Thanks for this beautiful cut! I'd like to have a haircut like this but couldn't find a good hair dresser like you. Others are using the blade to thin the hair and causing hair damage in the future.

This is the best cut for my curly, thick hair and sadly I keep getting butchered because no one I find knows how to come close to this shape no matter how much I try to describe it, any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Cheers Martin. Depending if the client wants a smooth or textured finished result will always determine what products to use. Sometimes I don’t use any products at all.
I tend to use a lot of mouse or texture spray before blow drying for a textured result.
Depending on the hair type I’ll use a light lotion Will a dab of serum for a smooth result.
And to finish a light hair spray or texture spray if needed

Love the style. But because I have never done a full haircut on my own hair I think this would be a bit difficult to do. So I'm going to ask my stylist to do. Just one thing -how do you actually cut the back of your own hair if you can't see it??

I would have liked it have seen cut just BEFORE styling....in it's natural state, to see how the cut lays... that's how I would wear it! Also you don't show the neckline CUT?? Or did you cut any of it?

Would this cut work on fine textured hair? If so, would the cut have to be modified in some way?
This haircut is perfect for all hair textures, the only allowances you would need to make is the length that would best suit the hair's density and also what the client requests

I tried that on my mannequin and one side looked nice and feathery and the other side looked choppy.
I only did the front. The good side would be the mannequins left side as she is facing forward. I'm left handed. I don't know if it matters.
I'm a returning cosmetologist and am practicing on mannequins before I attempt a human being.
Hey Barbara, the reason one side may look different to the other is your body postition, elevation could have been slightly different to the opposite side

in this tutorial i am using an old pair, they are a 5 inch Tommi. I also use a 5 inch precision scissor from Mizatani (all precision haircutting and refining hairlines), and a 7 inch Hikari (dry cutting), and my third scissor is for slicing.
