lmao so true
😂😂
The fact she left the equivalent of $60,000 to her local animal shelter though.. like I don’t hate her
Its 600,000 that's a sweet gesture
Same
Also for her dad s grave
I read her father had taken a hatchet to some pigeons on their property to dissuade neighborhood children from coming over...pigeons Lizzie had built a roost for. I don't know the validity of the story. Leaving that sum of money to an animal organization back then would have probably been nearly unheard of.
Guilt!!!
I personally think she did it. However, if she did, I don’t think it was over money. I think if she did, I believe it was because of something traumatic. That kind of passion and gruesomeness makes me think trauma driven, not greed.
Yeah I think so too. Especially if you interpret their closeness with the housekeeper and losing their mom at such a young age.
I don't think she physically had the strength to do it! Her father’s skull was almost cut in half! Where his eye fell out and was hanging there.... It had to of been a man.... Doesn't mean she didn't kill her step mom though
I agree! She must have had enough of whatever was going on and finally cracked.
Right. Tell that to Erik and Lyle Menendez.
you’d be surprised the strength people have in pure rage or terror, i suffer from ptsd and even though i’m a very small person and would never try to hurt someone, if someone were to severely trigger me i could seriously hurt them out of pure terror
I think Lizzie killed them, but also something doesn’t add up. I think there is a LOT more we don’t know and will never know!
There are so many details we dont know. And so many holes in what we do know

This is what I was looking for!!!
The reason they called the maid Maggie is because it was a slang/slur at the time for an Irish maid. There was a lot of prejudice against Irish immigrants at the time and many people would call Irish maids Maggie’s as in if you made a mess, “ don’t worry get your Maggie to clean it” and people would say ,” they’re all called Maggie anyway” instead of learning their names
Oh wow......all .those racial slurs depress me..lol....It's just the way of the world I guess..
@@jaquishajohnson6074 On english bars it was signs saying "No Blacks no Dogs no Irish" at the time.

Can we talk about how gorgeous her hair is today, like oh my god I-
There’s definitely more to this story.. something deeper was going on in that home. She didn’t do all of that just because her father was cheap.
He murdered her pets for no reason. I would kill someone too. Not even a question.
There is definitely more. Andrew wouldn't let Emma or Lizzie get married, and it also angered them that he changed the will so that ( I think) if he died first then Abby would've inherited everything. Also the fact that Andrew bought a house that wasn't near the other Bordens, and that he spent money on a house for Abby's sister but didn't really do anything for his children. Andrew also supposedly murdered Lizzie's pigeons with a hatchet, as well. Personally I think John Morse did it but there's a lot of information and motives involved but it's all over the place.
Don't burn yourself out, I'd much rather watch content that is of good quality and that I know you enjoyed making. Keep it up at whatever pace you're comfortable with, we'll all be here waiting with our notifications on :)

"Bought a very small house"
*house is 10 times bigger than my house*
@@nolitimere11 why u say that
So true, I was looking at the photo and thought: "This looks like there'd be 10 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms!" 😅
I know right, it's a mini mansion to me. Would have been a pretty classy street if all the houses looked like that. I'm glad that house was saved, as looking along the street, you see a lot of houses are gone and replaced with cheap nasty apartment blocks
@@franniepan It's actually pretty small but not that small. To get through to one bedroom, you have to go through the next.
@@angelika_munkastrap4634 Yes there are apartment complexes in that general area but when Kendall showed the recent picture, that building is actually our city hall. It's in back of the court house and the government center.
Here’s my theory:
She killed the stepmom. Then realized she had a lot of blood on her dress, took it off and burned it. Still no dress on. By the time the dress had fully burned she went and killed her dad in her undergarments. Took the hatchet apart, maybe also burned the handle alongside the dress, and hid the metal part of it in the attic. Then she put on a fresh dress and went screaming to get the neighbors. She knew the police would leave her alone if she blamed any blood on her underclothes on her period, bc not only is that believable, but also old timey men are gonna be old timey men.
It was described as a tiny or minute speck on just her underskirt, though, so I don’t really buy that. Bludgeoning produces a lot of blood, and it should have been all over the front of her undergarments at that point.
Is it me or do older crime stories like this sound like they're out of a fairy tale story or something? Nobody faints this much anymore😂
She was also on a ton of morphine 😂
Yeah old stories like this don’t ever really seem real to me. I guess bc they’re so old and life was so different back then from how it is now, it’s like a whole other world that nobody can relate to. And I always thought fainting like that only happened in cartoons 😂
livy x so she probably just passed out from all the morphine they gave her and they just said she “fainted” 😂 guess that sounds better lol 🤷🏻♀️

I love how they let the klepto be in charge of the church’s treasury, lol😂😂
Maybe knowledge of her habit wasn't as wide as we think? After all if shopkeepers gossiped or complained they'd lose Andrews custom & he was wealthy: & the Birden's Cousins who lived on the hill were even wealthier. So you could risk a family boycott of your shop. I'm guessing it came out after the risk when mist towns folk were acting they thought she was guilty so shopkeepers knew there'd be no backlash if it was mentioned.
it was a church so who cares

Daily Does Of Smiling I would be happy if I only would have found her now so I could see all her amazing interesting content
Came across her channel after wanting to her persons commentary on dirty John
ME!!! and its been a godsend
Yesss!
I've always believed that Lizzie Borden was responsible and she killed her parents. She seems to be the only person who could've done it. Abby had way more blows to the face than Andrew and that shows someone had a huge hatred for her which was Lizzie. It's very weird that she decided to burn a dress that supposedly had paint on it. I think she burned it because the paint was actually blood and she was getting rid of the evidence. One of the main theories on how Lizzie could've killed her parents is she was in the nude which would explain why no blood was ever found on her clothing, except for that blood spot found inside her clothing. I saw a movie where they used this theory to act out what could've happened and how it was done. The movie wasn't very good but it was still interesting to see how she could've committed the murder. She definitely had a motive where she could've killed them because she wanted the money to buy her dream home.
I agree. I think the Netflix special also followed the theory that Lizzie may have been naked during the murders. I've watched so many Lizzie Borden docs though, I could be thinking of a totally different portrayal lol.
@@dorkmyride I think it's the only way she could've killed her parents without getting blood on her. There's also another theory that Maggie could've killed the parents alongside Lizzie. In the movie, Maggie and Lizzie were going to kill Andrew and Abby together and both of them were also in the nude. Maggie was supposed to kill Andrew but Maggie chickened out and couldn't do it so Lizzie ended up killing both of them.
First, I love your profile pic. Second, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Lizzie. She seems like the only one who really had a motive, since she hated her step mom. And if you really think about it, back then they had to wear corsets and those would be harder to get out of super quick after a murder so she probably did it naked and took a bath after
@@livmaddie8110 Thanks! 😁 Yes, I totally agree. She's the only logical person who could've committed these crimes. She was the only one who had a strong hatred for Abby apart from Emma. She disliked her too but not to the point where she would commit murder, I think. Lizzie on the other hand one of two motives. She strongly believes she and Emma deserved to live in a better lavish home than the one they were living in which was actually crap even though it was his money. I totally understand why he didn't spend lavishly and brag at his wealth. But at the same time, it was a little much. They still could've lived in a nicer home that wasn't a mansion.
Her sister said she heard nothing at all? She was in on it. The fact that they ended up not being able to stand each other in the big house they bought and both never talking about their childhood speaks volumes. Dark things happened in that house that we may never know about!

Hi kendall! My mom works with someone who's daughter went missing on October 2nd. Her name is Madison Sparrow. There are a lot of searches going on for her. She is 17 and lives in Delaware with her mom. She was last seen entering a car with 3 men. It would mean a lot if you could talk about her case
Oh God 🤦🏾♀️
Bump this up pls. And I really hope they find her!
Update, they found her sadly dead and looks like the ex set it up. How tragic
@@MartianCandies is this real

I watched a show, several years ago, where they were 'investigating' this case. After all these years, they used luminol and you could see where the blood ran thru the floors. It also showed blood in the basement sink and fire place. It was suspected Lizzie had washed up in that sink and burned her clothes in that fireplace.
Since it was such a violent crime doesn't it seem like there is some back story were missing. It makes me feel like something was happening to Lizzie behind closed doors that may have mentally pushed her over the edge. Seems to me like there is some serious anger behind this crime.
Emotional abuse? She wasn't married, why? Women were usually married by their mid 20's latest back then. Was he too controlling to let her have suitors? Being single was not a norm then, unless widowed.
Yeah, this is one of the stories on here that feels most incomplete. Someone who kills for greed doesn't violently bludgeon someone to death THAT many times. It takes some severe hatred, anger, and energy to go that far. Seems like we'll never know exactly what happened I guess.
Some people belive that the dad molested the girls, and the mom did nothing about it.
Yes! So much overkill!
@@sarahholland2600 I was thinking the same thing, or perhaps the father did something along the lines of abuse to his daughters maybe thats why they never got married because they were so traumatized by it. Just speculation but all that would make sense.
so no one gon talk about how their uncle john look like abraham lincoln 😭😭😂

The house is extremely small inside tbh
Police: why do you have blood on your undies/skirt?!?!
Lizzie: uh it’s my period.
Police:...get out...
LMAO
HAHA
Maybe it’s just me thinking this, but I honestly don’t think the murders were committed just because she wanted to live a better life. There seemed to be some real rage behind the murders. And that’s why I think there was abuse of some sort going on there. If he was abusing his children, I don’t blame her for acting the way she did 🤷🏻♀️ especially if the step mom was an enabler
Agree. If she was just doing it for their money, her life afterwards would have been more lavish. Loves dogs more than people? she wasn’t ok. I also think if Lizzie did it, her sister was in on it.
I think the girl or women were abused by the dad...Elizabeth Montgomery played Lizzy in a movie of the week and it turns out Elizabeth was a distant relative of Lizzy B...
its been years but i still come and go about the matter, the circumstances around it quickly implies guilt to me but then the re-enactments and confusing logistics of it all keep feeding the doubt in me...

When I was on morphine immediatetly after breaking my shoulder, I couldn't tell the nurses my middle name if I tried. The fact that Lizzie was super errantic and wild after taking a larger dose...checks out.
right?? I was on something similar to morphine once and couldn't respond to the most simple questions asked by the doctor lol. I swear I had to think super hard to tell him my name and my address 😂
Exactly! I remember when I was on morphine it took me about 10 minutes just to say my older brother’s name, I couldn’t for the life of me say his name for whatever reason, it does some crazy stuff to your brain
Strange. On morphine I’m fine
I feel like she did kill them but only to get away from them, maybe the abuse speculations were true. The fact that she fainted when she saw their skulls, didn't try to defend herself, and took care of them after they died shows how she didn't kill them because she enjoyed doing so. Probably because she thought that was her only way out but who knows 🤷♀️ what do you guys think?
I agree, the taking care of the grave and not defending herself seems like there was a breaking point when she just felt like she had to kill them . Also I just don’t believe money was the thing that triggered them (sisters) I feel like something dark and twisted was going on behind the walls after their father remarried . Which is why both sisters didn’t like their parents
@@julial6620 for real, there's no way the sister distanced herself from her family purely because of the money. Liz probably felt more alone in the house with her parents
totally. and it's very common for only one sibling to be abused. It makes total sense when you think of this case from an abuse standpoint. I can see why the sisters got distant and literally everything can be explained by abuse, in my opinion.
She would not have taken care of the grave if he was abusing her. And she also didn't do it so there's that.
@@tarakennedy707 I feel like it's different for everyone. Even if someone was abused, I'm sure some people still wouldn't feel good about killing their own parents. Also why are you so sure she didn't do it? Literally no one is sure about what happened.
I’ve heard many pieces about this case and I honestly can’t decide. The evidence against her is compelling but it’s also important to remember that simply going in to someone’s home and killing them wasn’t very difficult back then and having a lot of money would paint a pretty big target on your back. There’s just not enough there to fully convince me.
I agree, for all we know Bridget and/or Emma could’ve left the house and made sure they were seen and then snuck back into the house and killed them, they had just as much motive to do it as Lizzie did
we’re they robbed, what would the motive be jus bc he was rich doesn’t mean they’d have a direct link to getting any of that money and going upstairs to finish off the rest of the family and not leaving the house completely empty?

I've always judged the girls who used their periods as an excuse not to go to gym class 😂
@@normaferreira9504 You shouldn’t. Some people actually have really difficult periods. For me my cramps would be so bad I would throw up on the first day of my period. It was to the point where I missed school because of it. So, yeah when I had it the last thing I wanted to do was run around a gym playing basketball. Maybe you were one of the lucky ones that didn’t have it so bad?
Thousands of years, actually, all the way back to the book of Genesis with Rebekah hiding her father's idols 🤭
I thought the uncle John was accused at one point, wasn’t he? He disappeared at the beginning of the day, and wasn’t seen until like a day or so later. (?)
Yess and when asked where he was during the time of the murder he said he was at the doctor's. But the doctor was at the crime scene for medical shit
Yeah the Uncle was a good suspect

But what would be the motive, when lizzie had clear motive and even had blood where you wouldn't find period blood based on description on her underwear? I don't know it's so clear to me she did it, just not if she was alone to do it and exactly how the events transpired.
@@leslieanne9311 John Morse didn't like Andrew that much because Andrew wasn't letting Emma and Lizzie get married, and he probably had mixed feelings about Abby because Lizzie's mother, Sarah, was his sister, and Abby getting put into Sarah's old place may have felt weird. I visited the Lizzie Borden BnB in Feb of this year and I have to say the town is so scary and sad. The BnB itself is really cool, through uncomfortable (the beds are really small). We slept in Maggie's room and apparently it was the most haunted part of it. We didn't experience anything but it was fun all the same to go and see this place :)
That's so neat!
I visited about 2 years ago just for a tour & I had a weird experience sitting on the couch where Andrew was killed .. I randomly got insanely lightheaded and felt like I couldn’t hear what the tour guide was saying. Could have been a coincidence, but I like to think it was paranormal !! ☺️
@@amandapanda1288 let's just go with that to feel cool....lol
@@amandapanda1288 I did feel like something touched my elbow while in the tour, I asked the woman behind me and she looked so freaked out that I asked her. I assume it was just maybe fabric touching me or something idk...but it sure scared her.
Thats so interesting! I've always wanted to visit New England.
Is there anything else to visit in the area?
“Their nasty soup breakfast” 🤣🤣🤣
every time I see anything about Lizzie Borden my brain instantly goes "IT WAS JOHN"
Glamgore?

You are so right!!
Same lol
Lol, me too! Hello Zombae’s
I’m so excited for Crimetober! This is one of the only you tubers I love to watch throughout this month
Me too
Stephanie Harlowe does Harloween which is also very good.
A WHOLE MONTH INSTED OF JUST FREAK WEEK MY HEART!!!
I watched the whole Lizzie Borden story on Netflix, I got addicted and was gutted when it ended - then I remembered it's a true story and had a word with myself! I'm glad you covered this, thank you!! 💖
LOVE THE BACKGROUND SETUP
Something I just learned from the Psychology in Seattle channel, kleptomania is typically a form of passive aggressiveness. People who steal things compulsively that they don't really need are basically getting revenge on a world or society they feel hasn't been fair to them. That could potentially point to a lot of rage Lizzie was feeling inside.
Fun Fact: It was rumored that Lizzie was a lesbian who was having an affair with her maid Bridget.
What?! lol...I bet back then people hid such relationships big time!!!
@@timbixbi9938 oh yeah! it was rumored her dad found out and threatened to cut off her finances which is why she killed them. Could all be fake but it makes for an interesting story!
Could you give me the link to the theory?
Peaches TM she didnt ive heard that too
"Yay I'm so excited to learn about lesbians of history"
She's a murderer: I'm not so excited now😔
I've never met anyone who thinks she didn't do it.
Especially bc killing Abbey first made sure Andrew's wealth went to her and Emma instead of Abbey's family.
I honestly don't think she did.
@@chrissymeri4957 interesting, mind if I ask what made you thing that?
@@chrissymeri4957 she obviously did
It may have been a group plan, but I think John Morse did it.

Kendall: the crime scene photos aren’t graphic 🤗
The photos: someone’s head smashed in like a pumpkin 🥴
Exactly... Why I think a man did it! She didn't have the strength! 🙁
I only saw censored versions of them and honestly that's okay
Anne Blubaugh At the risk of sounding like a psychopath, I think a woman wouldn’t have trouble with caving someone’s head in.
PyroShayNiac not psychotic, just true. swinging an ax isn’t easy, but if you’re pissed you can do some damage
sleepy even pissed off a woman usually poison people they can't physically do that type of damage to a skull

The theory with his eyes actually makes sense!I learned that sexual assault victims that murder usually attack the article of the body that was used to assault them, so it really does add up.
So why the eyes then? Is it because when he was assaulting her he was looking at her body?
@@nataliawashington872 maybe he kept making eye contact with her while that happened or he kept looking at her personal parts
But if so then why didn't she killed him first? Why killed the step mother first when she didn't have anything to do with Lizzie speculative sexual assault?
@@dafazain5978 sometimes the victim can end up feeling just as much rage towards an enabler or someone who knew but didn't help, or she needed to get rid of her so it would be less of a fight when getting rid of her dad.
@@screamqueen1946 I think it's the second one. Lizzie thought her step mother will suspect her and ruined her plan. Or maybe Lizzie deep down still hate her step mother as she couldn't see her as subtitute for her biological mother
tbh even if she felt like her dad's wealth was limited to her, she could have just been nice to her step mom and lived a cushy life. no need for murder
you don’t say?
“Crimetober” is going to be LIT! Whatever you choose to talk about will be amazing, you’re great at what you do!! Thank you for your hard work!! Much love from Tennessee ❤️❤️
Me: Heard this Case a 100X
Kendall: I'm talkin about LIzzie Borden
Me: Kendall's covering it? Let's go!
Lmao same i love how she tells stories. Calms me.
Literally me lol
Legit
I am from Fall River and used to live two mins away from the Borden house. I used to live in Lizzie’s best friend’s house. Lemme tell you, it was crazy haunted! Lol
Lizzy was naked when she murdered them...my American history teacher taught us this theory
I've heard this too
That is the theory I've heard. She would have been able to clean herself and then get dressed again very quickly
I’ve heard that too!
I was taught that she and her father had some sort of inappropriate relationship going on or she had some sort of infatuation with her father beyond a father daughter relationship, so she was incredibly jealous of her step mom and wanted her dead. Her being naked was a way to trick the father and bait him so she could kill him easily.
@@theamethyst93 😖😖😖😖
My guess is Lizzie and Emma hired someone to kill them. They wouldn’t do the dirty work themselves, and Lizzie orchestrated distractions and directions for the killer to murder them quickly and without getting caught. Then she got rid of any evidence she had. Just speculation, but to me makes the most sense!
They convinced their Uncle John to do it. Lots of theories about it. Makes the most sense.
I agree. She wouldn't have had time to change since her father's body was still warm.
Probably... It had to of been a dude with how bad they were bludgeoned to death
there’s a good chance with how “prissy” they acted, if they truly wanted that amazing life they likely didn’t want to get their hands dirty.
Liking her animals more than people....relatable!! 🙌🏽💁🏽♀️😎
I watched a show The Dead Files that did a special episode where the physical medium went through the house. She said Andrew would beat his wife horribly & committed incest to both Lizzie & her sister. Like really disgusting, painful stuff. That the mother knew but was too terrified & never stopped it. The medium felt that Lizzie's personality fractured & part of her went totally insane & that's the part of her that was able to commit such a violent crime. It was really interesting & a different perspective on the story.
I did so much research on this case, i even did a paper on it in high school, i have so many theories on this. They even have the whole court transcript on line..
Fun fact for you Kendall!! My half sisters family are descendants of Lizzie, through her Uncle William B Morse! Her cousins, Aunts and Grandmother all have similar facial features that have passed down from the Morse family and Lizzie.
That’s so cool and crazy!
You can buy her house! It’s up for sale 😂
@@sarahannwilks8251 Its insane, when we traced the documents and family tree we ended up finding the connection to Sarah. William had already moved to the Midwest when the murders happened.
@@lovelylinds Hahahaha, isnt it supposed to be a historical landmark or something? I wouldnt tempt my sister with that carrot.
How Cool is that!!
Lizzie’s house from her adulthood is for sale if anyone is interested 😳
Don’t tempt me...
@@lillystryker8570 let's do it 👀
i actually went to the house over the summer with my friend and in bridget’s room i felt something grab my leg and absolutely could not breathe in it, it was like bad energy. in our room (lizzie and emma suite) we both felt a heavy pushing on our chests 30-40min apart, my charger completely shot out of the wall no sparks or anything, my friend’s phone died around 3 times in 2 hours. i def recommend it its really cool learning abt the case.
When she said she was a Taurus >>> yes girl we cannot STAND change 😭
Same! I just can’t handle it 😫
I'm Taurus moon so def same lol I'm probably one of those cringey can't-get-out-of-2006 kind of people 😂

Maybe it was the ghost of Lizzie
I'm from Fall River, MA... Ive heard so many stories of the Borden family murders and i can say this is extremely well done.
The dad made a big mistake covering for his daughter stealing. Rewarding bad behavior is never good.
