the American shotgun is a perfect deterrent to the katana in this campaign, that's why this is a highly balanced campaign and probably the best campaign in the game

It sometimes doesn't work and you just swing your katana for nothing, because the developers are lazy as filthy Communists. 2: Increase your stamina and sprint speed via perks 3: Make sure you have your canteen to boost your stamina regeneration speed. 4: Use your Katana charge not only for attacking, but also for swift moving like Divine Wind. Engineer Ⅱ would be suited nicer which he has extra stamina regeneration speed and he also needs to sprint faster to build a rally point for surprise attack. 5: Katana charge is pretty useful, especially in a building. Yet has no better odds against multiple enemies, flame throwers, and machine guns. Pick your right target and right timing before charge blindly to your death. 6: May the Emperor's favor is with you.

I've captured so many points just by Banzaing into the enemy position. They just can't seem to do anything especially if you alternate between stabbing with your bayonet and firing to take down Joe after Joe. I have the Jap squad with the Japanese flags hanging from their Type 99's and it's the perfect squad to do such a tactic considering they cycle their bolts much faster.
Don't let this video detract from the fact that the sword let's you run insanely fast with rifleman ii. I personally put it on engineers too in order to get a good rally spot.

Recently found this game and I feel like it could really advance with the ai if they gave you order like fallout command to charge with you build or dig to lay down or crouch or to shoot with you like fire or hold position little stuff like those could play a huge part but it would take some time for the game developer to add those coding in the game

Ok getting to the serious stuffs: in game this is funny of course - because you dont die after your kamikaze attack; you gain experiences and getting better and better every time. But in reality: this tactic called "banzai charge" was first used very successfully against the poorly armed chinese forces from 1937 to 1941. Because, again, They had mostly only bolt action rifles. But the Americans had much better weapons, so even if some ferocious charge was successful against them too, it caused massive casualties! And do you remember what I said about the game earlier? Experience- nothing better than an army of veteran soldiers , whose saw many-many combat situations and learned from them. All in all Japan run out of veteran troops and newbies werent on the same level - on the other side, most of the US marines and pilots have learned how to fight effectively. That's one part of the history how America won (the another part was a bigger fact i know: the better economy- but still, combat experiences matter as well).

The problem is that most actuale players can just insta kill you in the charge , so it's only useful if you charge from close range or from behind them . But then at that range their AI just flick shot insta kill you ,It's not as useful as it would seem .

It's all safe farming in the grey zone until you hear someone shout "Banzai" a metre from your position.
It's great, you can reach the enemy tank spawn on most maps if you have a sword, extra stamina, and a flask too

I fucking love climbing halftracks to melee the tankers. Also, I just had 12 melee kills in a single run with the Shin Gunto today, damn epic.
