First and foremost. The "Perfect" hunter you are referring to is the hunter with unlimited resources. They own their land. They cultivate it for big bucks. And they have the time. U give Zack or any hunter worth his salt the resources some of these jokers have and its game over. I've never owned an inch of dirt im my life. Never used a trail cam. More times than not its not about the man. Its about the resources he has. And his ability to use them.

I kinda noticed that in the replay. I know he said the buck got their wind but it seemed like when he swung that camera around the buck pinpointed that movement , took a split second to confirm it and got out of town. He didn’t seem to stop and smell , but rather stop and spot. That being said , I feel like there’s almost as much pressure on the camera man as there is the hunter. But with Zach not making a swing to shoot it would have probably been best to stay still and let the buck get by them. They may have had a chance to make a quick play after they were out of his line of sight.

Don't beat yourself up Zach you're a hell of a hunter. You said the "key words" learn from your mistakes.
I learned that same mistake about 20 years ago doing the same thing.
I always now pick up the bow right after doing some kind of calling sequence. Have had a lot just come running in. Had two Giants come in running in at the same time. Heard my first snort wheeze at the same time. Seen a giant 10 run away like a little girl from the big 8 with drop tines. Glad to see you guys utilizing the mock buck fight more these days. My favorite tactic this time of year.

I’ve rattled in 12 plus bucks between North Dakota and South Dakota this year from the ground and it is so difficult. Especially self filming. They can come from anywhere, at eye level they see all movement with no wind cover, they come in looking hard and they usually try to downwind you. It’s got to be the perfect storm. The ground is a different beast. Sweet videos guys.
