- This walk takes us from the county town of Hertfordshire along the Riverside Walk to the neighbouring town of Ware. First we take a walk around Hertford to view its historic buildings and other curiosities before taking the Riverside Walk along the River Lea to Ware. We stop for a much-needed drink at one of Ware's most popular pubs, The Waterside Inn, before taking a stroll up its High Street. We take a brief look inside the church, where a notorious figure from English history is reported to be interred, and then back along the Lea to Hertford.
Lived in Hertford for 16 years. I miss it.
That was a most enjoyable walk, thank you for taking us. So beautiful, so tranquil.
Must of done this on my bike a thousand times, How I miss it ..
Hi David, I downloaded this vid and will watch it tonight when I'm making my dinner. I'd just like you to know as well that I am high and dry and have not been affected by the floods here in Victoria, Australia, other than I am working hard to repair an earthen dam before the next big storm (it was quite badly eroded by the last one).
God Bless and thank you for your videos.
Wonderful to hear from you, Guineith. Glad you're keeping well.
So pleasant and soothing walk video, All scenes are fascinating but the best part I like inside the waterside inn, the television was broadcasting the church service, this is so cool and lovely. God bless waterside inn, God bless this channel. keep it up.
Thank you, Dave. Just did a big walk yesterday. Should have it up and running soon.
Thank you my family the Roberts had several properties in and around Ware long ago. Sawtrees Manor and several others. My ancestor Francis Roberts left Hinxworth for Virginia in 1650 I look forward to your videos. Bill Roberts
I believe Sawtrees Manor is the one near Barwickford?
Sawtrees Manor Thunderidge. Cold Christmas Lane beautiful property restored and currently lived in. I am quite taken with it.
@@billroberts5779 I've walked past there many a time.
If you go to Essex and stop in Little Braxted I would very much appreciate a photo of Little Braxted Hall another family property for a bit. I understand there is a church there that is quite the sight.
@@billroberts5779 We do walks in Essex so I'll look into that one.
Love your videos. I hope you do a new grave documentary someday.
Thanks
