I met them at 10am in the Hellfest in... 2018 I think! I didn't know them but I understood really fast knew who they are! They are legends and I love 'em also for keeping Maoris in the memories! But... I don't approve the "sheeesh" in this live (live of this video I mean" Edit: "knew"
Alien Weaponry is a fantastic reminder that melody is king. Instrumental virtuosity is great, but nearly as impactful as a hook that will stay in your head forever
Im the former owner of that bass. Brought it in NZ while living in Aus, left it in NZ and never plugged it in. Couldn't justify holding onto it after 5 years sitting in a case
As an older metal head, listened to over 35 yrs of metal..seen some top metal bands too! I can honestly say these guys are the Best...i cant stop listening to them!! Hopes to see them live..Awesome af!🤘🤘🖤🖤
Ever since I first listened to Tai Kagata you guys have just been getting better and better. Love you guys and all other metal artists that are showing just how versatile and powerful the medium can be.
Saw these badass dudes open for Gojira in Portland, ME recently. They went on right before Knocked Loose, but they paled. These guys put on one hell of a fucking show! Great stage presence given that they had barely any room due to Gojira's huge setup. Keep up the sick music guys.
I was at the same concert and I gotta say it's the first concert I had gone too that I really enjoyed every band. Alien Weaponry absolutely killed it, I'd love to see them play a longer set.
I would be _so stressed_ if my band's rehearsal room had a mirror setup 3" from my face. Lol You guys are killing it though! Super tight! Aloha from Hawaii, boys.
That way you can always look up to make sure you are looking badass.. Appearances are a HUGE part of live performance, that often gets overlooked by musicians.
Fuckin absolutely shredded all over that! Chops so tight boys. Your levels across the board were spot on. Everyone's vocal parts where all dynamic and tight. Whoever mixed you fuckin nailed it
Man aside from the music being killer, it’s just nice to see a band look like they don’t hate each other and are just going through the motions. Keep up the bad-assery dudes. 🤘🤘
A.W. are one of those bands, you don't know where you first heard them, but you know you'll never stop listening. Ever. Keep it up chaps, much love from the UK, would be awesome to see you on tour one day soon!! 🤘
Been listening to metal for over 20 years, and these guys are hands down one of my absolute top favourites. Their music really woke up my Hawaiian and Native American roots.
I don't often make comparisons between metal bands bc bands like Alien Weaponry stand on their own and bands are INFLUENCED by others. But I can't help thinking about System Of A Down's 1st album listening to AW rehearsal here and the raw af presentation. No doubt these guys will rise much higher but hope they don't lose this rawness. Fkn amazing !!
I saw you guy with Gojira in Chattanooga Tennessee a few weeks ago. Loved it. Refreshing to hear melody in metal. Keep up the good tunes. Much Love from the USA.
Unlike any other band from any other country, the eyes go wide open haka style. The Maori culture is not only assimilated to their music, it is indissociable from it. Love it.
Sounding more astonishing by the day! I still remember 5 years back when i began hearing of these guys, time sure flies when youre having fun like their music has been since day one. Best of luck boys we love ya
Dude, the room is smaller than a broom closet, what do you expect him to do? thrash against the drum kit? XD. Don't worry, I saw them live last night, the Bassist was a fucking badass psycho, nothing has been lost, only gained. They're in good hands with the new dude.
This is awesome. Great job 👍 Every tune is masterful here. Love the melodic/rhythmic vox and the time sigs, drums, bass, and bad ass guitar riffs and tune! You guys need to keep pushing. You have something special here-a sound like no other 🤘🤘
Really look forward to seeing you guys with Gojira. I'm a fan and it's a little extra special now that I've been able to travel to NZ and visit the country. Cheers fellas 🤘🤘
Never heard you guys before - I knew the name but never heard you - very good stuff - very tight and that has to be the smallest practice space I have ever seen!
Three part harmony is so sick in metal, sounds incredible. Love from the US
You can’t see me.. but I’m in a pit in my head with all of you watching
Know the feeling bro
The bassman has slotted in perfectly 👌
His face tattoo is amazing! MAORI!
he has an awesome vibe about him. you can tell he’s really into it… like he just let’s go and plays and acts however he feels.
Man the vocals and harmonizing sounds amazing guys
🔥🔥🔥🔥

I met them when they were on tour woth gojira and knocked loose last year, and now i listen to them almost religiously.

as a New zealand born polynesian who loves metal, this stuff really "speaks to my soul" on a real deep level....
I wanna learn the lyrics I'm sure it's a lot better when you know everything being said
Am I perhaps a New Zealand born Polynesian? My soul was spoken to as well.... on a primordial ooze deep level.
A big thanks to Alien Weaponry for using a language I can understand (metal music) to bring this culture to my awareness!
@@BEERBOMB113 I'm sure there's a Google for that. Lol.
Rare to see Polys into this music ay respects
These guys have a great vibe live. Great name and music
Love this band….pass it on
haaaammer killer riffs killer albums 🤘🤘🤘🖤🖤🖤
Never has the term POWER TRIO been more appropriate.
Alien Weaponry is a fantastic reminder that melody is king. Instrumental virtuosity is great, but nearly as impactful as a hook that will stay in your head forever
Kai Tangata really needs to be a wrestler's entrance theme.
No doubt!
Best native music ever. Greetings from Peru Southamerica.
Love me some 3 piece!
Hell Fucking Yes!
Kai tangata is also my favourite , and should always be the last song played 😂😂
this is so sick, never really sat down and listened to these guys but their live shit always gets me going. That bass is so chunky
That bass sounds like it ate all the pies and is hungry for more. One CHONKY boy.
Im the former owner of that bass. Brought it in NZ while living in Aus, left it in NZ and never plugged it in. Couldn't justify holding onto it after 5 years sitting in a case
That snare sound cures cancer for real
This is now my new favorite band. Holy fucking shit.
This is fucken insane!!!!!!!
Being able to put on this good of a show just looking at there own reflections is pretty awesome too
As an older metal head, listened to over 35 yrs of metal..seen some top metal bands too! I can honestly say these guys are the Best...i cant stop listening to them!! Hopes to see them live..Awesome af!🤘🤘🖤🖤
I'm going to have to rewatch this ty so much for posting
New bassist player
Bassist has fitted the band like a glove. Carries the energy perfectly.
He picked it up easily. Wasn’t a bassist before this.
Ever since I first listened to Tai Kagata you guys have just been getting better and better. Love you guys and all other metal artists that are showing just how versatile and powerful the medium can be.

@@aituflame8222 would you like me to copy/paste my original comment, or would you rather me question my opinions based on yours? =)
I was at the same concert and I gotta say it's the first concert I had gone too that I really enjoyed every band. Alien Weaponry absolutely killed it, I'd love to see them play a longer set.
O M G man i love this band i really love how they kept their culture , dont change for shit keep your culture alive
@Alien Weaponry my new favorite metal band 💯💪👽 Those were some sick bass riffs on the first song! 😎👍
I would be _so stressed_ if my band's rehearsal room had a mirror setup 3" from my face. Lol
You guys are killing it though! Super tight!
Aloha from Hawaii, boys.

Waow good job, watch the Vice doc on you, really great values 👌 Can't wait to see you play the 9th of February in Bordeaux 🤘
you guys remind me of what sepultura did in the 90's with bringing their culture to metal. i love to see it.
I saw you guy with Gojira in Chattanooga Tennessee a few weeks ago. Loved it. Refreshing to hear melody in metal. Keep up the good tunes. Much Love from the USA.
I grew up in Chattanooga. 😉 great place.
I was ready for shitty and got quite original and cool! Nice❤️🔥
These guys always sound incredible. Studio, live recording, and even in person. I was super fortunate to see them in October 2021…amazing as always!
Unlike any other band from any other country, the eyes go wide open haka style. The Maori culture is not only assimilated to their music, it is indissociable from it. Love it.
why did i think this band was gonna be some basic thrash band? this is some island groove. HOLY SHIT I LOVE THIS
My wife and I were suppppper bummed when you weren't able to open for Gojira in October. Hopefully you guys will make it to the states in 2022!
These songs sound exactly the same as on the albums.
Sounding more astonishing by the day! I still remember 5 years back when i began hearing of these guys, time sure flies when youre having fun like their music has been since day one. Best of luck boys we love ya
I miss the old bassist. He was so good live. He always went nuts!
Yeah what Happened there

That was amazing guys! The mix was really well put together. Thanks!

When a bass player pulls out a Warwick shits going down
It's not a Warwick, it's a Spector, it's my old Spector US, I sold it to him
