation" and you'll see that russians as ethnical people are not what russian federation makes. i have my questions and doubts about what does the russian ethnicity make, since constant flow of people there including viking settlements, tatar-mongol invasions, and even phenotypically it is visible a big part of that ethnicity has also ukranian roots because it was "kievan rus" in the beginning, actually. sigh. it's always sad and bad when war happens, but this war pootin is doing is completely idiotic.
When I was in the Swiss Military in the late 70ties and early 80ties our guns were pointed towards the East. For us, they were always the "reds' and Americans the "blue" I would have given my life for free Switzerland without hesitation and thank God it never got there. God Bless Anastasija and I wish her only the best and our prayers are with her and the whole country. What Russia does will bring the day of reckoning for them

At one point the journalist says: "I have about a minute left..."
Why does she only have about a minute left???

I'm a rabbit!"

yes, it's crucial to understand the mentality of invaders. when they say "are you a n@zi" to a person who is a patriot of their country or ask if someone was paid to be publicly angry at the occupants+invaders - shows the level of brainwashing russians are under. it's just like a cult - no matter your level of education, intelligence, critical thinking, one still might fall prey to a cult so must be vigilant.
but, in the soviet era, imagine being indoctrinated since your birth almost till your death (since some people did outlive the soviets) into the ideology of the c0mmie state - i imagine, it's not much better now, even if soviets are formally gone, mentality still prevails - it's tough to get rid of beliefs one was born into and believed themselves - and look at the putler - the hope of soviet "reunification" seems to still be alive in that man's evil mind, despite the free sovereign countries not wanting that at all. just like the baltics didn't actually want to join in the first place, but were rushed by stalin to become a wwii front to delay german troops from marching onto russian soil.
also, russian empire swallowed and rusified many nations within its belly - look at the map of "ethnicities in russian federation" and you'll see that russians as ethnical people are not what russian federation makes. i have my questions and doubts about what does the russian ethnicity make, since constant flow of people there including viking settlements, tatar-mongol invasions, and even phenotypically it is visible a big part of that ethnicity has also ukranian roots because it was "kievan rus" in the beginning, actually.
